Apple Valley Garage Door

The bottom roller of my garage door had popped off the track. In an effort to put the roller in the track, I made the situation worse and I wasn't able to close the door. I had used Matt before so I was very glad that when I called he was able to come out that afternoon and replace the roller and cables. I was especially happy with his prompt service since it was a Saturday. He is definitely the first one I call for garage service.

We have an older house built in 1983, with 3 separate garage doors. Whenever we have problems with either of them, Matt, with Apple Valley Garage Door, has been our business of choice. Matt is timely, dependable and honest. His workmanship is absolutely excellent, top notch and his prices very reasonable. No sense in struggling with doors on your own when you have a professional of his caliber to depend on! We highly recommend his services!

We have had rusty hardware on the bottom of our garage doors since we purchased our home several years ago, presumably from the previous owners using way too much salt on everything during the winter. The other day, a rusty cable on one of the garage doors finally snapped. I was very happy with the work Matt did. I submitted an inquiry through their website and received a prompt response. It was easy to communicate with Matt via my preferred method (email), and he was available to come out the next day to look at our garage door. When he arrived, he was friendly and listened to my concerns. We looked at both of our garage doors, and he explained what could be done. He explained some other things that could be done (such as replacing all the rollers at the same time; not just the rusty ones on the bottom), but did not pressure me to make any particular decision. He was informative and helpful when I had questions. He wasn't sure if he would be able to do all the work I wanted that day, but gave a couple of options (such as waiting to do all the work until tomorrow, or doing at least some of the work today and then finishing tomorrow). I told him it would be fine with me to start today and then finish tomorrow if needed. He did end up being able to do it all the same day, which was nice. When he was done, we had all new hardware on the bottom of both our doors (new cables, bottom brackets, and rollers). He left a sticker inside the garage with the company name and contact information, and a description of what was done on that date. I thought the price for the work done was reasonable. Overall I was really satisfied with the work. Matt was able to come out quickly (in less than 24 hours), do the work in one day, and charge a reasonable price. The communication was good, and we no longer have to worry about rusty/failing hardware on our garage doors.

Matt was fantastic. He came to our house at 6:20 in the evening, after I'm sure having a long day of his own, because our garage door wouldn't shut. He fixed everything (a cable had come loose), spent extra time tuning up the mechanisms, didn't try to upsell us, and his pricing was extremely reasonable.

He was trying to save us some money by just fixing the laser detector because the wire was broken. It was going to cost us about $20 to $50 I think. But instead we decided to replace the whole garage door system for about $280 that would last another 15 years depending how often we open and close the garage door. So we did agreed. Now the garage door is so much quieter.

I called Matt around noon on one of our coldest below zero days, we set an appointment for 5:00 the same day. He called around 4:00 and asked if it was OK to come 20 minutes early, which was great. He arrived promptly and got right to work. In an hour he was done. He also lubed the opener without being asked, it's running smooth and quiet. This is the third time I've used Matt for garage door work, always a good experience. I highly recommend

I came home and found my garage spring had snapped. Even though it was early evening Matt responded very quickly (within 30 mins) of me purchasing the Angie's list deal - which seemed like a very fair price from my research. He was able to come out the next day. He was on time, explained everything well and did good work. I would definitely use his company again.

Matt did a fantastic job. He was able to come out within two hours of when I called and replaced both springs in just over a half hour. He showed up exactly when he said he would. In addition to replacing the springs he also tuned up the belt alignment for no additional cost. The cost was as quoted, then he offered to give a senior citizens discount. I will highly recommend him to anyone.

The spring broke on the garage door so I called this provider because they advertised 24 Hour Emergency Service. Matt advised they are a small, family owned business and they do not always provide 24 hour service, especially right now as they are out of town. I understand this, but I am confused as to why you would advertise emergency service when you cannot deliver.

This is an excellent company, particularly because it can be difficult to choose from the many garage repair companies out there. Their prices was very fair and the owner took my inquiry call and performed the service himself. Highly recommended and excellent to work with!

