Roofs R US

After a recent hail storm we called Roofs R Us to inspect our roof for damage. (We declined the bazillion annoying offers from other companies to do the same - we wanted to call OUT, not be called ON). Mike came out and did an inspection, including taking a smartphone video with commentary that we reviewed afterwards. He did a great job. In the end, he didn't note any roof damage. That honest assessment scored a lot of points in my book. Next time we do need roof work done, they'll be our first call.

Estimator & workers showed up as promised. Work was completed and cleaned up, except for the dozen or so roofing nails I later found in my driveway. Fortunately, no flat tires. I gave the "B" in Quality only because of the nails and because the roof has not been tested for leaks, which previously only occurred in snow conditions. If I don't update this review within a year, consider Quality grade moved to an "A" - and check for nails. Also, the estimator later told me that it is very difficult to find companies willing to do partial-roof repairs, which is what mine was. For that, I appreciate that they committed to the project.

Estimate was clear cut and reasonable. Estimate was final cost as agreed. Work was done on time with Juan working on a Saturday to keep us on schedule. All questions and concerns were addressed quickly. Very happy with the experience. Would hire again.

Matt clearly explained the estimate and what was included. The price was very competitive to the other estimates we received. We agreed to proceed and a week later it was all done and you would have never known that anyone was there except there was new shingles and gutters. We had many plants that the crew had to work around and they managed to not kill any of them. The only negative, and this is reaching but true, the project manager runs multiple crews at the same time. So he was not present when the crew started, and my Spanish is not that good so there were a few points of confusion initially as I tried to confirm a couple of details. Moses did show up about 45 minutes into the project. He was very professional and everything turned out great. I would certainly recommend them for anyone needing a new roof at a fair price.

Roofs R Us did a great job removing our old roof and replacing it. We had 5 estimates done and Matt with Roofs R Us spent a good amount of time on the roof assessing what needed to be done and making several recommendations; more so than 3 of the others. Because Matt was so thorough in his examination and explaining exactly what work would be done, materials to be included and what to expect overall; we are so happy we choose them for our project! Our roof is approx. 4,000 square feet, not a small project. The dumpster arrived by 6:30am, the crew showed up around 7am, work/cleanup done around 3pm and the dumpster was gone 6pm. We would definitely recommended Roof R Us for your next project!

Mike from RoofsRUs came by and verified that I had NO storm damage. Woo Hoo! In fact, he stated that my roof is in great shape and should last another 10 years or so. When he was on my roof he recorded his entire inspection with his smart phone, which showed the areas of interest and how he came up with his conclusion. He played it for me when he got down and was ready for all my questions. He even spent another 15 minutes advising me on things I should address that are not roof related, such as my gutters and lack of soffit vents under my garage eaves which will help with the health of my roof over my garage. overall, a great and honest experience! I even liked how he recorded his roof inspection so I didnt have to get up there, which makes his advise that much more credible. Now if I ever suspect Roof damage, I won't put it off due to anxiety of not knowing whom to call or trust, I'll just call Mike from Roofs R Us. Thanks.

Mike came out to inspect our roof for storm damage which thankfully there was none. After the inspection, he shared some information about our roof and the construction which I had been unaware of even though over the years I have had a variety of people out to look at the roof and NO company had mentioned some rather large issues regarding the roof. We evidently have a "double roof" ie a roof was put on over an existing one which is no longer an acceptable practice and Mike advised me that prior to selling we may be required to replace the roof. Not sure how other companies that came out missed that one as it is very important. The upside of the construction is that it evidently positively contributed to no damage due to hail. Mike also shared some information as to what to do with a shed that is in need of a new roof, suggested roofing material to use (as a cost saving measure and also performance) and even suggested some companies that sell it as it is not available at big box stores. When and if we do want to replace the roof, I will definitely give Roofs r Us a call. So very knowledgeable and professional

First i talked to Matt about the estimate. He was really easy to work with, explained everything well, and told me all my options.I decided on a reroof, and new gutters and gutter covers. On the we scheduled day the dumpster got here a 7:00 a.m., the crew were on the roof at 8:00 a.m.. They were done at 11:30 a.m. They worked Fast, but very thorough. The roof looks great.The next day the gutters and covers were installed in about 2 1/2 hours. Again they were fast and thorough. I was impressed with the crew, they came in did their job. They were very professional. Roofs R Us did a GREAT job. Would not hesitate to recommend them. THANK YOU.

They did the awesome job. After finishing the project manager went around the house to pick up nails and swept all the debris. Very happy about this since we have kids like to run on their bare feet

We met with Matt and discussed replacing the roof and to fix the sagging in our roof that had occurred due to winters in MN. Matt came up with a solution to add extra structural support to our roof instead of replacing the subroofing due to the cost and damage it would have done. The job was scheduled for a day, but due to our shed requiring specialty shingles, ended up lasting 2 business days. We were informed when the men left the first day that the work would be completed the following Monday. We were very satisfied with the result and the sag in our roof is no longer visible unless you are looking for it. We also moved a downspout, and the new location is much better.

The initial consultation was what sold us on using this company. Matt was very professional and courteous, provided details of the job, and took the time to listen to us. The men showed up on time and the roof was done in one day - those guys didn't waste any time!! The gutters were done by the time I arrived home the next day. My house looks great!! I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for a new roof or seamless gutters!!

Housing inspector thought it was professionally done including painting the stack to match the color.

