We felt quite comfortable with Matt during the bidding process; he appeared to have the experience and willingness to do a great job and provided the cheapest bid. Matt said that he expected that his crew would complete the work in a single day but did not guarantee it. We had been thinking that we had missed the opportunity to get our installation completed before Winter, but Matt seemed comfortable with completing it unless the weather happened to get too cold or snowy. This raised the question of delays due to weather; Matt explained his policy that, in the event of inclement weather on the day of our installation, we would be bumped to be rescheduled on the next available day - this is to allow everyone on the schedule to rely upon their scheduled date unless the bad weather happens on their own day. Matt further explained that the dumpster would arrive at 6 AM on the day of the installation (so we would need to have our cars out of the garage) and that there was no need for further communication until then. Our day came with good weather and the dumpster arrived on schedule, but the foreman arrived late in the morning and was surprised to discover that the crew had not yet arrived; he called and learned that they had needed to finish up some work an a previous job. When they did arrive, they worked diligently but were unable to complete their work because of their late start; they completed their work the next day. It snowed before the city could inspect the roof, so we have yet to have the city inspect the work. Clean-up was quite thorough (as promised) - I only found one scrap of shingle from the old roof and less than ten nails in the yard. There was one detail that Matt agreed to (regarding documentation of the condition of the old roof) that he did not write into the contract and did not remember, but, when we discussed it afterward, he agreed to honor it as if it had been part of the contract; although this took a few weeks to resolve, in the end he put our need ahead of his own, which is very professional. Lesson learned: Always be sure that all details discussed are documented in your contract, regardless of who your contractor is. I am giving Roofs-R-Us a B for professionalism and punctuality only because of their not communicating that the job would start late and because of the time we spent resolving the detail missing from the contract; in both cases, Roofs-R-Us worked hard to address these issues to our satisfaction, which considerably reduced the stress involved. Otherwise, the experience was quite satisfactory, as our overall rating indicates.

We contacted them in Mid-October, they came out to quote it promptly. We scheduled the work once, then they had to move the date back because of their availability. After that, we were stuck waiting for good weather before we could schedule them. Twice, I saw good weather in the forecast, called them and didn't get calls back until the day of the good weather. We thought we would be stuck with this issue through the winter. Luckily, we had a good weather day towards the beginning of December and they were able to mobilize and get the job done. I'm happy with the repair, but it was stressful being at the mercy of their call back and the weather trying to get the work scheduled. Because this job was only a four hour repair job for one crew, I got the impression that we fell to the bottom of the scheduling priority list. If we would have been getting a brand new roof, I don't think we would have experienced these scheduling issues. Again, the quality of their work is good, and I wouldn't be too worried about this happening to you if you're getting a new roof. But, if you're looking for a repair or have a specialized request that requires more communication, I'd recommend you use some caution before hiring this contractor.

Roofs R US was very prompt and professional in inspecting and bidding the job. They were responsive and punctual. The owner was honest with what needed to be repaired and did not try to sell anything that was not needed or wanted. Afterwards they did not have a hard sell. I actually had them bid two jobs and the experience was the same for both. The company was competitive with both jobs. At this time I am only replacing one roof, but will definitely consider them for the next one. The company started and completed the job in a very fast timeframe. They were very efficient and cleaned up after their work. They were also very communicative with their scheduling and notices as to when they would be working. As for the roof, it looks very nice. It was just installed, but I am assuming the quality and craftsmanship will be good as they have a 10 year warranty on their work. At this time I would very much recommend Roofs R Us. At the least I would recommend getting a quote.

Matt came and provided an estimate, as scheduled. His price was lower than four others who also bid the job, and he seemed very professional. The project went like clockwork. The shingles and other material showed up early in the morning, as did the dumpster. Then the crew arrived. The foreman introduced himself, they laid down tarps, and went to work. The project was finished before dark, including the cleanup. The next day I checked the yard and found it spotless except for a couple small pieces of tar paper. I also climbed up on the roof and checked it over, and everything looked good to me. I was really pleased with the project, and the roof looks great. In January an issue developed. I called Matt and he came out right away with a crew and fixed it. Great customer service!

