The process went smoothly from start to finish. I had gotten three bids, but was immediately impressed by Matt Dloughy's thoroughness and his ability to show me the video of the issues on my roof. I liked the quality of the shingles and the color choices were perfect. The crew showed up promptly on the scheduled date and worked nonstop all day. They took care with my landscaping and the cleanup was meticulous. I never found one scrap or nail in my yard. The roof looks wonderful. Very happy customer!

From the first meeting with Matt, I was very impressed with his professionalism. We also had a time that needed to be met for insurance purposes and Matt was able to work us in to take care of that timing. His crew arrived when he said they would, worked hard and did a really nice clean up when they were done. After they left I noticed that there was some vinyl siding that did not get attached and the crew came right back out and fixed it. I would recommend this company highly and would use them again. The old roof on our 56-year-old rambler had simply come to the end of its days and needed replacement. We got bids from three local contractors (none of whom employ the storm chasers who seem to be a constant presence in our neighborhood). The proposal from Roofs R US wasn’t the lowest bid we received for a new roof, but it was the best. Matt provided us with bids for three different grades of shingle, including a Class 4 product that would qualify us for a premium discount from our insurance company. He was well informed, both as to the specific Owens Corning Class 4 shingle that would qualify for a discount, as well as the exact percentage of the discount. In fact, he knew more about the subject than my insurance agent’s assistant. I calculated that the cost of the upgrade to Class 4 would pay for itself in less than three years. Communication was good. After Matt did his initial estimate, I joined him on the roof to discuss specifics, such as the type of vents and caps he proposed to use, as well as the condition of the chimney flashing, drip edge and gutters. I had done my homework and asked a lot of questions. He answered them all and was quite willing to discuss materials and techniques. After we had accepted the proposal and scheduled the work, he called the night before to brief us on what to expect the following day. The dumpster and materials arrived right on schedule and were placed exactly where we had discussed. The work crew got to work immediately and covered exposed shrubs and air conditioner, moved the deck furniture and planters and began the tear-off. They were very well coordinated and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. Matt stopped by during the early stages of the process to answer any questions and inspect the work. The entire process was finished and the dumpster was removed that same afternoon. At the end, a field manager arrived and we did a walk through, not just of the perimeter of the house, but of the entire roof surface. The workmanship was very good. Despite the large amount of debris that had been removed, the roof, gutters and surrounding area were surprisingly clean. I found a few roofing nails under the dumpster once it had been removed, but that was to be expected. Overall the process was satisfactory from beginning to end. We have no regrets about hiring Roofs R US and would recommend them.

From start to finish this was a great experience. They were scheduled to come out 2 days after we first contacted them but they ended up coming out a day early. A large crew made for quick work and they were done in just a few hours. There were a couple of issues that started to occur during the job in regards to a couple things not being done according to contract. I talked to the lead crew person and the corrected the first one with no issues. The second issue I ended up calling the sales person and he came out as soon as he could to get that squared away. Both were simply miscommunications issues and easily taken care of. Daniel Dlouhy was excellent to work with in getting the work done. Very customer oriented and made sure job was being done right and well. The crew were very pleasant and on the ball once they got to our place. They were about an hour later than I was told they would be there but very minor, especially as they were originally they were scheduled to come out a day later. I would highly recommend Roofs R Us and I will be using them myself in the future when the house roof needs new shingles.

We love Matt. The work was done quickly. When replacing the old rubber roof, there was more damage to the underlying structure than had been expected, but Matt honored the originally agreed price. When we had questions about the finished job, Matt came out and answered them honestly and satisfactorily. We definitely would use his company again.

