We had 2 garage doors installed in Jan 2024. Our garage was unique but Aker got it done. Twice we’ve called about needed adjustments and they came out within 1-2 days to make it right. Their prices are competitive, their workers knowledgeable and friendly, and impeccable customer service. I RARELY give a company a 5 star rating but they totally deserve it. Many kudos to worker Rick. Great guy!

Everything went well, from the initial contact to the final install. We have a new, high quality Haas door and Liftmaster opener. Communication was excellent, with estimates, invoices etc. all provided by email in a timely manner. Good customer service. When the opener malfunctioned a few weeks after installation, Aker sent a service tech out the next day and he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I believe that the cost was commensurate with the quality of materials, workmanship and service that we received. I would recommend Aker.

Went perfectly from the visit to quote to the install. This was not a cookie cutter project but they made it go perfectly.

Installation went great. The front office doesn’t understand customer service. My original install date was canceled at 6pm the night before due to them booking a commercial job. I guess my business wasn’t good enough. So after I now wasted a day of PTO they would not discount my install for my hassles. There are better companies that value customer service.

Purchasing the new door & scheduling the installation was easy to complete. It was done over the phone. The installer arrived on time, worked quickly & neatly, and answered all of my questions. I am happy with the new door. I also was happy to confirm that Aker Doors, Inc. continues to provide excellent service. They installed the original door in 1986 and did some service work in 2005. I was pleased with their service in the past & that is why I contacted them to replace the door.

We could not be happier. Ken was great to work with in ordering the door to our liking. We were referred to Aker Door by friends who also loved their experience with them. Toby was excellent when he came out to check the door and make sure all was well with the photo eyes so we don't have a door that won't close when the sun hits it (that had plagued us for YEARS). We are incredibly happy now.

They were able to schedule the installation quickly and they completed the work promptly, quickly and neatly. The new garage door looks great and I'm happy we decided to have Aker Doors replace the entire door for us.

My garage door has not been installed yet.They are waiting for the door to arrive. Angies List seems to be a little pushy to get reviews. So far I have been VERY satisfied with Aker doors in Ham Lake, with the exception of one receptionist who tried to upgrade the type of door I needed (more money). Mike Haaf is my sales person and I find him to be honest and very helpful. He listened to me when I told him what I needed and then suggested some styles that fit. He didn't push me to buy an expensive door. He will be my "go to" guy if I need to shop at Aker again.

I originally scheduled them for a fall tune up on my garage doors. We had one that had actually fallen apart in the past year and I wanted to make sure it would work through the winter. When Toby arrived, he was very professional and looked over my existing garage doors as they had advertised. In the end, we were not able to fix our existing door as it was in terrible shape. Toby provided me an estimate to have it replaced. Within a week, my new doors were ready to go and installed on my garage. They look awesome, work so much better than they did, and the service guy did a great job cleaning up after himself and getting them installed within a 1/2 day. Excellent work and I wasn't even charged the original service call once they ascertained that I needed the new door. Would definitely work with this company again.

I was so impressed with Aker Doors! The customer service representative was extremely courteous. Scheduling was easy. I only had to wait a few hours for a technician. The technician was professional, skilled in diagnosing and repairing the problem, and patient in taking the time to explain the problem and solution to me. Aker's price is fair, and I trust them. They definitely have my future business and recommendation!

We called 4 companies; 2 offered the same exact door. Aker was much cheaper. Also, on the phone, Mike was pleasant and very helpful. Another company that I called was more expensive and were difficult to talk with. Mike came out to our home, explained the process to me, helped me find the right match (we live in a townhouse association and we needed to match the style and color of existing door, as close as possible). When the door came in, he called to schedule the installation. I did re-iterate that the seal around our door was a different color than the standard; had I not done so, the installer would have brought the standard color. The installer came out on time and did a good job. When he was finished, he cleaned up after himself, including rolling a magnet around our garage to find any screws that might have fallen. About a month later, I noticed at the right edge of the bottom seal was torn and jagged. I called Mike and explained the issue. He sent someone out, on a schedule that worked for me, and, no questions asked - he replaced it and adjusted it so it won't happen again. We've now had our door 2 months and it looks great and seals well on all sides. We're very pleased and recommend Aker Doors highly.

They were very professional and listened to what I wanted in a door and opener. When we decided on a style it was about a month from order to when we got the install. They we're prompt and did a great job. The price included the haul away of the old door. We will definitely use them in the future.

Totally professional. Kept job site very neat. Worked with customer for location of openers and external remotes. The North Central products are designed very well. Installation was flawless.

Arrived and got right to work. Did a real nice job installing the doors and opener. Cleaned up very good, and took all the old stuff with when he left. Very happy with Aker Garage door.

It was great! They were good. The guy was very helpful. In fact, he did one extra thing which wasn't even in the list so that was great. I had trouble programming my car so that it would open the garage door. He actually went up a ladder to the garage door opener and basically did it for me. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They came out a couple of weeks after I purchased the deal. I assume that they did a good job. They did everything they said they were going to do. I haven't had any trouble. I had a different issue with the garage door that was completely unrelated to this. It was a broken spring and I did call them. They were my first call but it happened over a weekend and I ultimately ended up going with somebody who could come out that very day but I would still call Aker first for anything that goes wrong in the future.

Very professional! Excellent to work with. Top quality work, quick, and nicely done. Easy to communicate with and very responsive. Discussed my needs for a new garge door and offer only what I needed. No high pressure sales or trying to get me to take good and services I was not interested in. Would recommend this company to anyone.

I was very satisfied. When I did need service, they came right away. I had no complaints whatsoever.

I have used Aker Door Company three times over the past 15 years or so. The first was to install a garage door opener I purchased myself. The second was to replace the torsion springs since one of them had broken. And the third time was to fix the cable mechanism that I had messed up by trying to replace the lowest piece of "roller hardware" on one side. In the third case, I really messed up the cable system, and I "kinked" the door so badly I didn't know if it could be easily fixed or not. In all three cases, the man from Aker Door was there on time and did an outstanding job. They clearly know that they are doing, and they do their work in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. They dealt with me consistently with mutual trust and respect, and I always recommend them to others when I have a chance. Their pricing always seemed very reasonable to me - - even when I was clearly "at their mercy" regarding how much work would be involved with fixing the problem I had. So for any and all garage door repair work, I highly recommend Aker Door Company. Their "card" with their "contact information" is clearly posted on the inside of my garage - - right next to the garage door closing button.

The service man showed up right on time, was very friendly, and explained everything he was doing in response to my questions. He performed all the standard services (lubrication, roller replacement, tightening up anything that needed attention) and fixed a potential problem that was a result of my garage structure. My garage door is purring beautifully and quietly when it raises and lowers. I would definitely recommend Aker Garage Doors to anyone - and I really wish some of my neighbors would get their noisey doors tuned up!
