I do not recomend this service provider. I purchased a big deal from Dan and it took a long time to find availability in his scheduled, but I was ok with that, as my job was not urgent. The real issue with Dan's service is that he reels you in with a and quot;Big Dealand quot; then works extremely slowly so he can charge you more to complete the job. Dan sub contracted my work out to a friend and when his friend showed up to do the work, he brought his wife and son to help with the job. I was charged for the hours of the person who painted as well as some of the time for his wife and son along the way (I still don't know if I paid to have a person sit and watch while someone else painted). I purchased a and quot;painter for a dayand quot; deal which is really 7 hours of painting service for 1 person. The job I asked Dan to complete was just a stairway up to a second floor level. I do understand that the area I asked Dan to paint was a tall area - so it would take more time to paint that part of the house. I have done a lot of my own painting on various homes I have owned, so I have a good sense of how much time it takes to paint wall. The sub contractor who actually did the work was an older gentleman and his work pace was extremely slow. The amount of painting I asked Dan to do should easily have been done in a 7 hour period of time. When the sub contractor finished Dan wanted to charge me and additional $250. I called Dan and discussed my concern, he told me that my wife approved the extra time so the job could be finished. Dan did not quote my wife how much and quot;extra timeand quot; was going to be charged so we were bascially stuck with whatever time Dan wanted to charge us. When I called Dan to talk through my issue with what had happened I asked him to come and look at the project himself so he could see how little space was actually painted for what he wanted to now charge me a total of $449 for ($199 big deal plus an additional $250). Dan refused to come to the home and look at the project. His exact words to me when I asked him to come look at the work and inspect the job was and quot;Well thats not going to happenand quot;. After much bantering back and forth Dan and I came to an agreement that I would pay him an additional $190 since my wife had agreed to have the painter finish the small space he was painting and we didn't want to leave a project partially finished. I really caution others considering using Dan's service to be very careful in working with Dan. For me this became a bait and switch experience.

Steps and pavers look fabulous. Contractors were GREAT to work with and had a lot of good ideas/options we threw around to ensure I got the best design. They had to do a lot of reconfiguring of the steps to fit my desired measurements. The custom flower box is awesome! Some of the concrete used to fill in the basement window seeped into the basement floor drain, and it hardened in the drain and clogged it. The contractor was out to my house in a couple days to take and look, and happily reimbursed me the cost of having the drain unclogged.

I started talking to Dan last fall after purchasing a day of day of painting. He was very patient waiting for me to have painting done. Dan and Corey assisted in determining the right paint for our needs. Corey and Brian, Dan's painters, painted our first and second floors. They did an excellent job. They were very thorough and very neat.

I used this service on May 8th for an interior job (basement). Tom ans his assistant did a great job meeting expectations. Took time to scrap some loose paint, fill some holes, and tape before painting. The job looked great afterwards. Thanks, Cherie

There were a few problems getting the painting scheduled due to the owner not being able to find the coupon, and my not following up right away to see what happened. Another customer kept the painter for longer than expected the night he was originally scheduled to come, and he didn't call to tell me he was delayed. I called the owner and he followed up and the painter came the next night as scheduled; he was pleasant and fast and the kitchen looks good.

Went very well. Dan was easy to work with in the planning process and the work crew was very pleasant and produced a quality result.

Scheduled an appointment on 4/17 for the following Tuesday, but he did not show up :(

He came out to look at the two issues that I'm having. His estimate was pretty high, and I got another estimate. Dan said he'd come back out and revised his estimate if necessary. I've not gotten back to him, but he's followed up with me a couple of times.

Dan sent a part-time painter who works for him on the side. He did ok. Applied the paint to thick for my liking an got a bit on the foundation. All in all, not as good a job as I would've done, but it was a "Big Deal" offer, so the price was right.

Punctual, efficient, neat and thorough. Great crew of three painters.

The hardest part was getting in touch with them and getting pictures to them so they knew what they were working with. Other than that, it was good. I purchased the paint myself. They did exterior painting of my foundation. There was one person that came and he was very nice. He worked the whole time he was here.

