Top Choice Lawn Care

The experience was great. They were willing to answer questions and offer suggestions and no sales pressure. An Angie's List discount was offered as well. I informed them about my in-ground sprinkler system in advance and planned to flag everything myself. They came and did the aeration without calling first, but there was no damage to any of the sprinklers, so I think they took care to locate and avoid them.

I don't have any interaction other than paying the bill. I never see them, they just show up and take care of it. I like them because they don't try to up-sell like other company's. They don't bug me to buy shrubbery maintenance or tree cutting.

They did a good job and were prompt. The only thing was wrong, is when I received the bill, the price was $46.00. I contacted them and they stated it would have been $36.00 if I signed the contract, but still honored the $36.00 price since I wasn't told that.

The creeping charlie, which was taking over the lawn, was almost completely gone after two treatments. It is looking good already.

We like them because our lawn looks great. This is the third year that we have used and the lawn has improved dramatically. The company is very easy to work with.

I purchased four weed treatments - all 6 weeks apart. The first treatment was done in late May and I have seen (3 weeks later) a significantly less weeds in my lawn. When I called for my estimate the woman on the phone was very friendly and they came out the next day for the estimate. I am happy with this company.

They did the work while I was at work and left a notice that they had been there. They did the work and I was very pleased with the overall result and the responsiveness. They did what they said they would do and did it in a timely fashion.

Great! I don't know what they put on the grass, but it grows like gangbusters. Our yard was overrun by the neighbor's creeping Charlie and who-knows-what else. Within one treatment, the weeds were almost gone. After the final treatment, we feel like we're in a good spot to have a great lawn come up next spring. They were always very prompt about letting us know when they were coming out and showing up on-time. The instructions they left after each treatment were clear and helpful. We would have also hired them to aerate the lawn this fall, but my husband was laid off and money is a little tight. Will definitely hire for next season and recommend them to everyone looking for a professional lawn service company.

They have been really timely. They come out 5 times a year. We have used them for the last couple years and we are pleased.

They quickly came out to give an estimate and then came to do the work shortly after we accepted their bid. They were very honest about what they could do in our yard and told us the things that would have to wait until Spring. The invoice that they left at the door after doing the work was higher than their estimate, but they quickly corrected that when we called about the difference. At this time we can't say if the weed treatment was effective, time will tell.

The people at Top Choice are Top Notch. Very professional and informative. I mentioned to Tom that we had a dog and I was concerned about the lawn treatment and him running on the lawn too soon after treatment. The day before each treatment Tom would call me and let me know when they would be treating the lawn so I could gage when to let him out. Now about the lawn itself. My lawn was a mess. Since the first treatment we started to see improvement and by the send of the season our lawn looks great. Even the people who mow the lawn say they didn't think anyone could bring back this lawn and we shouldn't let go of Top Choice and we aren't.

In general, they did a good job. They were on time and the quality of our yard is good. There were minor burns in my lawn, but the rest looked good. Price is per application.

I requested an estimate based on their reviews on Angie's list. We received an estimate within several days, and the price seemed reasonable, though we didn't shop around much. I called to hire them and the woman on the phone was VERY rude to me. She said they could treat our lawn sometime before the end of about 3-4 weeks which was not soon enough for me (the weeds were already taking over.) She rudely told me she'd call back and let me know if they could come within 2 weeks, which they did. She asked me if I would like advance notice of when they would come, which I asked her to do. Never have they done this. The weed control is marginal at best. But worst of all, there are brown patches all over the yard - presumably chemical burns but they deny it. We called to complain about the brown spots and the weeds, and they came right out within a couple days for a free service call, which we appreciated, but the result is MORE brown spots in the yard. Our lawn has never looked worse!

Price is for the season. They arrived on time. Everything looks fine, but not much time has lapsed so we will wait and see.

Very good response from the company. Good telephone service. Very quick turnaround. They came out right away for the estimate, left a low-pressure sales pack, then came out the next day after I called to ask for the service. After three weeks, the lawn is looking better already. Weeds died, lawn is thickening. Cost is $155 for the whole year's set of treatments.

They came to quote the day after I called. They give a discount for prepaying the season, and also applied the coupon that was left with the quote. They have always been prompt, the lawn looks good and the weeds are under control.

There were some problems getting the technician to give me advanced warning as to what day he would come to treat the lawn. I wanted to talk with him, and make sure the lawn was cleared. However, this got better over the course of the summer. The person I talked to on the phone was very helpful. The treatments were effective--especially in getting rid of creeping Charlie. I appreciated the fact that the technician told me that aeration was not necessary for my lawn, since the soil was not very compacted. However, I think the service is somewhat overpriced, and I will shop around more next spring (I got a late start this year).

The lawn looks great, we are very happy with Top Choice. They are nice to talk to on the phone as well.

The lawn looked great after one application and the weeds that were getting out of control were all killed. They were to come back to do a treatment in September, but they never did show up. I also forgot to call them and ask where they were until it was too late and we had the first freeze last week.