I had an appointment set up for 10:00am to have them look at a potential leak in our skylight. After waiting about 15 minuets, I called the company to see if they were running late. I spoke to the scheduling department and let them know I had an appointment at 10, but they still weren't there. She said she would have the contractor call me. I waited until 11:00 for a call, but no one showed up or called. I called back to let them know I was canceling and would not be using them in the future. I would have understood if they were running late or needed to cancel for some reason and had called to let me know, but I didn't get any kind of response or explanation. For this reason, they get an F. You shouldn't trust a business that doesn't have the business sense to contact their clients and explain why they didn't show up for an appointment.

There are not many details to report. All we did was pick out a roof color. Matt and crew did all the rest. They were punctual, speedy and cleaned up everything when finished. The price was fair, the roof is beautiful. So far it is holding up well. This was a very pleasant experience. Would absolutely hire this company again.

The project went very well. They worked within the confines of the insurance estimate and were able to complete the job for the amount the insurance company said it would cost. They did a thorough job of cleaning up after the work was done. They also took care of the permitting process with the City of St. Louis Park, MN, including providing pictures of the work. They also submitted the paperwork so I could receive my check from the insurance company for the recoverable depreciation. it was mildly disappointing to learn that they do not do any painting of any kind. Perhaps this is the norm in the construction trade, but it came as a surprise to me. I will have to make separate arrangements for this work to be done. I'm not out any money because of this, it's just a minor hassle.

It went well - from start to finish the process was painless. I contacted the company before purchasing their "deal". I wanted an estimate first. Someone was to my house within a day. He came prepared! I had lots of options as to color and size. And I was given options as to where the new downspouts could be placed. On the day of installation, they were punctual and cleaned up everything. I'd definitely use this company again.

Installed a new roof over two days. Did all the cleanup. Kept the neighbors happy. I will use them in the future.

Calls to schedule were never returned so I finally gave up.

It turned out well in the end. There was an initial issue with the quality but when we called they came back out for a good result. Clean-up and scheduling were both good. Their prices were better than most.

They did a great job and scheduling was good as well. They were able to start the work two days sooner than expected. They were the only company who showed for the initial estimate as well. Their pricing was fair, especially compared to a different company we had used previously.

They did a good job with cleanup. They were right on-time and their estimate was in the middle of others we received.

We had no issues with scheduling and their timeliness and responsiveness were both excellent. The estimate was detailed and they did a good job with answering any questions I had.

Although re-roofing a house in winter isn't exactly the best time to do this, I was happy to hear Matt was able to accommodate my request in spite of the weather. Matt was good about reviewing my current situation and even going through the various options, outlining the various price points. At his first appointment, he was able to provide me a quick, but complete estimate. On the day of the actual work, Matt's roofing crew were great!!! They arrived exactly as described and in a matter of only about 7 hours, the house was roofed. This included shoveling off the early winter's snow, removing two layers of shingles, making repairs to the damaged roof decking, re-shingling the entire house, flashing around the chimney and cleaning up around the yard. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. I would definitely use his company if I needed to roof my house again.

Things went well with them. There was a little issue with cleanup but they did come back and take care of things. The dumpster arrived on-time for cleanup. Prices were competitive compared to the market. The inspection process was handled very well including taking photos.

We had a few miscommunications around the initial visit for an estimate and also the dumpster. However, Matt was very punctual and professional, his crew was good, and he was very knowledgeable and responsive in communicating before, during and after the project.

Overall, everything went well. We were super lucky and were squeezed in on the last day before the first snowfall due to a cancellation. They had an impressive team at our house to complete the job. There was a lack of communication to inform us the job wasn't able to be completed the same day due to a rain delay, but they had 3 people at our house to finish the job by 9 am on a Saturday. And, we sent an email early Sat am asking what had happened since things weren't complete which was replied to promptly (also on a Sat am).So overall - very good experience working with them.

Matt came and gave me an estimate & presentation. He was through, honest and professional. The roof was removed & replaced in one day. Very happy with the work so far.

We are very pleased with our new roof. Matt was very knowledgeable and professional during our first visit with him. He had several samples of the various types of shingles which made the choice of colors so much easier to pick. The materials, dumpster, and crew were punctual on the day we were told they would start. Everything was completed on time. The team leader called after the job was completed to follow up with any questions we had. We would recommend the Roofs R Us team and use them again in a heartbeat!