First off, I would like to say that Dan is a good guy, cares about his company's reputation, and wants to have the job done right. He is also running a business, and there is a delicate balance between being a professional, and being a businessman. I think Dan can spread himself thin at times by being the owner, contractor, estimator, and foreman. But this seems to be one way he keeps his costs down, and passes those savings on to his customers. When I first met Dan, it was to show him the building plans for my new house. I was a little surprised (and nervous) to find out Dan hadn't bid off plans before. This wasn't a big hurdle, and we agreed that as long as his pricing and estimate was very detailed, he could make reasonable adjustments once the house was framed. This put any worries at ease, and I felt it was a fair compromise. Once the framing was complete, Dan arrived on the construction site when needed, and measured the roof. There was a slight increase, but nothing too unexpected, since I had a good idea how many squares my roof was. I also made a couple upgrades, added a Rhino synthetic underlayment, ridge venting, and color matched metal valleys and drip plates. All the little upgrades seemed very reasonable. When installation of the roof was finished, Dan realized his crew had used more shingles than he anticipated. He had included this and quot;overageand quot; in my final bill. I argued that he had received my business, as a result of his original bid. It wasn't fair to the other contractors I've turned down, if he was going to estimate on the low side, and make adjustments late. We discussed the reasons for the overages, and worked things out like professionals. In the end, I paid for the extra material, and he covered the extra labor costs. I feel this was fair. In fact, I decided to retain his services for the gutters. he didn't know this at the time,but if he wasn't going to compromise, I would have given the gutter business to someone else. So what does this tell potential costumers? It says that Dan did the work he promised, at a fair price. He did so in a manner that I felt comfortable giving him additional work. As for the gutters, the installation went as smooth as butter. And the guys who installed the gutters were so genuine and nice. Dan, keep these guys installing gutters as long as you can..., even if their price goes up. They do great work, and seem to take pride in what they do. One more point, there are a couple things you should look for when having shingles installed. Make sure the ice shield is installed a minimum of 3' from the edge of the roof, and in the valleys. Also, when the roof meets the side of the house, the flashing should be installed under the house wrap. Drip edge should be installed everywhere you will have gutters, otherwise, water will run behind your gutters. I also highly recommend ridge venting and synthetic underlayment. Dan did all of these things, but they are upgrades from his base pricing. There was only one thing that I wish was different. The turtle vents on the back of the roof isn't spaced equally. I was told his installers informed him that the truss spacing prevented even spacing. I did the math, and I figured it could have been installed with even spacing. Luckily, it's on the back side of the house, and nobody has noticed. In the end, I am very happy with the results, and feel that I paid a very fair price. Thank you Dan!

We were not able to get something scheduled with him and he left it to us to try to follow up and get something scheduled in the future. We had our money refunded but it was a waste of time.

Contractor was very responsive and the painter he sent over was terrific! The workmanship was excellent!

Not the very best job I have ever seen-----, but o.k.

Dan himself was really nice and made sure that everything was ok. The painter was really sloppy. There were splatters on the wall. He spilled paint on the carpet and didn't tell us. He was also very slow.

They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. no complaints!

The only reason I gave a B is that Dan Netko was so busy that the deal I bought in last fall didn't get done until February. Partly my fault that I didn't call him to remind him. What concerned me is that he suggested his wife come to pick up check for cost of painting supplies and I had already bought painting supplies along with the paint. There should be clarification on that for future purchasers. Again, once Dan and I did connect, he got a painter out the same week working two evenings to get it done.

Dan and his guys have been doing work for me for many years. I have yet to ever have a complaint. The estimates Dan gives you are fair and clear. He explains everything and if he has any question, or uncertainty, about something that might cost you more money he calls you and gets it clear up. They work that has been done always impresses me. In that I get so much quality for such a fair price. Dan, and his guys, have a extreme attention to detail and they never do sloppy or shoddy work. In fact the opposite is true in that the only work they do, and expect, is the very best. You cannot go wrong hiring Dan Netko to do any home exterior work. If fact, it would be a huge mistake not to have Dan Netko do the work. Do yourself a favor and call Dan.

My experience from beginning to end was bad. I bought the $199 for 7 hours of painting coupon. When I called to set up a time, I was told that due to the overwhelming number of calls that I couldn't even get on the schedule and that I should call back in two weeks. I could describe the whole back and forth that occurred over the next 3-4 weeks but I'd rather not. When the painter finally arrived he was a really nice guy but the job he did was terrible. He said from the beginning how swamped he was with jobs that he clearly rushed mine so that he didn't have to come back a second day. Nthe trim work is so bad that I have to have it redone. Even worse, without me telling him to do this, he started putting one one and quot;thickand quot; coat of wall paint so that he didn't have to let it dry a day and come back for the second coat. Anyone that knows anything about painting knows that this is a bad idea and that paint needs to be applied evenly and allowed to dry. There's a reason why professionals let paint dry overnight before applying a second coat. Needless to say but the one and quot;thickand quot; coat left globs of paint dried on the wall which I had to sand and the paint on the walls are just generally uneven. I'm having to go over them with sand and a second coat of paint. Cost to me was $199 plus materials of about $100 so basically $300 for nothing and a waste of a month.

I pointed out a few drips which the painter promptly took care of. I'm completely satisfied with the work!

Dan was slow in getting to me, but he had lots of takers on the big deal. He had some problem with the concrete slipping on the wall, so took an extra hour to make it right. The work was satisfactory . big deal was $150 (for 7 hours work), plus $140 extra for another hour (for two men), plus $80 for materials etc. Total of $370.

The quality of the job was good and the amount of time spent working was reasonable. The only issue was a scheduling miscommunciation between the owner and the painter, which caused the painter to not show up on the original date scheduled. The owner apologized and the painting was done shortly thereafter.
