Description of Work: They did a great job moving my entire house!

Description of Work: We used them to move about 10 years ago. We only moved about 5 miles away, and they somehow lost many of our priceless, valuable items from the truck. Also, when they packed up our curtain rods, they folded and bent them which made them useless. We called and called to try to find out where our belongings went and they weren't even willing to resolve our issue. It was a complete nightmare. We lost over 24 years worth of valuable antiques and household items and we never got them back. I would not recommend them to anyone. I couldn't put them in good faith and I don't think they even deserve a rating at all.

Description of Work: We had boxed most of our belongings which consisted of household goods and many books. They worked steadily and when they took breaks we were not charged. They loaded the truck drove it to our new home and unloaded it in 7 hrs. The truck was full! They also moved some boxes we had brought over into the basement. I recommend using these fellows. They came out of the Chaska office.

Description of Work: Instructions for separating out storage items ...furniture, books, glassware etc were only partially followed resulting in some breakage, difficulty in accessing..it could have been worse so overall it was adequate.

Description of Work: This was an in house moving of heavy furniture. Very nice men, didn't have a problem with me changing my mind where I wanted pieces to go. Arrived on time and did an excellent job quickly. They were very conscious of our things, and house. Will be using them again in the future.

Description of Work: Two Men & a Truck moved us about 2 miles from one house to another. At our first house there were three men, although only two actually moved/wrapped things because the third person was throwing up in out bathroom of the house that we were selling. Additionally it took the two men twice as long as it should have to pack up and they were just standing around for half an hour because the person who got sick was the driver and they had to wait for another driver to show up. Additionally, they took a lunch break in between packing out house and loading another, and still charged us for the extra half hour. When they got to the new house, literally 2 miles from the new, they had to wait because it was pouring and still charged us for that time as well. In all we had to pay for 7 hours of labor at a premium rate because we moved on a Sunday, for what should have taken 4 hours total and we shouldn't have been charged for the lunch hour or the third person's time at all. They did take off a "half hour" of time saying that the one that got sick would have only worked half hour more if he had been well despite us having to wait over an hour for the new person to show up. They also scratched our furniture (bedroom, living room and office) and had to send someone out which they didn't even respond for three weeks and I had to stay home an additional day from work in order to have the man fix our cherry bedroom furniture and office furniture. This was the worst experience I've had with moving and I would never recommend two men and a truck especially with the experience and cost of our move.

My original quote was 600 so I was a bit shocked at the 400.00 difference. | |Pros: |They moved my stuff | | |Cons: |They charged me an hour labor while the movers ate the pizza I bought (200.00 lunch - 50 for food, 150 for labor) |**********At first they were unresponsive to my request for a refund and after three messages and an email, I received a response. It was fairly obvious they didn't want to refund me, but they brought me a check for the labor I paid while the movers ate. | |They sent two younger able bodied guys and an older guy with a limp (I'm NOT trying to be sarcastic, just honest). The older guy seemed to be the "foreman" or to be telling the movers what to do. It would likely have taken less time ($$$) had he been able to contribute. | |They tore the top off of my oak desk while moving it. To their defense, I never brought this up since I recently discovered it after getting new carpet. | |All in all, I would likely try another company next time, or I'd pay closer attention and NOT provide lunch for the movers.

Description of Work: Movers were young kids who didn't move very fast. Took their sweet time for example trying to take a bed frame apart for 40 minutes and I told them to stop. Ended up my brother did it in less than 10. Also, one of them took screws that belonged to one of beds obviously home home with them in their pockets because they didn't leave them behind. Didn't take care to wrap a 90+ year old marble slab that went to an antique table of mine. It shattered in 3 pieces. |They did however replace the marble but it's worth is gone. Also, very poor judgement on estimating time to move. I was quoted 4-6 hours which turned into over 8 hrs. The movers did not place some items where I asked them to. IE: a Grill and more I have moved many times using family and have never broke anything. I hire so called "Professionals" and they offer this type of service?? I don't think so. Never again and they won't get a recommendation from me.

Description of Work: I have used Two Men and a Truck multiple times and would use them again. The lead person at your home during the move has always been outstanding and usually the other workers are excellent. I once experienced a worker who wasn't as professional as I would have liked (such as talking loudly about his personal life) but generally everyone shows a true interest in your move and an earnestness in making your personal belongings arrive at your new home in perfect shape.
