Tile & Style

Right after we met with Kelly, my wife and and I knew that he would be our tile guy for our bathroom remodel. During our our 1st in-person meeting, Kelly answered all of our questions thoroughly, provided some design features on how to best showcase the tile we picked out and provided us with an itemized estimate later that evening. Kelly was very responsive and professional in regards to any additional questions or concerns we had during the entire process. During the install, Kelly and Andy (assistant) were always prompt, friendly and cleaned up everything after each work day. Job was finished on quoted time and estimate. Kelly and Andy are true craftsman and really care about the final product. Excellent job done and thanks again, Kelly and Andy!

The project was completed very smoothly. Kelly was very professional, answered all our questions, price was right, he arrived on time and completed the job as he had explained. He even held his price until the electrical work was completed. I will have no hesitation in recommending Kelly to my friends and working with him on future projects

Work is superb! Tile is put in flawlessly with all tiles lined up perfectly, walls are straight and floor was put in correctly. Kelly and his assistant were polite, cleaned up after themselves and completed the work on time and budget.

Kelly Hendricks came over in August and consulted with us on the backsplash design for our kitchen renovation. He provided his recommendations, but worked with us to provide the design that we had in mind (travertine stone 4" x 4" tiles in a diamond pattern, even though it was more difficult to install with our kitchen window layout.) We showed him examples of the tiles we would like to use and he was very helpful in further deciding which types to use (if we liked certain grain patterns, colors, or the natural wear of the stone). He shared photos of past work, recommendations from other homeowners, and his insurance information. We could tell that he took pride in his work. Kelly took careful measurements of our kitchen and within a few days provided an estimate of the work, and shared that he would pass along the contractor discount he receives on the stones themselves (which other providers we spoke to didn't pass on.) While his original estimate on labor was slightly higher than other contractor estimates, we felt confident that he would do a good job and he was able to reduce the price by a bit so it would be more competitive with the other bids. We appreciated this flexibility and were happy to give him our business. Kelly and Andy took 1 1/2 days to complete the work in September -- one to cut and install the tile, and the next to seal and grout. They were very professional and protected our home by covering the floors and countertops, and making sure not to scratch the floors when moving appliances as needed. There were a few tiles that we asked to be removed and either re-cut or replaced before it was sealed and grouted, and Kelly was happy to accommodate. We are very happy with the results and get compliments frequently on the outcome! Very beautiful and exactly like we had envisioned.

Kelly Hendricks came over on 7/22. I showed him the porcelain tiles I had purchased. He took measurements of the kitchen and explained that he and his co-worker (Andy) are very detailed and keep up with the latest trends and products in their field of work. And also that they are booked ahead with jobs for a couple of months. Kelly pointed out to me the patterned back of the new tiles and said he would make sure that the adhesive is applied thoroughly to the surface to insure the best job. I was impressed with his knowledge and that he takes pride in his work. He gave me a list of tile installation references, from 2002 to the present. He also provided a copy of his insurance. Later, Kelly sent me his bid via email. I did my checking and decided to go with Kelly. I could have had the work done sooner than October but I was going to be out of town for awhile so it was scheduled for mid-October. Kelly and Andy were here the morning of 10/14 and worked until at least 5 p.m. Removed the stove and refrigerator to the other room. Did the demolition of the old floor and subfloor. Installed new subfloor and the new porcelain tiles. They returned the morning of 10/15 to do the grout. Kelly showed me the sealer they use (25 year guarantee). They finished the project in a day and one-half. Hauled away the debris. Kelly and Andy moved back the appliances. I was very satisfied with their work. It looks wonderful. They are very careful and detailed with their work. They like to get things done right and in a timely fashion. They know what they are doing. I certainly recommend them to others.

The tile for our kitchen was purchased in advance of hiring Tile & Style. Kelly was able to stop by our house within a day of calling and give us an estimate for the installation. We had to wait 4 weeks for an opening in his schedule but were very happy with the final result. Installation of the backsplash and floor took about 3 days. The backsplash tile was a 3" x 6" bevel edge tile laid up subway style and looks great. The tile we had selected for the floor was a large 20" x 20" tile which we found out were not perfectly flat. In addition, our house was built in 1934 and the existing sub-floor was not even close to level. Kelly recommended the proper subfloor material and worked very hard to assure that the tile was laid level and even with a heavier layer of setting material to make sure there were not hollow areas that could fail in the future. He was also very careful with the layout and patterning of the tile. The floor looks fabulous and we are very happy with the result.