Apple Valley Garage Door was fantastic! One of our garage door springs broke and the door was almost impossible to get up or down. Side cable also had to be repaired. Called the company to see if they would have any appointment openings (of course this happened on a Saturday afternoon). Matt said that he had an appointment on Monday afternoon. After finding out that the cars were stuck in the garage, he said that he would come out to fix it first thing in the morning - on a Sunday! Arrived exactly when he said he would. The repair took about an hour, and was exactly as quoted. Also, Matt found that one of the garage door panels had cracked, and he was able to move one of the supports to give the panel added strength - at no extra charge. He replaced the garage door springs with larger high quality springs that would handle the size garage door that we have (the last springs that were replaced were smaller in length, and of course could not handle the workload and broke after a few years). I will definitely use Apple Valley Garage Door again the future if needed, and will refer friends and family to them too! Great work!

Garage door wouldn't open and I noticed a broken spring. Called Matt in the late morning and he came over the same day. He found that my garage door had extra struts and was heavier than normal so he made an extra trip to pick up some bigger springs that will better support my door at no extra cost. Door works great.

I found Apple Valley Garage Door on your list and reviews were very positive. Just had a different company out approx. 2 months earlier to replace broken cables. The door never seemed to work as smoothly as it had before. Now one of the torsion springs broke so I decided to look for a different repair service. Called Apple Valley Garage Door around 9 a.m. Matt answered and was very friendly and professional. I told him the problem and he said he could be out approx. 4:30 p.m. same day. Great service. Both my wife and I had commitments so I offered to leave the back door unlocked and would pay with credit card once work was done. Matt agreed and didn't even ask for a card number prior to coming. He called me a little after 6 p.m. telling me the door was working but he was short one spring. He asked if he could come out the next day to replace the other and was very apologetic he had to make a 2nd trip. This wasn't a big deal and I agreed. Matt completed the work the next day, left me a message that the bill was on my door and I could call at my convenience to settle up. When I arrived at home that night, I checked the door and it was working better than ever. He even adjusted the travel on my opener so the door gently sits down when closing. Overall experience was outstanding. Matt is very personable and professional, does great work and I would recommend him in a second.

I signed up for a Big Deal and Matt called me within 30 minutes to schedule an appointment late that afternoon. Matt arrived on time, checked the door and agreed that is was a broken spring. He told me how much it would cost ($125) and how long it would take (about 45 minutes). Matt quickly put in the new spring which is stronger than the old one. Matt offered to leave the old spring with me but when I heard he could recycle it I had him take it.

I highly recommend this business. Very prompt, and courteous service. From the time I purchased the deal on Angie's List to the repair of my door was less than 24 hrs. Matt was able to diagnose my broken door and fix it in less than an hour! He gave me good recommendations to keep it operating smoothly. I will definitely use this company for my future needs.

It went very well. He came, repaired it, suggested other things we could do to make it run better, did those, and then told that the coupon we'd purchased covered everything!

Matt arrived within our agreed upon time schedule. He determined that one of the cables on one of the garage doors was broken and needed to be replaced. He said that he always does both cables even if only one is busted. You could see after he took the 2nd one down that it was rusting and probably would not have lasted much longer. So, this visit was a double fix that I hadn't anticipated but was very happy with. He also changed the rollers on the bottom of the door because he saw that they were rusted. He tuned that garage door and then he also generously tuned the 2nd garage door without a charge because he noticed that it needed it. It sounded great after that--no longer noisy. He was efficient and thorough PLUS and I would recommend him to anyone needing their garage door fixed. I sure will call him in the future if needed and will recommend him to others.

Matt was awesome to work with. He was very responsive. Knowledgable. He was there when he said he was going to be. And that's a big plus for me. I hate waiting after a scheduled appointment. The doors look great. I would definitely use Apple Valley Garage Doors again.

One of our garage door springs broke while both of our cars were in the garage. I called Matt around 6:00 PM, and he arrived around 6:30 PM the same evening. He had the work done in about 45 minutes. He is friendly, professional, and very prompt! We will definitely call him in the future and recommend him to friends and family.
