Description of Work: Replaced a broken sprinkler head in an in-ground system. Have worked with them for years, including initial installation of the system. Great guys who do quality work, on-time, and nice to work with. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: I had two separate landscape reps from different companies come out and measure my yard for mulch. Both reps indicated I would need 8 cu. yards of brown mulch. I lined up a truck and went directly to Rock Solid to pick up the mulch. I was told that each skid loader bucket represented 1 cu. yard of mulch. Each time Rock Solid's skid loader picked up what was supposed to be 1 cu. yard (per bucket), I noted that it was not full and they skimped on the mulch. I was not satisfied, but was told they gave me what I ordered. When I got home and had the mulch applied to my gardens, I was almost 3 cu. yards short on the mulch. It was a frustrating and expensive lesson. I will not use them again. Feel I was ripped off.

Of course, we always encourage customers to obtain multiple bids for comparison, but when it comes to purchasing landscape supplies, it’s critical to consult our experts as well. Unfortunately, miscommunication often occurs when customers deal with too many vendors. In addition, the price that you paid for the mulch indicates that you only purchased enough to adequately cover 3-4 cubic yards. Again, if there was miscommunication, we apologize. However, we take great pride in our reputation and in the ethical treatment of every customer. We’re not in the business of “ripping people off.” We wouldn’t have lasted all these years, nor sustained our reputation as one of the Twin Cities’ best contractors, if we were. Description of Work: Originally they installed my sprinkler system and since have provided annual maintenance spring and fall. The service was excellent originally but not as responsive now. I would still recommend them but they need to tighten up.

Description of Work: These guys are great for delivering landscape materials. I order boulders and mulch and they deliver right away. Their prices and delivery are lower than other landscape companys, so delivery pays for itself and I break even. Courteous and reliable.
