Roofs R US

The estimator was great. He actually got up on the roof to look around and quoted a price that was about what I expected the job to cost. We apparently did have some miscommunication about whether the flashing around a skylight would be replaced. The two roofers who came did not intend to install a new ridge vent or flashing around the skylight. English was not their first language but with the phone help of the estimator we got the ridge vent replacement straightened out. Apparently new flashing was not included in the job because the existing flashing was fine. After the roofers left, I looked at the work. It was bad. The roofers evidently started in the middle of the roof and worked toward both ends so that there were narrow "fingers" of shingles left at the edges of both ends of the roof and the edges were very uneven and ragged looking. In addition, at some point the roofers began mis-aligning the shingles resulting in one end of the roof appearing to be at an angle rather than square. I complained about the poor quality work and the company was responsive, agreeing to make things right. One of the roofers was to come back late morning on a Saturday for the remedial work. I waited around that day and received a call late in the afternoon from the roofer saying he would come in about half an hour. It would be dark before he could finish the remedial work so we agreed to reschedule. He came the next week and fixed things but this modest roofing project turned out to be an aggravation for me.

Pretty good. Mike got up on the roof, measured, and came up with a bid that was close to the estimate form State Farm. The weather was cooperative and the work got done even though it was late Fall. The crew worked independently. The new roof and gutters look great!

Work was delayed for a bit due to the weather. Contacts were provided if any questions and they also stopped by during the day to make sure there were no problems or questions.

Roof R Us did an excellent job replacing my roof. We discussed options, costs, warranty, and timing of the project. The roof looks great, excellent service, and quality of workmanship. I would highly recommend them.

We were so pleased, from the initial, prompt contact by Matt, to billing and cleanup. Part of the claim was covered by insurance and the company handled all the work with American Family. The whole project took two weeks from start to finish and the house looks fantastic. It's like the good fairies were here!

It went very well. We had some rain coming and they came right out to start the work. Between the rains, they even came out on a Saturday to finish it. They did a great job at doing the repair and cleaning up everything. We didn't even know there were here!

Went well but a real misunderstanding on price.

Overall an excellent experience, I paid for my roof replacement out of pocket and the Estimator Mike Eastman was very accommodating in helping me find the best bang for buck and stay within my budget. There was a minor snafu with the scheduling but they worked very hard to make it work for me. This whole industry seems very shady which is unfortunate and I got that feeling of sleazy "I'm going to take your money and run" feeling from all the other contractors except with Mike at Roofs R Us, which was honestly the #1 reason I chose this company. I will recommend Roofs R Us to whoever asks me about roofing.

Our sales rep Mike E. redeemed our experience. There were some issues with the installation of the roof, but overall they did what we hired them to do which was install a new roof and balance the gutters. The end result was good, and again I need to give credit to Mike for his large part in making it right.

He showed up and was unable to do the Tune-up or any work due to lack of equipment/tall enough ladder.

Mike is professional. The price is good. The service is good. Nothing to complain.

First, the salesman, Mike, showed me a complete video of what they were going to do and the products they were going to use before I committed to the project. I named the date I wanted the roof replaced which was honored. I was told they would arrive at 10:00 a.m. after finishing another job. They were on time and completed my whole roof tear off and replacement by 5:30 p.m. They were professional, hard working and everything was cleaned up by the time they left. I would highly recommend them.

The whole experience with Roofs-R-Us went very well, starting with the estimate, given by Mike E. Mike explained things in a way I could understand them. He was very low-key, no pressure at all; unlike salespeople from some other companies. Roofs-R-Us turned out to be the lowest of the 3 bids I got, but I especially liked the no-pressure approach. Roofs-R-Us installed a new roof on my house and garage, on 10/10/2016, the process went well. They started at 8:00 AM, and were cleaned up and done by 4:30 PM. The dumpster arrived in my driveway about 8:30 AM, as expected, and was gone by 8:30 the following morning, as promised. Roofs-R-Us delivered what they said they would, when they said they would, with no snags, and at a fair price. I would definitely recommend Roofs-R-Us.

It was going well, at first. A gentleman came out to give me a bid. He inspected the job site thoroughly. All roof materials and structure were available for inspection. I received a bid and we came to the agreed price of $7,000 for the job if I (the owner) provided the shingles, underlayment, and ice+water barrier. The day of the installation came, and the company came out to perform the work. I don't believe they were on time. The sales rep/estimator who came out initially came out to meet me and sign the contract. I signed the contract and gave them a $1,000 check for the downpayment. I left the job site to do other work. I was called back (or maybe texted) by the owner of the company who had come out to the job site and said the roof would have to be redecked. This was contrary to all my previous roofing experiences and not explained to me prior. Nor was it mentioned at all by the sales person or on the contract. I contacted the city and while there's no specific code that requires the roof to be redecked, code is to follow the shingle manufacturer guidelines. Anyway, we could have probably not done the redecking and completed the job and it would have been fine (passed by the city). The company walked off the job and refused to do it. The owner blamed his salesperson and estimator for screwing up the bid. I offered to negotiate and somehow meet in the middle, where he would still be making money on the project but honoring his word/contract. The company flat-out refused to negotiate or find a solution. They jacked up the price nearly 3.5x from their initial (agreed) bid, and now instead of a $1,000 downpayment, they wanted $11,000 to start. Their "revised" bid was now $9,000 higher than the highest one I had gotten from others. It seemed like a total bait-and-switch to me. They waited the day work was to start, after making me wait for a few weeks in the first place, then jacked up the price. It wasn't that so much as the total lack of responsibility or accountability from the owner to try to reach a compromise. He wasn't interested in fixing the situation or making sure I had a good experience after his company apparently screwed up. I would not hire this company as I can't trust anything about them.

Great. We can not say enough good things about our experience with Roofs R Us. They are truly professional in ever way.

In one day's time, the dumpster arrived, the old roof was removed, the new roof was installed and the yard was cleaned up. They ran a magnet to pick up nails. My wife's flowers were all protected. Now, we have a 50 yr warranty backed up by the company and the maker of the shingles. I would pick them again & I recommend them to others.

I highly recommend these guys. Did more than what was expected for half the price of anyone else. Honest hard working people who do the job right.

Very well! They were prompt and fixed anything that needed special treatment. They even reroofed a small shed. The workers were very polite and respectful. The job was completed in a day. The shingles look great!

I've worked with Mike Eastman twice now. First on a little rental property I have & this time on my own house. Moises was in charge of the crew that did the tear off & re-roof of my house & garage. All the permits & instructions were sent out in advance. The guys were in & out in one day & the area was cleaned up pretty well. Moises came back to check on anything that may have been missed & pick up around where the dumpster had been. The service was great, the communication was timely. I'll definitely call again when I need them.

I did not expect so many non English speaking workers which made me a little concerned but maybe they were all legal. I didn't question it at the time, I needed a roof. I would ell a friend to be prepared for 20 plus workers. One house was just over 8000, the other was over 9000. One house was done a day after the other. We went with some higher end stuff. I have no complaints with the work.

The entire process went smoothly and painlessly. Reed arrived on time for the initial meeting and put together estimates for the roof replacement and gutters. There was no high sales pitch or pressure which I truly appreciated. After the decision was made to go ahead with the job, I was added to the schedule right away and the job was completed a week later. It was fast and efficient and when the final bill arrived, it was exactly what was estimated with no surprises. That was a huge relief.
