The work went fine. It was done two years ago. This summer, in a storm, one of the soffit panels blew off and was hanging there. We tacked it up and called Exterior Enhancements to have it replaced properly. I got a call back about four days later after leaving a message on an answering machine. 2 months have passed. The soffit is still tacked up, there has been no further contact other than me leaving more messages. There is no email address. No one ever answers the phone. Pity, because I need a new sliding glass door and some deck work done. Will be looking for another firm.

Roof replaced 3 years ago. One of the roof vents wasn't nailed down, while the others had not been sealed, causing water leakage over time. Found that the vent had never been caulked. EE came out to fix the ceiling but never reimbursed owner for the caulking like they had agreed to, leaving the owner to unfairly pay the bill for the work of another contractor who came to correct EE's problem.

We used an Angie's List coupon to try to weatherproof some storm doors and our mail slot. The representatives were very prompt and professional. Unfortunately, the services were ineffective. The weatherproofing came off the mail slot within days. It lasted slightly longer on the doors, but it was not effective. Following this experience, I decided not to use any providers who offered discounts or coupons. I would not have provided this review but for the fact that the prompt comes up every time I open Angie's List and it's very tiresome to continue to see the prompt.

They did a wonderful job. They were punctual & worked very hard each day. The installers were extremely courteous & completed a repair job that was very difficult. The salesman was professional & very nice to deal with. I would definitely use them again & am very happy to recommend this company.

Initial work was fine. Weather Stripping started to peel off after only 2 months. Seals were just OK, not a great blocker of cold air and wind.

I had a good presale experience and then things slowly unraveled last fall until this spring they were barely even returning my calls to complete the little bit of work that was left. Work started last fall with a few windows that were either shipped or ordered wrong, but EE was quick to resolve that. The winter came earlier than expected so work definitely slowed and communication started to lack. All the major work was completed last fall, but because of the cold and snow cover they were not able to do the touchup painting or clean up around the house. I mistakenly took them at their word to come back in the spring to actually complete the work that I paid them for. They were going to contact me in April, but I had to reach out first. They did show up to get ladders that were burried by snow, but no action on the finish painting or cleaning up of nails and aluminum pieces around my home. I was contacting them about every other week and maybe 1/3 of the time I got a response. They are either very poor communicators or just don't care about completing work as promised since they already had my money. The painting was finally completed last week, but I'd be shocked if they come back to mitigate the chance of my kids stepping on a nail or piece of aluminum.

It went very well, which we expected since they had previously provided us with siding, gutters and windows, both projects having gone smoothly, professionally and with excellent results. The team excavated the area in the backyard for the patio. They were careful to do minimal damage to the rest of the yard, even laying down plywood sheets as a path for the Bobcat to travel, thus protecting the lawn. They showed up on time for the day selected (we had to reschedule several times because of weather), worked diligently all day and cleaned up after themselves. After the cement was poured, cured and the forms removed, they replaced the excavated dirt, raking to provide a good grade for drainage, as we had requested. This project required relocating one downspout from the gutters, which was done properly. It also required providing a PVC pipe underneath the patio to run the cable and telephone lines from the utility box at our property edge. This was done well, with the end of the pipe where cables go into the house being properly sealed so no water would get in it. We also had to relocate some of the piping and heads for our sprinkler system, which Exterior Enhancements. The excavation revealed that the company that had put in our sprinkler system had failed to provide a box to house the electrical wires that ran the system. Dave provided us with that box, installing it and making sure the sprinkler system ran properly, with no leaks. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the job. The only reason I graded B for responsiveness and punctuality is that, as I have found with many contractors, phone calls were not always returned within a day and finalizing some of the work (i.e., with the sprinkler system) was a day or so later than expected. However, I realize that most contractors have many jobs they are trying to coordinate at the same time and can not always show up exactly at the time they predict.

They showed up on time both days needed to complete the job. Our windows were in terrible condition, but the workers took care of all the rot accumulated over 40+ years. The owner was very responsive to our questions and offered a great product to us. My wife and would recommend them from start to finish.

George was prompt about his initial appointment and proudly sold his product. Due to excessive rain, the installation was a bit delayed. David, the installer arrived as scheduled; however, he was alone. We were told the job would take one day, but because he didn't have an "assistant", it took two days. After the install, I contacted George about the condition of the trim on three of the windows which was scratched and needed repair. Although George assured me that the damage was not caused by the installation, he said he would have David call me and take care of the situation. That never happened. I sent George an email, left a phone message for him and for David (over a three week period) and never received a response from either. It shocks me that a business would want their name associated with something that looks this unfinished.

Dave, (the owner) is a friend of the family, and now our friend!!! What a pleasant, friendly and totally trustworthy guy! He addressed our issues in a timely manner. Was competent, extremely tidy and reasonable, in fact I feel that we got really lucky finding a contractor who does what they say they will do. He got on with his work quietly and professionally. Looking forward to working with his company in the future, and have already recommended him to a few neighbors who have projects for the summer.

It went really well. We actually hired them to add some insulation in the attic. I was very impressed with the guy that came out to do the work.

