Through out the process I had to contact them for an update. It took almost a year for the install to happen. We didn't sign an agreement until months into the process. We should have taken it as a sign. Polar subcontracts their window jobs to Gemstone who subcontracts to another company. The communication sucks between the three. Our stain sample was lost and we had to tear a piece of our trim off the wall In order to get a sample. Then when the windows were installed the color did not match. Don from Gemstone told me it would not be an issue getting it fixed after they were installed. Another company was subcontracted to only come out and tell me it wouldn't look as good. Then they reported to Gemstone to color was close enough to a match. Gemstone then offered to pay half of the $1,700 estimate given to fix the mistake. Then Polar tried to charge us for the full amount of our insurance claim even for items they didn't repair. If you're looking for a company to install windows I would suggest finding one that doesn't subcontract out the entire job or if they do, find one with better communication. I gave the price a D because the value that was on our permit request was only 5,300.00 for a job they charged a heck of a lot more for. Our neighbors used Polar for their roof and windows and I can say they were never given an a permit to have the work inspected like we did.

The representative for Polar Builders was highly professional and knowledgeable regarding the repairs that needed to be done to my home after a storm. He made the process of working with insurance companies so simple. He was highly punctual and organized. He met with me and the insurance adjuster and was effective for me, the homeowner. Polar Builders delivered on all of their timelines and promises. The completed every job in a professional manner. They were meticulous in the clean up. I am a busy professional and I felt that I was in good hands with Polar Builders. I did not need to get involved in all the details regarding the jobs. The representative for Polar Builder made great product recommendations and I am extremely satisfied with how each project turned out.

Rarely do I take the time to review and comment about a company I've used, but I just had to let it be known Polar Builders exceeded every expectation I had throughout my entire project! I had a pipe burst in February 2014 causing substantial damage to my home; what a total nightmare! I had absolutely no idea where to begin. A neighbor gave me the name of Polar Builders, a company they had used and were happy with. I called and spoke with a representative at Polar, and about three hours later Polar was at my home conducting an on-site visit and damage review. From that point on, my worries honestly were over. Plain and simple, from my initial call to final invoicing, Polar Builders took over, providing assistance with my insurance company, and coordinating with various crafts men and women. Their meticulous attention to detail and the fact that they kept me informed throughout the entire process, I was thrilled! Polar Builders did a great job on our roof, windows and gutters and I would recommend them to anyone especially family and friends.
