I needed to have a garage door opener installed on the third stall of my garage. I checked AL to see if there were installers recommended. The Aker Doors came highly rated and to boot I had a neighborhood circular that showed they had a special running for a belt drive opener installed for $320. I called them up to ask about that special and what it would cost to have an old opener discarded (I had it removed when a storm damaged my garage door a couple of years back). Chris from Aker was very professional and accomodating. He said that the special was still going on, and that he could have an installer at my house later in the afternoon. Since the old opener was not installed he said that they would take it for free without the normal disposal charge. The installer came later that afternoon as expected. Did great fast work, and helped me program my all my controllers, (2 from the old opener and 2 from the new opener) to open both doors. Additionally, he programmed my number pad opener to open both openers as well. Since the special called for a number pad opener, the installer called the dispatcher to see if they could get me a discount since I did not need that opener. My original quote was for $329 ($320 for the opener and accessories and $9 for the braces), but they took $24 off the original quote, so I only payed $305. Great customer service, professionalism and punctuality. I would definitely use Aker Doors again!

I found Aker's on Angie's List and am extremely pleased with their services. My garage door opener works very well. The installer (Dan) fully knew his product and did a good job at the installation, as well as, cleaning the area thereafter.

Service man arrived within an hour of my call. He replaced the door springs, which solved the immediate problem, then he reviewed the set up of the electric eye, adjusted the sensors to the correct positions, quickly rewired one of the sensors and fixed them into position so they would not be jostled. He did the complete spring installation and the additional extras within about an hour. I found this extremely helpful because I had experienced problems before in keeping the sensors adjusted.

They were prompt and responded quickly to my call. I felt like they did a good job inspecting and diagnosing the problem. They proposed different options. Ultimately, I just decided to replace the units. Their pricing was competitive.

Ken arrived on time and provided an estimate for standard white doors and to remove the existing doors. Both doors were installed on time, with excellent workmanship. We would hire Aker again.

Aker service person was friendly, prompt and helpful. We had the option of fixing the old garage door keypad, or getting a new one at a reasonable cost. He also fixed the bad squeak. They installed our garage door several years ago and we have been very satisfied.

Their price was reasonable. The quality of their work was good. I will use them in the future, and I have recommended them to other people.

The process went very smoothly and quickly. I called Aker Doors about getting a new garage door soon since our was not working properly. They sent someone to our house with door color samples and an estimate of the cost. They were not pushy about getting an insulated (more expensive) door or any other upgrades. We scheduled our appointment for the installation and they were able to do the install when we needed it done...even though it was right around a holiday and we thought they might not want to work that day...and it was about 20 degrees below zero. The man who came to install the door worked only a couple hours and the job was done. Everything has worked properly for more than a couple months, so I think all is good! And as I mentioned above, they also hauled away our old door and opener at no charge.

They are prompt, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. I have used them for about 15 years. They generally come the same day I call.

A couple weeks ago on a Friday my garage door opener stopped working. Unfortunately it happened on a Friday afternoon at about 5:00 PM. I immediately went to Angie s List and looked for a company that was close to my home in an effort to get them out to my house ASAP. Unfortunately I ended up leaving them a message on their voice mail since it was after hours. The door was cumbersome to open by hand because the springs were not tight and the door would not stay up on its own. This meant my cars had to stay outside over the weekend. Alas. On Monday morning they returned my call and I described what was happening (the opener would run but the chain did not move). The person I talked to told me that most likely the gears were stripped and that they could be replaced, or I could also buy a new opener. I opted to get the gears replaced and they told me it would be $125.00. The technician came out Monday and replaced my gears. He had to run back to the office for another part but was back within 15 minutes. He also tightened my springs and got everything up and running. They performed the services in record time and did a great job for the price quoted. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Excellent, he was clean and neat and left the garage completely picked up from any garage door debris.

It was a very easy experience. I had scheduled the work out about 2 weeks and at the last minute we were not able to be home. Aker doors changed their schedule for us and came out a day early. They work fast and very neat. The guy performing the work was very nice and professional.

We found them knowledgeable, professional and resourceful. Initially there was some doubt about whether our old garage door opener could be compatible with a new keypad but they found a solution.

The Aker representative, after receiving my initial phone call, immediately arranged to come to my home to offer a free estimate for the garage-door replacement. He was very courteous and thorough during his visit. A few days later we received the written estimate, which we accepted after determining that the price was reasonable. Then a technician immediately came to our home and did the work as required. The original, very heavy and awkward doors were completely removed along with the ceiling electrical mechanism. The new doors, exactly as ordered, were then attached with the new ceiling mechanism, keypad and so forth. Everything worked beautifully and was done on time.

A rep came out the day after we contacted the company and gave us estimates on fixing the current opener and on replacing it. We decided to have it replaced, we called on a Saturday and left a message Monday morning a rep called (I think the owner) and said that he could have someone there that day. The rep came and installed it while I was at work and it works fine. Since I wasn't there when the technician installed the opener, my husband's nurse (my husband is disabled) had planned to get information from the technician on how to use the different buttons on the opener, and then relay it to me, but she said that the technician was very quiet, and seemed unwilling to show her.

Our garage door was jammed in the up position, which meant we couldn't leave the house without leaving our garage wide open. I called the company at 7 am and they had someone at our house at 10:45am. He took care of the out of alignment issue and than removed our old garage door opener and installed a new one. He was very nice, professional, and did a great quick job! Its only been a day, but I think we're going to be very happy with our new opener. I would highly recommend using this company. Great job!!!!

They did an excellent job. They were on time and very courteous. Their prices were much more reasonable than other places.

Wednesday night the left torsion spring broke I called Aker Doors at 7:30am and they were out by 10:30am the same day. They put two torsion springs on check, adjusted, oiled and made sure my electric garage door and opener where functioning correctly. When I'm ready to put an electric door opener on my other door and if I have any other problems I will be calling Aker Door. They are professional, prompt and honest.

Met the team at the Home Show, where we were able to get a quote and a discount. We called a couple weeks later and were able to schedule an appointment relatively fast. The team came when scheduled, did the installation, and cleaned up afterwards...you couldn't even tell they had come besides the new doors.

We were very pleased with their timeliness, honesty, quality work, and price. We thought that they were going to have to replace the entire garage door. The door was originally installed in 1999 by Aker Doors. When they took a look at the 2 doors, they noticed that struts (for extra support) were never added and should have been. They only charged us for a service call though they did much more work.

Aker was very prompt in field-measuring and quoting our new door. The door was installed a few weeks later, and the installer did an exceptionally neat job despite the nasty weather. He offered some tips on maintenance of the opener and helped me program the keyless entry system.

VERY NICE TO WORK WITH BOTH THE SALEMSMAN AND THE INSTALLER. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE IF NEEDED.

I STOPPED INTO AKER DOORS ON MONDAY AND MY GARAGE DOOR WAS INSTALLED BY THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. THE INSTALLER WAS FRIENDLY AND WORKED QUICKLY. THE OFFICE STAFF WERE ALSO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

WHEN I CALLED WITH THE ORDER, I WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE INSTALLATION WITHIN ONE WEEK. THE INSTALLER GOT STUCK IN TRAFFIC ON THE WAY OUT AND CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THAT HE WOULD BE THERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HE KNEW THAT I HAD TO LEAVE FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND HE WORKED QUICKLY TO GET THE JOB DONE SO I COULD GO.