We were looking for someone to bid the whole project and he was just the tile guy. We got a bid from him for tile but we were looking for the whole bathroom. His name was Kelly Hendricks. He was very professional. His quote was right in line with everyone else but we were looking for someone to be more of a general contractor. We didn't want to be the general contractor. He had lots of business cards for other people to contact for other pieces of the project so he was knowledgeable of people that he would work with but we were looking for somebody to do the whole thing.

Kelly was absolutely wonderful to work with. I contacted him and he came out the following day to provide me with an estimate. He provided me with some design ideas and emailed me a quote later that evening. I felt that the estimate was reasonable and he ordered the tile for me. It took 2 weeks for the glass tiles that I wanted to come in and I was aware of that up front. We identified a date for him to install the tile. He was on time, the installation took one full day and he returned the following day to complete the grout. He and his partner Andy cleaned up at the end of the day and it looked like they hadn't even been there. I have received a lot of compliments on both areas that they did from friends/family. I would highly recommend Tile and Style to anyone and would definitely use them again.

I could tell from the moment I met with Kelly (Tile & Style) that he was an amazing professional and knew everything there was to know about tile!! Kelly went into great detail about what I could do with my job (giving me things to think about and tips), walked me through his process, and also showed me other recent jobs he had done and copies of his insurance. I could also tell that Kelly not only cared about the job, but also the visual aesthetics of how the tile would look. Which is very important! Kelly provided me with an estimate that I found to be very reasonable (as I met with other tile installers, as well). I decided just to re-grout my shower for now, due to not having enough funds for the job. But rest assured after meeting with other tile contractors in the future I'll be giving Kelly (Tile & Style) a call for any tile rip out and install and get the job done right from the start.

Kelly did an excellent job communicating, bidding, and finally executing the work. He has the qualities I look for in a skilled trade: Communication, flexibility, and most importantly, attention to detail. The work is beautiful. I have already recommended Tile & Style to my neighbors.

Kelly and Andy arrived as scheduled, kept things neat, communicated well and were all around great. Judging from other companies we'd gotten estimates from, our job was somewhat unusual and challenging requiring a high level of meticulousness. They handled it with artistry and grace. We are very happy with our beautiful new kitchen counter.

The project was completed in 5 days as quoted before the project began. Kelly and Andy removed the old shower tile/door and linoleum flooring and thoroughly cleaned the area from existing mold before installing the new ceramic tile and flooring. Kelly coordinated a plumber to come in at appropriate times during the project to perform necessary work to keep the project on time. He also suggested a tile that would work well with the existing tile. We feel the work performed was well worth the money we paid.

I contacted Kelly for a kitchen backsplash. He was very quick and responsive when I called. At the time I had no idead of what I wanted to do and he was very helpful in giving ideas. I was having my entire kitchen remodeled and he was able to perform the work within our schedule and around other contractors. He was punctual and the job was complete on time. I went with a detailed design and Kelly did a wonderful job at accomplishing my vision. Great experience and the backsplash looks perfect.

The day Kelly came to start the backsplash, he opened the box of tiles and considered them to be less than perfect. He and his partner Andy returned them and found that that particular tile had been discontinued. He chose another tile for me and I love it! He really is an expert and I would trust him for all future tile needs that I have.

The work was completed soon after the estimate was given. Due to the manner in which the previous contractor installed the tile, the job turned out to be more involved than first thought-they had to remove twice as much tile as they first thought but they worked a longer day so the job was still completed on time. Eveen thought there was more work than first thought, the charge was what was estimated. It is good to know that they removed all the damaged and moldy material. I was a bit concerned by all the construction dust and was prepared to spend an evening cleaning. I guess I should not have been surprised that they cleaned the bathroom so good that you would never have known construction was recently completed in it! I would use them again. I would recommend them to friends.

