Top Choice Lawn Care

We have used Top Choice for a number of years. In past years they were fantastic, prompt and our lawn looked great. This year (2011) they have been poor. Our first application took place at the end of May and it included a note saying the application was to help prevent crabgrass. It was too late for that -- crabgrass was already growing. We have called them in early May and they admitted to running behind, but blamed the temperature. All of the other services in our neighborhood had already done the lawns as much as a month before. We are now close to July 1 and no sign of Top Choice for the second treatment. Weeds are popping up all over our yard. This didn't happen in prior years. Considering they send billing out months before the Spring, I am disappointed in the service and lack of communication to customers. Looks like Top Choice has taken their rating for granted. Again, they were superb until this year.

A 2-person team arrived in the morning and with one working in the front yard and one in the back, the job was finished in about 30 minutes. The bill (which was as quoted) was left in the front door. I have used Top Choice in the past and will do so again.

Excellent experience. I just moved into this house and the previous owner did not do a very good job taking care of the lawn (about 1/2 an acre property). With their help, the yard looks great. Creeping charlie eliminated as well as numerous dandelions and various other weeds. Their prices were cheaper or in line with everyone else I called. They were very professional and courteous, answering all my questions and talking through their plans for fixing my lawn. I will definite use them next year as well as recommend them.

I called them to obtain an estimate and they told me they'd drop by sometime and leave the estimate on my door if I wasn't home. A few weeks went by and I didn't hear from them, so I called them. They let me know that they'd be there within a few days, but then they never showed up. I haven't received an estimate or phone call from them since then. I won't use this company partially because of this, and also because they told me that they wouldn't be able to perform the other lawn services that I requested (tree trimming, etc).

When we contacted this company our lawn was a big disaster! We had more weeds, thistle, creeping Charlie, etc. than we had grass. Also many bare spots. They provided their estimate within 24 hours and scheduled the first treatment upon receiving our payment. (We paid up-front for all the work.) Within a few days of the first treatment the weeds were dead. Within 4-5 weeks grass was looking much better. Now after 3 months of service we are getting compliments on our lawn. The workers are friendly and go about their work efficiently and pay attention to what they are doing.

Our lawn was full of weeds and a definite eye sore in the neighborhood. We called Top Choice and they started us on a weed program and performed a Fall aeration. The lawn had been neglected for several years by the previous homeowners and Top Choice promised we'd have an entirely new lawn come summer. They were right. The lawn looks excellent. We will remain on their weed program. I gave the company a B for responsiveness because, with all the rain we received this year, our lawn started to get extremely weedy. I had to call to find out when they would be spraying our lawn as it was becoming unsightly. With continued rain, they were not able to come out right away. Once treated, however, the weeds disappeared and the lawn looked excellent!

It has been great. They always have been on time. One time we told them we were concern with one area of our yard. He came and tested it right away the next day with no charge!

We have been using them every spring, summer, and fall for at least three years. They are very conscious about applying the treatment at just the right time of year and at the proper weather conditions. If we have ever had an concerns about the lawn, they are quick to respond and provide advise on how to correct the problem. They call before coming out for each service, so we can be prepared for their visit. Our lawn looks much better than it did before using their service.

Our lawn was full of weeds - creeping charlie, dandelions, etc. We hired Top Choice Lawn service last May for the full season of fertilization, weed control, and later in the fall core areration and overseeding. Our lawn kept looking better and better. This spring (2010), our lawn emerged from the winter in much better shape - no weeds, fuller and healthier. We decided to go with the program again and signed on early in the year getting a discount on this year's service if you paid ahead. For 4 treatments (not aeration and overseeding) this year it cost $163.00. It is well worth the price. They are courteous, call before coming, and even move our children's play toys onto the patio from the lawn if we forget. We've tried other services before that often did not stick to any type of schedule or let us know when they were coming, or would sometimes perform the service on rainy days making us wonder if it would even work if it was diluted. We like Top Choice and would recommend them.

They are great. They are prompt, professional, and courteous. We have used them for two years and are pleased with their work.

It was very good. We put a request through their website for an estimate. The next morning at 7 am somebody was here doing the estimate. Their prices are very competitive. I like that they are local. We signed up on a Thursday and they were here on the following Monday. They were very friendly.

I spent about $38 for lawn treatment. My experience with them has been good, except for this year. I think whoever did the lawn in the fall did not realize that a large section of the lawn towards the back was part of what was included and we had some problem this spring. They came out and took care of it with when I told them, so I guess they would be treating it.

They do a better job than other companies. I use them because they got a good rating and they were responsive.

They gave their Angie's List discount and where less expensive than any other bid I received. What more can you ask for?

So far everything has been great. I have had the initial crabgrass preventer and fertilizer application. After the application, a few very small spots on the lawn browned and died. I reported this to Top Choice, their response was excellent - they agreed to come repair (seed) the patches in late May - that was completed today at no charge. So far I am a happy customer and recommend Top Choice to anyone considering lawn care. Also - the lawn already looks as good as it ever has. First application did not kill all of the weeds but made good progress.

I am looking forward to seeing how the yard looks at the end of year. I know how it looks now. It was resodded 3 years ago and it needs some attention that I have not been providing enough of. The basics of the current lawn are good, but need improving. So lets see how this looks after a year.

This is the third season that Top Choice is doing our fertilization and weed control. They use phosphorous-free fertilizer and do spot treatments for weeds. Whatever they use works! We have no weeds and a nice green yard. The only minor issue I have had with them is that one time the guy who did the application apparently did not apply weed control because there were several weeds in our backyard last June or July. I called the office and they promptly fixed the problem for no additional charge.

They seemed very good and very dependable. We chose them because they were highly ranked on Angie’s List and I get a discount because I got them off of Angie’s List.

Once I submited an email to request a quote, they were at my house the next day to measure the lawn size. Their prices were very competitive and the customer service was great. The woman I talked to was patient and through with all my questions. That's what sold me on going with them - and the great reviews on Angie's List - instead of another.

They are excellent at what they do, punctual and we have been very happy with their service.

They give me timely service. It has turned out better, but it will take time for the results. So far their customer service has turned out really well.

Overall, it was a fine experience. I have used them several times in the past. Their communication is a little lacking at times.

Evreything was performed as we expected.
