Description of Work: Rock Solid did two services for us. The most recent one was a beautiful fire pit and landscaped stone patio. It took them one full day to do it and they completed every detail including our requests for specific features and colors at the last minute. They came back the next day to check it over and repair minor damage from the machinery going over the wet lawn. |A couple of years earlier, they completed an under deck stone patio for us. That also turned out very nice.

I picked Rock Solid out of three landscape companies. They were the mid-priced- much closer to the low bid than to the high one and their design was more involved than the low bid. I made edits to the design with Jeff but when the work was done, I'm pretty certain the workers followed the old/original design as opposed to the new one. I pointed out one area (a tree) that I knew was misplaced and it was adjusted which left a gap that was filled in by a plant not originally intended to be included. I'm not super fussy, so I let it go but I live with the belief that I'd like my landscaping better had it been done according to the adjusted plant- and that it would have been better without that late adjustment. What upset me more than this error (mistakes happen) is how difficult it was for me to get a response the next season when I requested other services or had dead plants. I had to wait and it took multiple e-mails before I'd hear back. No one likes feeling like they're being ignored. I did have a few plants replaced earlier in the season and I had my lawn sprayed for crab grass (did the trick!) and recently, later in the season, I had more plants die and requested replacement. I was told these plants would not be replaced because they had died of neglect. I won't argue that the plants got the best care possible, but I certainly tried. Three plants dried up and a few more got infested with weeds. I was willing to strike some kind of deal and pay something for their replacement but I simply have not gotten a response for weeks after 2 e-mails. I'm an easy going person but this latest experience with my dead plants has upset me. I just want a solution that works for me- and paying another company to come out or attempting to patch the landscape myself would not please me.