I got a few bids for the work. Kelly from Tile and Style came out and gave me a bid. During the bid process. He explained the work to me in details, gave me an idea of the schedule and cost. Once I hired him, he scheduled the work quickly. He went to the tile store with me to order the tile and provided advice in the process. He came out to do the work when he said he would and kept me informed of the progress. He was professional and completed the work in the time he said he would take. There was a slight miscommunication on a small area which didn't get tiled. When I called him about it, he came back quickly to get that completed. My wife and I are both very happy with the work and very satisfied with Tile and Style. The bathroom looks very nice.

Overall I had an outstanding experience working with Kelly. He responded to my phone call the same day I called and was able to come out the following day for an estimate. I had already picked out some tile samples so we talked through design options and he answered my questions. He gave me an estimate of $500 for the work that included purchasing the tiles for me at a 20% discount (that came to an additional $225 above the $500 estimate for the work), grouting and sealing. We were able to schedule the work on the spot for 3 weeks later. The day of the install Kelly and his assistant Andy were on time, efficient, and thorough. The came back the next day to grout and seal and cleaned up. I was very pleased with their work and enjoyed working with them.

Kelly and Andy installed the concrete shower floor basin which we had replace our old, ugly shower "pan." We wanted to work with someone that had the knowledge, skill and work ethic to offer us a superior installation in a prompt and timely way and our expectations were met and beyond. Kelly was easy to reach for an estimate and came over the day after I called. The bid was reasonable & complete as well as the work completed in the designated time frame. In addition, Kelly checked up on as we proceeded with the project, offering his expertise if wanted. If are looking for true craftsmen, passionate and hard working, you won't be disappointed with Kelly and Andy!

Kelly was eager to come do the estimate and then the work. Andy even noticed a problem with where the carpet met the tile coming into a bathroom. We weren't going to ask them about it but he noticed and said they could fix it! Their estimate was less than the other we got and kelly was much more thoughtful about thinking through our tile install and bath cauk repairs. He worked with a difficult tile supply company to get what we needed. When a bit of the backing chipped off the edge of the tile when it was cut, he then ran out to a store to get a matching paint to place on the edge so it wasn't as noticable. They were efficient, friendly, and we have had many comments about how beautiful our backsplash is. Would hire them again and recommend to all. Allison W

From quote to completion, Kelly and Andy demonstrated professionalism, personability and a willingness to make sure we were happy with the outcome. We started with some ideas and a few tile samples, and they helped us by offering lots of practical and aesthetic advice. Then Kelly sent a quote that was very reasonable. The next step was helping us work with the Tile Shop to ensure we got what we wanted and needed. The work proceeded smoothly, and they were flexible in their ability to work around the needs of the other contractors. Overall, we are pleased with the work and will be keeping their card nearby for recommendations.

The project was great from start to finish.

Kelly gave us an estimate for the work to be performed. He came out in two visits, one to lay the hearth and one to finish the tile on the wall. We are installing a surround on top of the hearth. I sent Kelly a link to the dimensions of the surround. The surround lines up perfectly with the hearth. Kelly and Andy take pride in their work and do a great job. Our fireplace looks fantastic. Kelly even fixed a small blemish done by the counter top installers that were installed the same day. Exceptional!

Kelly is a true craftsman who took time to explain how the existing tile had been improperly installed and what they could do to improve the look of the space. He provided detailed descriptions of the work they would do in the demolition and in the installation of the new tile. He suggested a more appropriate orientation of the new tile than we had originally considered, which turned out beautifully. He was very responsive to all of our communication, kept us informed about the progress of the work and did what he said he would do for the price he quoted. He and his crew were neat, respectful and very professional. We would recommend Kelly to anyone. He was a pleasure to work with.

Kelly came on time for his estimate. He was professional and friendly and described his process very well. He gave us a lot of confidence that we were in good hands. He arrived on time for installation. He did an excellent job, we could not be happier. He worked very hard to give us an awesome backsplash. We have a 16 foot wall that is perfectly level and straight. It was what we were most concerned about. Kelly aced it!! We are excited to share our beautiful kitchen with family and friends. We will use him for projects we will have in the future and will recommend him to family, friends and anyone who asks if we know a tile person. Thank you Kelly!!