We're very, very pleased with the work Roofs R US did, as well as the whole process of obtaining and going over the proposal and various options. I did a fair amount of research into the various materials and the importance of workmanship when installing a new roof. I obtained 4 quotes from companies highly rated on Angie's List, all Owens Corning certified (to one degree or another). Initially I was going to go with a different company based mainly on my level of comfort with the details he provided in the proposal. But that company wasn't so available or helpful once I verbally agreed to go with them. So I contacted Roofs R US (who are Owens Corning PLATINUM certified) to go over the proposal more closely. Matt was very patient, clearly knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I'm very detail oriented, so this says a lot! That's one reason I'm glad I went with Roof R US. Another reason - Matt saw the need for some minor repairs (bottom of copula rotting, some batten board siding needed to be replaced) and included those repairs in his quote. He also accommodated other requests. Even so, his proposal STILL came in far less than 2 companies and almost the same as the third. Since no one else included all the extra work, the value of Roofs R US proposal was much greater. Even without the extra work, no one's proposal beat Roof's R US's. All went well during the installation. A few weeks later we noticed what appeared to be a leak over the garage. I called Roofs R US and they came out right away. Since the installation was done when it was already getting cold out, it appeared the shingles hadn't yet sealed before a very heavy rain hit us. They addressed the issue. It's been 6 months now since the roof was installed, and there have been no issues. The leak I called about never re-appeared. So I can confidently leave this review with a very high recommendation to work with Roofs R US!

I found Roofs R Us on Angieslist and had them provide a quote to compare to another provider. The price was significantly better and since Roofs R Us is a certified Owens Corning contractor (most are not), they provided a much better warranty. On the first meeting, Matt D. came out with numerous shingle samples and and wrote a quote on the spot. He was able to check the schedule and give an exact install date vs the very vague "it will probably take a month or so" answer from the alternate provider. The company I initially spoke to would not budge on price until I told them I was going with someone else. I saved about $5,000 out of pocket over the original quote. Unlike others, you will not find Roofs R Us chasing storms. Since they are Owens Corning certified, they are required to completely remove the old roof and use high quality materials. They spent at least a couple of hours making certain every single nail was removed before they started installing the new roof. They replaced every vent and do not reuse anything unlike other providers. Since I have a large roof, they had to return for a few hours on the next day, finish the job and clean up. They used a metal detector to make sure there were no nails on the property. The only place I found a few nails was under the roll-off dumpster after it was removed. I don't think there is much that can be done to check in that spot but they might want to add a reminder for home owners in their installation process. After the install, I noticed that a downspout was bent most likely from shingles from the tear off. Another small downspout that was in a obscure location under a sofft had not been reinstalled. Matt promptly came out, replaced the downspout and installed the other one under the soffit. My mortgage company would not accept the lien release provided and required their own that was notarized. Matt had someone take care of that very quickly. All and all, it was a good experience. The quality of work and materials was high and they were responsive even after they had received full payment.

Some scheduling delays, but once the project got going, it went very well. No issues.

Roofs R Us This past summer we suffered hail damage to our home and required a new roof. I decided to pick three of the top roofing venders off of Angie?s list for an estimate. One of the venders was Roofs R Us. It didn?t take long for us to realize that this was the company for us! We made an appointment through their office and Mike Eastman arrived on time at our home for the inspection and estimate. First, he physically surveyed the roof and I told him about several problem areas I was concerned about, i.e. previous ice dams and drainage issues. Mike proceeded to make a very thorough inspection of the roof including the taking of pictures. He then sat down with me and went through every possible detail of the repair (A to Z) from the dumpster placement to how they picked up the nails. He promised me they would be done in one day (and they were) and no debris would be left on the property (there wasn?t). He adequately addressed my concerns with viable solutions that I knew would prevent previous problems from occurring in the future. But here is what was most important to us, Mike said he would be there during the installation to make sure those problem areas were adequately addressed. Mike also had the foreman of the job take before and after photos which they gave to me following the job to prove that they had followed through with their promises. I had one or two small concerns after the job was complete and Mike was there within a week to address them fully. All I can say is that if you don?t have these guys do your roof you are making a big mistake. I get stressed out when people are working on my house, especially the roof. But I have to say that Mike is so open and honest that I would have let him redesign my whole home! Don?t waste your time or take chances, let these guys take care of you and you will be glad you did!

Aside from some initial scheduling difficulties, everything with Roofs R Us went very smoothly. They were always professional. The roof job was completed within a day. They did a very good job cleaning up after the job. I especially appreciated that they didn't ask us to put up a sign advertising their company in our yard. We have neighbors that had their roof replacements done months ago that still have the advertising signs up. The final roof result looks great!

All details of work were completed as promised. A great place to do business!

They arrived exactly on time . Protected all shrubs and completed job in one day, I selected them because I was impressed with Matt's knowledge and organization. Plus he was always on time and very helpfull.

