We had a very small kitchen with a wall that blocked off the rest of the house. Tim recommended removing the wall to open up the kitchen to the dining room and the rest of the home. We decided to go with this idea, and are very happy with the way it turned out. Tim removed the wall and added a header to support the roof, put up new drywall and finished it off so you can not tell there ever was a wall there. He tore out the old laminate flooring that was in the kitchen and the carpet that was in the dining room. He also replaced some damaged subfloor where our old fridge had leaked. Tim sanded the entire floor to level out the seams and to remove any paint or drywall mud before installing our new hand hewn hardwood flooring. Tim noticed that the post on our rail was loose, so he ended up removing the post and railing, and repairing them by using new hardware on the post, and making two rosettes where the rail met the wall for added support. After our custom cabinets were made and installed, Tim came back to install the trim in those areas. We are extrememly happy with our new kitchen and dining room. Tim's attention to detail and great suggestions, helped pull the entire project together. He was always there when he said he would be, and was willing to answer our many questions. Thanks Tim!

I couldn't be happier with the end result, Tim was always there when I needed him and always available for a quick question. Early on in the project he came up with some great ideas, that we had not considered. We had an area against a wall were the ductwork protruded about a foot from the wall, we were going to just build a box around it. Tim suggested we make a custom cabinet to incase the duct work, we went with it, and it looks great.
Description of Work: Tim framed my basement, did all the trim work, hung doors, built some custom cabinets, installed countertops, installed bathroom vanity.

Framing: We provided him with a basic plan for room locations and he added lots of ideas on how to frame the ceiling (to work around the existing ductwork/beams) His ideas opimized the ceiling height concerns we had. He also recomended moving a wall back at the stair and wrapping the stair around the wall to give a bigger landing. It was nice to have ideas that did not increase the budget! Installing the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. When we ordered the kitchen cabinets we forgot to concider the extra 4" of space that would be created between the ceiling and the top of the cabinets. Tim was able to make that space look like a archictural detail in lieu of an afterthought. The door and trimwork is what pulled the intire project together. we asked him to install 2 pair of doors that we purchased from a "reuse center". Retrofitting hardware and trim they look as good as the new doors. And it saved us some money. Tim was always on time, quiet and the bill was lower then expected. -one day the countertop was being installed. The countertop guy was running late and I had to make a quick run. I asked Tim to let the guy in and pass on some installation information. That was a huge help!
Description of Work: *framed out our basement remodel *installed out kitchen and bathroom cabinets *Installed our doors and trim work
