Description of Work: I honestly don't remember when I had this service done or how much it cost. I did want to comment that some of the product that was installed came off entirely and was really poorly done. I tried to contact them when I realized their work was not holding, and I did not hear back.

Description of Work: Angie's List sent me an email offer for $150 weatherstripping. The email made it sound like my entire house could get weatherstripped for this price. I figured there was a "catch" but paid the money because I had 2 doors that were in serious need of weatherstripping. After paying the $$ I was given the contact info for this company. I spoke with the owner, George Fitzenberger, who apologized for the poorly stated email from Angies List and told me the on-line Angie's list offer had been clarified to state that $150 would get you approx. 30 ft. of weatherstripping on any combination of doors and windows. He also said I could request a refund if this was not acceptable. I thought about it and called him back and asked to schedule an appt. to have the 2 doors weatherstripped. We agreed on a date and time, George and his team arrived right on time. There were very professional and friendly. Two guys began investigating the doors immediately, George and I went upstairs and chatted. He again explained what I would get for the money and wanted to make certain I would be pleased when they were complete. I signed a standard authorization form, he provided his card and asked me to contact him if I had questions or concerns. The 2 workers completed the job in about 35 min. They asked me to inspect what they had done and I noticed an immediate improvement - you could no longer see daylight around the front door. Also both doors closed tightly - you could hear a seal being made. They also told me they had some extra time if I wanted anything additional weatherstripped - which I didn't. Before they left they also repaired a siding cap that had been bent upwards by re-shaping it and nailing it down. The following morning George called to inquire about my experience and to make certain I was satisfied.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List big deal. I called the day I purschased the deal and left a message to call me back to discuss available dates. I waited another 48 hours to call back and left another message. Still have not heard back yet. I even contacted Angie's list to make them aware of this and they sent the vendor an e-mail. Despite all of this never received a call which is what I expect and of course realizing they are busy but a call is less than one minute. Will never use this company again and now leery of buying any "Big Deal" on the list.

Description of Work: I called four companies from Angie's List and used one. George will probably write a little response to my report. If one meshed with him, you'd probably like him. I felt, like some other customers (based on their reports), that he was pushing what was easiest for them (and cost more), like completely taking off the wood beneath the current siding -- so the job would go faster and easier (for the workers). He'll probably say it was better to do that, but no one else suggested it. While he answered questions, I felt his answers were to steer me in the way he wanted, not necessarily what I wanted. I think he could've followed up better.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE BEAUTIFUL WINDOWS. NICE INSTALLATION, BUT SLOPPY CAULKING JOB. SOMEWHAT LACKING ON TIME SCHEDULES. THE OWNER IS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT AND CHECK THE WORK, AND HE HASN'T BEEN OUT. THE INSTALLER WAS VERY METICULOUS, JUST OUTSTANDING.

+ -1 moreMY PROBLEM WAS WITH THE SERVICE. WE WERE TOLD THE JOB WOULD TAKE ONE WEEK AND TO REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM THE WALLS. THEIR EQUIPMENT WAS SITTING ON OUR LAWN AND IN OUR DRIVEWAY FOR 2 WEEKS. THE FIRST DAY THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP AT ALL, AND THE NEXT DAY THEY CAME BUT LEFT EARLY BECAUSE THEY WERE TIRED. THEY WORKED THE NEXT DAY AND TOLD US THEY WOULD BE BACK ON SATURDAY OR MONDAY, BUT NEVER SHOWED UP UNTIL TUESDAY. WE KEPT ASKING THEM TO WORK ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE HOUSE, BECAUSE WE WANTED TO PUT EVERYTHING BACK BUT THEY DID THAT AREA LAST. THE OWNER DID NOT INSPECT THE JOB. THEY HAD THE SEAMS BACKWARDS, BUT CHANGED THEM AFTER WE MENTIONED IT. THEY CUT THE CABLE WIRES TO OUR HOUSE. THEY MOVED A DOOR BELL AND LEFT A BIG HOLE. EVENTUALLY, EVERYTHING WAS FIXED TO OUR SATISFACTION, BUT THE TOTAL LAPSED TIME WAS ONE MONTH.
Description of Work: THEY REMOVED SHAKE SIDING AND INSTALLED VINYL SIDING, WRAPPED 2 GARAGE DOORS, 4 ENTRY DOORS AND 3 WINDOWS.

HE DID HAVE TO REPLACE TWO OF HIS WORKERS, BUT THE REPLACEMENTS WERE VERY QUALIFIED. WE WERE ALLOWED TO TAKE OUR TIME IN DECIDING ON THE PRODUCT WE WANTED. IT WAS A NON-AGGRESSIVE AND EDUCATIONAL SALES APPOINTMENT AND WE WERE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND PATIENCE. THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS WAS ALSO OUTSTANDING.