Everything went well once it got going (got rescheduled twice due to weather and such). The dumpster arrived at 7am, the crew arrived at 7:30, the old shingles were off and components of the new roof being installed by noon. The job was done by noon the following day. Sounds routine but I don't think mine was a routine roof for them to work on. The house is a 100+ year old Victorian-style house that has a relatively small footprint but is a full 3 stories tall, with a 12/12 pitch roof (steep by any measure) and 2 dormer attic windows that create a collection of roof peaks (ridges) in a relatively small area meaning maneuvering one's self or material around required vigilance - and safety harnesses for all. In addition, the house is in an urban setting and generally close to their neighbor. In my case my neighbor's house is about 8 feet from mine and they just had it resided, so extra care had to be taken not to drop the old roof debris on that side of the house. I felt for the crew and the challenge I'd given them, but they took it in stride. An example, right next to the house is an old birch tree with one of its limbs reaching over the roof. I told them they could cut off anything that got in the way. Instead of cutting it, they somehow wedged it back so it was out of their way yet close enough to serve as a coat / tool rack. Roofs R Us was a good contractor to work with. Their bid was very competitive and they easily accommodated the special needs of my project. The crew were experienced and worked together well. They had the know-how and special tools (i.e. an elevator ladder to lift material up to the work area) to get the job done safely. I feel i got good value for the money spent and would recommend Mike Eastman and his Roofs R Us crew to anyone needing roof work done. PS - I purchased the Owens Corning Total Protection Roofing System with Duration shingles. Looks great.

The project went pretty smoothly. They answered all the questions we had in a very timely manner. The project took 2+ days to complete as opposed to the 1 day they thought it would take. Overall, it was a positive experience and would recommend them to others to use.

Matt came out to the house on a Saturday morning, was very detailed in his review with me of the work they would do and his price was the most competitive. I aslo felt he was very honest on questions/concerns I had and communicated well thru the whole process. The crew started early in the morning for fall mn weather and did a great job protecting the deck, landscaping etc around the house and garage. The crew completed the house and garage in one day, it looks great and they did a great job cleaning up. Mike came by toward the end to make sure the job was going well and he updated me on the timing of the next installer the following day. Because of a job overrun that was delayed one day but was communicated and expected. The second phase of wrapping windows and fascia and soffits on garage in the end looks great, unfortunately, the wrong material was provided initially, since I caught it early it ended up less work for the company and Mike assured me the product I wanted is what I should get and two windows were redone. I would highly recommend the company and others in my neighborhood (NE mpls) have used and I have already told others!

It went horribly. Judging by other reviews, I cannot fathom out how I am an outlier. My wife first contacted Roofs R us in the beginning of September. After telling them we may have experienced hail damage for our roof and would like an estimate, my wife instructed them to give me a call to set up an appointment and work out a specific date. I admit I am confused by the circumstances of that phone conversation but they never called me to determine a date. I did not follow up for a couple of weeks because a relative passed away. I re-initiated contact with Roofs R Us using their website web submission form on Saturday September 19th. I never received a call back. A competitor, Snap Construction responded to my e-mail inquiry which I submitted on the 19th and also gave me a call on that Monday the 22nd. On Tuesday, I call Roofs R Us to schedule an appointment for October 7th. Snap Construction came out that week, called that they were on their way, and provided me an estimate on September 28th. Now, it's October 7th, and I take time away from my job and I am home at the scheduled time at 3pm. After the scheduled time passed for a few minutes, approximately 10 minutes, I call them up and ask was it supposed to be at 3:30pm. The receptionist took my information and told me someone would give me a call back shortly. I wait for another half hour (3:40pm) and call back and ask, is anyone going to give me a call back. She mistaken my phone number, corrected it, and now I waited for a call back. There isn't an excuse in the world to convey my frustration where a simple phone call would suffice. Everyone is busy but not following up is unacceptable level of professionalism. Your mileage may vary. A representative showed up at 5:30ish pm and called at 5:05 to say he was being late for the 5:00pm appointment. We got on to the roof and inspected the hail damage. He provided s video showing that there was not significant damage to my roof. This helped me understand the scope of the damage and what my options were. He provided an estimate that was very reasonable. I will consider using their service.

