The dining room table, which they suggested I have done in a satin finish to avoid future problems, turned out just beautiful. I was moving, so they happily stored the table until I was in my new house to deliver it. My dining room looks fantastic! The bed turned out great, too. They were pretty miraculous in the way they were able to turn a massive headboard, that went from the floor to the canopy top, into a more manageable and traditional headboard. The footboard was great, too. You would never know this bed had ever been any other style than what it is now. This totally saved me money and hassle, as I didn't have to dispose of the old bed and buy a brand new one to get the look I wanted. They were very professional in suggesting alternative ways of doing the bed. They also were right on time and right on price!

Overall frustrating as my husband and I took in several home projects and prices were outrageous. As noted above, I was able to get the fabric of my choice/same company for much less. Their choice of fabrics was quite good and extensive when I looked at sample fabrics.

They had a good selection of fabrics and the workmanship was great. They're now a year and a half old and are holding their shape.

It was excellent. They were very friendly and professional.

I had a good experience with them. The head board was cracked, and they did a very good job of repairing it.

After a couple weeks, upon completion of the sanding, we were called out to select stain color. Their staff made recommendations based upon the wood, etc. Just a couple weeks later they were ready to deliver the final pieces. They are FANTASTIC - absolutely beautiful. Although the price was higher than we hoped or thought it would be - it goes with the quality of the completed work. they look and feel GREAT!!!

I suspected one thing was wrong with our sagging chair. When I dropped off at Ackerman's the person who looked at it immediately determined that the problem was something else. Left chair with repair time estimated at 1-2 weeks. After 19 days I had heard nothing about completion, so I called Ackerman's and they said chair repair had just been completed. I picked up chair that day and it had been expertly repaired.

They got the job done and the items back to me quickly and efficiently. They were nice and professional people to deal with. They have a convenient location to where I live.

Called to see if they do this kind of work. They did. Took the chairs to their location where they showed where reglue necessary and gave an estimate of $140 per chair. Chairs were left. They called in 3 days that chairs were done as promised. Excellent work!

Pam at Ackerman's answered my call for an estimate and scheduled an in-home estimate at a time convenient for me. Two Ackerman's staffers arrived exactly as scheduled, and answered all my questions helpfully and professionally. I had previously obtained two estimates from other re-finishers, and was able to send the chair and desk to Ackerman's with the estimators. I was not in a rush to have the work completed, but I did want the pieces returned by the date of a family celebration. Pam kept me informed of progress on the pieces, scheduled a visit by my husband and me to the shop in Burnsville to select finishes and fabric, advised us in our choices, and scheduled return of the pieces by the date I had requested. We were delighted with the finished work! We later requested a repair estimate for our dining table. The same Ackerman's staffers arrived as promptly as on the first visit. They assessed the problems and were able to make the necessary repairs then and there.

This company is very helpful from the first phone call on. It is a very positive, high energy company. They treat their customers with the utmost respect and kindness. They gave an original estimate, with half to be paid down, and they were willing to allow me to take the fabric samples home without even having to sign them out - very trusting. They have been available whenever I have called or stopped in - very accommodating. The workmanship is excellent, and the shop is clean and well managed. I will recommend it to everyone who is looking for this type of service, workmanship and quality.

BEAUTIFUL WORK DONE ON TIME WITH LOTS OF OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR INPUT AND CONSULTATION. WE VISITED THE SHOP TO SEE THE SET STRIPPED AND PICK OUT THE FINISH. THEN VISITED TO DECIDE IF DARKER FINISH DESIRED. PEOPLE VERY PLEASANT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. EVEN DID REPAIRS WE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT. SET GOOD AS NEW!