One thing about any remodeling job is that it takes longer than originally estimated. That's not the fault of the company doing the remodeling - weather, material delays, and all the rest of those darn variables just affect things. George and Dave and company of Exterior Enhancements did a great job under challenging cercumstances at installing the Norandex siding on our house. They kept us apprised of changes to the work schedule and any issues that arose. When it came to a time crunch, they pushed through and met our deadline. All in all, we are very happy with their services. I would highly recommend anyone considering siding or any other type of home remodeling to talk to George.

Owner came out and gave me a bid. He was on time. Gave me a date for doing the services. He and crew where on time actually early. Very clean, professional company.

Exterior Enhancements was very flexible about the start date; we had scheduled some chimney repair that needed to be done. They worked with us, even though there were delays due to weather. The roofing crew showed up as scheduled, and they were all such nice, hard working people, even though it happened to be the hottest week in July. They never slowed down, and they picked up and left everything very neat before leaving the work site. The building inspector came by and gave two thumbs up on the work and the materials being used on the job. The siding crew came as scheduled. Again, the nicest group of people -- just a great crew. They removed all the old siding and worked non-stop until the job was completed. We are delighted with the new siding! The installation was done all within the guidelines of James Hardie Company, and it's a specialized skill. They were outstanding. The gutter crew came, and even though they experienced some unexpected challenges, they worked with Dave and got the new gutters installed perfectly. Another great crew of really nice people. We would not hesitate to recommend Exterior Enhancements to anyone! Dave and George were great: they kept the line of communication open with us from beginning to end. A top-drawer company, with reasonable prices.

They were great. We had four estimates and it was a hard decision because I would have dealt with all of them. They were all close and great people. I hated to even to say no to them but I had to make a decision. We were happy with them. They were professional. They were good on punctuality.

I think that they did a great job and the work was excellent. He worked very hard and made as many adjustments as necessary so that the door could fit. I felt very comfortable having him come out and do the work.

I contacted George with Exterior Enhancements and set up an appointment for him to come out for an estimate. George was very easy to talk to and I never got the impression that he wanted me to spend more money for something that wasn't worth it. I had two other bids done and George was lower. I never had to nor felt the need to haggle with the bid price. I had the work completed and can only say one thing... I am happy!!! Excellent work!!!

The crew came on time, they were neat and tidy. There were a couple problems but they fixed them right away.

Like another reviewer, I also purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for $149 for winterization of up to 25 windows and 3 doors. I don't have a big house and went into this knowing I wouldn't need to use the entire offer. I emailed the company and George called me about a week later to set up the appointment. When we spoke on the phone, George let me know that there was an error when Angie's List originally posted the offer and that the winterization of so many doors and windows would be valued at a much higher price and take quite some time. I agreed to the other terms he offered, bearing in mind that I was really most concerned with our front door which was in major need of winterization and a drafty window. (George had come out previously to give us a quote on replacing the front door. We can't afford it at this time, and I felt $149 was worth it if I didn't need to caulk our front door shut for the second winter in a row. It's the only sure way to keep out the drafts.) The Exterior Enhancements employee who arrived to do the work was very friendly and open with his advice for winterizing my home. He examined the window of concern -- and finding no obvious reasons for a draft, took a look outside to be sure there was the appropriate insulation. He showed me what I could do to insulate it even better, and where to caulk the windows on the outside of the house. He also added a small strip of weatherstripping along the bottom of the window indoors, since he was unable to completely identify the source of the draft. He also added a few layers of weatherstripping around our front door, which he showed me is quite askew and does in fact need replacing. He demonstrated the improved seal on the door, which did appear tighter. He took some photos of another window which has always been cloudy and said he'd talk it over with the window expert they have on staff to let me know what might need to be done to fix it. (I never received follow-up information about this.) Overall, the technician was kind and helpful, and even offered to look in the attic to see about the insulation there. (This was impossible as attic access is very difficult in my home.) I waited until the weather turned colder to write up this review because I wanted to be sure the measures the company took did help. Unfortunately, they did not. The window and front door are still drafty. I had hoped the $149 deal would actually go further. Instead of the technician advising me about what I needed to do to make the house tighter, I had assumed the work would be done for me through the purchase of the deal. In retrospect, I wish I had saved the $149 and put it toward the new front door installation. As it is, I need to caulk my front door shut again this winter and cope with a drafty window until it is warm enough -- and I can find the opportunity -- to cram in more insulation and caulk around my windows this spring. Despite my frustrations with this particular issue in my home, I do enjoy working with Exterior Enhancements. George and his staff are very kind and patient. I hope they offer an Angie's List Big Deal on front door replacement sometime this year.

I couldn?t be more impressed with the quality of the work done by the Exterior Enhancements crew on what was, by all measures, an extraordinarily difficult job. Having been the general contractor for our house in Wayzata I have observed the work of a wide range of residential sub contractors, and this crew was the most precise and efficient I have seen. Another large, national siding company backed out of this job after we had already signed their bid because our eave has a peak more than 43 feet high and is crowded on one side by a large oak tree. As it turned out the job was made even tougher than expected by the strong winds on the two days after Christmas on which it was done. Everything (the removal of the old siding and housewrap; the cleaning out, reinsulation and repair of seven large woodpecker holes; the wrapping, siding, calking, and cleanup) was done carefully, skillfully and without shortcuts.

It went very well. We were very satisfied.