I met with Matt who I liked right away. We went through all my concerns and he answered all my questions. He had already done an aerial mapping of the roof and was able to give me a bid on the spot. Other companies took a week to get back to me. He beat the other bids by $1000 and I did not tell him what the bids were. The crew arrived on time and they worked quickly. I had my questions answered along the way and everyone was professional. They will be the first ones I call and will be meeting with them again to take a look at another roof that I think will need replacing soon.

We were very happy with our experience with Roofs R Us. The consultant who did our bid took a video of our roof and explained what was currently wrong and what he would do when he replaced it. It was very informative. We discussed our options for our roof, which is pretty flat, and he gave us estimates for two different approaches, including the pros and cons of each. When it came time to replace the roof, they arrived punctually and got the whole job done in one day. They worked incredibly hard and the roof looks amazing. They cleaned up thoroughly after. They made everything so easy for us!

Roofs R Us responded promptly to my request for a quote, met me onsite, and gave me a very competitive proposal on the spot. After my acceptance of the proposal, the project was scheduled for a date about two weeks later. The work was completed as promised in a single day, with just a short delay due to heavy rain. The sales rep / owner and the crew were very professional.

Due to storm damage, I hired Roofs R Us to replace my roof. Matt did a nice job of presenting the estimate. Very thorough in every way; showing a video of my roof and what materials would be used and what type of warranty would be given. The crew showed up on time, worked very hard and covered my plants, shrubs and put wooden boards against the screens on the sun porch. Matt and Moises were managing the project. It was check, check and recheck until the project was finished. Matt takes complete ownership in each and every roof provided by Roofs R Us. I was very happy with the job, but knew if there was a problem, Matt would make it right. Everyone in my neighborhood had to get a new roof and my next door neighbor said to me, ?You got the best roof.?

The crew was excellent and did an outstanding quality job after a slow start. I was very disappointed in the companies owner, also salesman (Matt Dlouhy) for not letting me know the morning of the job that the crew had been backed up due to weather on another job. As a result, they did not show up at 7:30 as expected and I received no call. I finally called at which time Matt then made some calls and was finally able to get a skeleton crew over at 9:00 to start (however they had no ladder at first and borrowed mine). Finally the full crew showed up by 10:00 with all equipment and the job then went very well. The crew did an excellent job! Better customer communications would have made it a much better experience for the customer. All I ask for is a call to me at the beginning of the day to explain the delay.

We worked with Mike from Roofs R Us. What a great guy and what a great representative for Roofs R Us! He went over the process and suggested additional roof vents to satisfy code and measured our 3 season porch to ensure that the slope was up to code for shingled roofs (It had been ok 25 years ago, but not now). The crew did a nice job and everything looks great

Very well. Had a few questions but the owner answered them satisfactorily.

On the morning of the work, the dumpster arrived bright and early. Shortly thereafter, the Roofs R Us crew arrived and wasting no time began tearing off the two layers of shingles. As the work progressed, they asked me if I had any wasp spray as they had found a rotted area above my garage where the wasps were nesting. They cleared out the wasps and repaired all the decking boards. All day long the crew kept at. I was amazed at the pace of their work. By 8:00 PM the new roof was in place and the cleanup was completed an hour later. The next morning the dumpster was picked up and Moises, a Roofs R Us supervisor, stopped by to double check the work. I had already been up on the roof looking for any flaws. I told Moises that work was perfect. In the overhang where I had the squirrel problem, they had installed aluminum flashing and then expertly cut cedar boards along the entire length to cover the flashing. I seriously looked for any out-of-line shingles, any missed caulk, any defect, but found nothing. Within two days of the installation of the new roof, we had a storm blow through Apple Valley with winds strong enough to take down one of our oak trees. The roof was just fine. Great job. Two thumbs up.

Roofs R Us did an outstanding job, completing the project in one day. We had two bids for the project, but Matt's presentation blew us away. We had 20 questions prepared, but Matt addressed nearly all of them in his presentation. The workers were very professional and cheerfully answered any questions we had. They were very careful to protect our landscaping and decks. They arrived on time and didn't seem to need any direction. They did an exceptional cleanup job afterwards. The project manager, Moises, was available during the day to answer questions and see how things were going. Part of the project was to install all new attic ventilation, removing two attic power vents. We now have only stationary vents. We also had 3 pieces of bad roof decking replaced. As a side project, we needed our garage door trim rewrapped because of previous damage. Juan did a great job.