We were planning to replace our 35 year old cedar shakes, but didn't want to spend the money on the same shakes. We were scheduled to get 3D architectural shingles when a hail storm hit that really trashed the roof. Our insurance company was kind enough to cover the cedar shakes replacement, so we changed shingles and pushed the project out another few weeks. Luckily, the roof was installed while we were out of town. When we came home, it was gorgeous! They also helped us get replacements for our vent spinners and water guards for our chimney and water heater outlets. Matt Dlouhy was great to work with and very responsive to calls and emails. He also did a great job interacting with the insurance company. Thank You, Roofs R Us, for a job well done!!

This was the first time that I had ever needed to re-roof my house and I was nervous about hiring the right company to do the work, so I called 5 different companies to get estimates. While all of the contractors proposed to install the same type of shingle (from 2 different manufacturers), there was a $5k spread in their prices. And even though I am sure that they would all have done a comparable job, I chose Roofs R Us because of Matt: His willingness to share his knowledge on roofing code and possible impact to insurance rates based on shingle classification, his professionalism and organization were outstanding. The day of the roofing went smoothly, the dumpster arrived at 7am followed immediately by the arrival of the materials and workers ? they started before 7:30am and worked through the day until finished. However, there was 1 problem that I took issue with and this is where I believe that Roofs R Us (and Matt) were outstanding and the right company to work with. Matt stopped by to take a look at the ?problem? and after a short discussion, he stood by his commitment to quality and had a crew out to my house before the end of day to correct it. In my opinion, the manner in which Matt handled my concern(s) is what separates him as a great contractor. And this is why I definitely would recommend working with Matt and Roofs R Us to anyone needing to re-roof their house.

Working with Roofs R Us was a breeze. They were professional through the whole process. Dumpster arrived at 715am and materials arrived about 730am. Roofers arrived at 750 and work started at 8am. They completed the project in one day. The following day the project manager came by to verify all work was completed to my satisfaction and that all clean up was completed. They did an excellent job. They came out early in the morning - made sure cars were moved out of garage before dropping off dumpster and shingles. They helped move planters away from house, to protect them from falling debris. They really seemed to know what they were doing, and were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend them!

I grabbed several names from Angie's list for residential roofing. I have roofing experience and this was going to be the first time I hired someone to do it. All contractors I contacted were professional and responsive and I think it would have gone well with any of them, but I liked everything about Matt. In addition to him being responsive and professional, he also seemed organized, knowledgeable and gave me the feeling I would be getting a product done right. Scheduling was easy and flexible. Matt had everything planned out and we knew what to expect. I drove by the place at 7:30 am and the dumpster was there as promised. I came back by at 7:00pm and to find a full dumpster, new roof that had everything it was supposed to, and no other evidence that they had even been there. I am pleased and would not hesitate to hire them on the next one. I have no feedback for how they can improve - all aspects went "A" rated as I have indicated.

Matt was very professional and went over all of the work that was to be done. Part of my shingles were blown off before the repair, so he covered that area while I waited for my appointment. The crew was punctual and finished on time in one day. They cleaned up thoroughly. The roof looks great! All the neighbors are commenting. :)

The dumpster came early in the morning as promised. Workers arrived on site early in the morning as promised. All material arrived as scheduled. Workers are friendly. They tore down the old roof, patch/replace the board where it was necessary. After the work was completed, they made the site clean and no significant debris left. The gutter was cleaned as well, this was a nice surprise. The dumpster was removed two days after the work was completed. Some minor debris underneath the dumpster. The price was reasonable and Matt was very nice and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

The team of roofers were AWESOME! They completed the full tear off and replacement of the roof in a single day. We live in the city and our neighbors' houses are only about 5-6 feet apart. The roofers were very careful to protect the debris from hitting our neighbors homes. Their clean-up was AMAZING! Very professional and communicative. A great experience. We would definitely recommend them to others looking for roof replacement.

Everything went smoothly. Of the various people we had give us estimates we felt the most comfortable with Matt and his quote was reasonable. They did a good job and we are enjoying our new roof.

When we decided to re-roof our house, I went to Angie?s List to find a good contractor. I saw that many businesses included roofing as part of their services but I was looking for a company that specialized only in roofs. So I contacted ?Roofs R Us? and Matthew came to my home to give me an estimate. My wife and I were immediately impressed by his professionalism and also by his use of technology during his presentation. Matthew used his iPad to create a video of our roof with comments during his inspection. We could clearly see why we needed a new roof. Matthew then described the various types of shingles he could use and explained how his company would handle the job. He gave us three different estimates based on the shingles chosen. He promised to be done in one day. He gave us the approximate time frame of each of the tasks, including the arrival and departure times of the dumpster. He told us the earliest start date on his calendar. He explained that only weather could change that date. If it rained then we would be rescheduled approximately three weeks later. We would go to the end of the line. Why? Because he didn?t want to inconvenience other customers who were expecting service on dates already promised to them. Since we have dealt with many contractors who have jacked us around regarding start and completion dates, we decided to hire ?Roofs R Us? and trust them to do a good job. And we are very pleased with the result. The job went exactly as planned. We are very pleased with our new roof and highly recommend ?Roofs R Us?. We have never had such a positive experience with a any company that has done any work on our home.

I met Matt in the Fall to get an estimate and discuss the project. He answered my questions honestly and dispelled some incorrect information I received from other potential roofers. I was so impressed with Matt's willingness to take the time to be thorough, make suggestions to ensure adequate ventilation, and I knew I was dealing with someone with integrity. As we discussed in the Fall, he called in early April to schedule the work, and the team and dumpster showed up the scheduled morning, did all the work, and everything worked like clockwork. I was so pleased with the end result and how nice the group was who did the work.

Fast, efficient, and very clean and unobtrusive work. More expensive than we thought though (but as per quote).
