Matt returned my call very quickly. He was able to come out the next day but I wasn't going to be home, so we scheduled the service for Monday. He was on time and professional. He listened to me while I explained our issues with the door. Matt took care of all the issues and our garage door now operates significantly more smoothly and quietly than it did before. The garage door springs will have to be replaced at some point and we will definitely give Matt a call to take care of that for us. Thanks Matt!

Matt was awesome! Our garage door wouldn't open. After discovering a broken torsion spring, we gave Apple Valley Garage Door a call. They had great reviews on Angie's List, were local, and seemed very reasonably priced for the type of work we needed done. Matt answered the phone right away, and was able to come out the next day. He was right on time, very friendly and personable, and explained everything he was doing, step by step. After the new springs were installed, he lubricated all the rollers, checked the safety photoeyes, greased the track, and tested the door opener a few times. Afterward, he explained the 5-year warranty and recommended a maintenance schedule for me that will be easy to follow. He also left a sticker with his phone number and the warranty expiration date right next to our door switch. The entire service took less thank 45 minutes. I was very impressed and will use Apple Valley Garage Door in the future!

The installer did a good job. One garage door spring was broken and the other aging. Replaced both. The installer was friendly, informative, and did a good job for a fair price.

Another cold weather garage door issue. Matt was available the same day we called and did a speedy repair. Still works great.

I called him late yesterday afternoon right after one spring snapped and he said he would be here at 9:30 the next morning he showed up right on time and fixed the problem he also made sure the doors were in alignment and lubricated both doors with no extra charge I would call him again if I had any problems or wanted to purchase a new door, give him a call I think you will be glad you did.

My garage door would not open. The spring on the left looked separated. Matt was able to come out within a couple hours. He was going to replace one spring. I asked to have both of them replaced. He also checked rollers and tighten the hardware on the electronic eye. One was coming loose from the wall. Job well done!! Would call him again. There is a 5 yr. warranty on the springs.

I would highly recommend Apple Valley Garage Door. Matt is friendly and fast. He made it to our house within a few hours of calling (same day). He noted that he had one spring that was the correct size for our door, which is heavy, but one that was smaller. He installed the smaller spring just so we could use our garage door for a few days until he was able to come back and install the correct size to match. He returned a few days later and installed the correct spring. I thought the price was very competitive. This is the second time I've used Apple Valley Garage Door -- the first time, about six years ago, Matt replaced a worn-out gear in my opener. When it's time to replace our garage door opener or for any other issues, they will definitely be my first call. I'm happy to recommend them to anyone.

Cables on one side of our garage door snapped, leaving the door tilted an an angle and unable to close. I called several companies (it was after 5:00pm) and had to leave messages with all. Apple Valley Garage Door's voice mail message tells you that they will call back within 15 minutes, and they certainly did. He offered to come out immediately, explaining the extra charge for emergency service, or would schedule an appointment for the following morning without those charges -- I appreciate not just offering emergency service without telling me that it would add to the cost of the repair. He actually showed up a little earlier than expected for the appointment the following day. After he did the work of re-wiring the cables, he noticed that my springs were too small for the size of the door. Instead of trying to sell us on replacing the springs, he simply advised that the next time they snap we should make sure to get larger ones. When my wife asked about replacing the garage door soon (it is 15 years old), instead of trying to sell us on something, he told her that we easily had 10 more years in that door. I appreciate when repair people do the work they were called for and don't try to upsell you on everything. Great experience and will use again.

Matt arrived early and was happy to describe in detail the work that was necessary. He showed me how to take care of certain items myself in the future should the need arise. There was no surcharge for acquiring additional necessary parts, but rather simply a charge for the items themselves (he showed me the receipt). He was thorough and very professional. I will definitely contact them again whenever I need garage door service.

The spring on our garage door broke on a Sunday afternoon. We had done business with Apple Valley Garage Door several years before at another property. We contacted Matt on Sunday evening, and he came out Monday morning - even though it was technically a holiday for their company (New Year's Eve day), and it was EXTREMELY COLD to be working outside. He fixed the spring, and got the door working again so we could get the car out of the garage. Since the doors were 30+ years old, we decided to replace them Matt reviewed the available options with us and made recommendations as to the type of door that would be best for our situation. He scheduled the installation for one week later, and arrived when he said he would, and had the doors completely installed in the time he indicated. We are very pleased with their service - professional, friendly, and prompt. Would highly recommend them to others

Apple Valley Garage Door replaced the springs back in 7/2007. I had a sticker in my garage with the company info and a note that said the warranty was 5 years. I also still had my receipt. We called Matt Whyte and he came out within 1. 5 hours and replaced the spring for no charge. Pleasant and quick. Thank you!

I found them on Angie’s List originally. I have used them before. I started using them because they were located nearby. My garage door would not go up. The garage door opener was broken. I had called them and had left a message. They called me back in an hour. They sent somebody over within two hours. They came out on a Sunday and fixed it. The price was much lower than I had expected as it was a Sunday. I spent $150 on the job. I will use them in the future.

There was a slight delay in the start time for when the installation began due to truck problems and the garage not getting done in the time they said they would be done. AV Garage doors (Matt and Jeff) were both there about 2 hours later than they expected but worked ALL DAY and into the night until everything was done. We couldn't be happier with the new look! The cost of the doors ended up being higher than we were quoted, but AV Garage doors stood by their estimate and did not charge us for their mistake. We added a little extra money to our final check to try to close the gap for them. Their hard work and honesty is greatly appreciated and I would definitely use them again.

John from Apple Valley Garage Doors was great. He went out of his way to show up the day after I called to fix my garage door because snow was on its way. He had it done in about thirty minutes. I was referred to them by a friend. The price was good. I would use their service again in the future if needed.

They were 1 1/2 hours late (although they did call to let me know they'd be late). They called 20 minutes before the scheduled time to ask what again it was they were doing and what the problem was. I felt as though they were very expensive since the parts were not more then $30 and they were here only an hour. But on the positive side, they were friendly and were able to be at my house within a few days of calling them.

I called Jeff at 8:00 am on Tuesday and left a message on his voicemail. He returned my call before 8:30. He asked how soon I needed the door repaired. We agreed on anytime after 1:00 pm. He called at 1:05 to be sure I was home and he was at our home by 1:30. Job took about 40 minutes. No wasted time. He double checked the door operation. Door runs extremely quiet and smooth.

I called them at 10:30am and they said that they would be able to come to my house at 1:30 that same afternoon! I didn't realize it was same day service! The technician didn't arrive till 2:00pm but that was ok since I didn't expect them to come the same day anyways and was happy to get it fixed on the same day. He worked fast and efficient and answered all my questions.

Two garage doors didn't work and we had no openers at house closing. AV garage door came over and adjusted springs, tightened all hinges and oiled rollers. We then installed our own openers. We have used this company before and they are good. They come out quickly and fix what you tell them too, and they quoted me some prices (only when I asked) for additional work, but my husband decided to do the opener install himself. We will call them again when we need any help with our garage doors.
