TruGreen Lawn Care - 5786

They've been coming here a few years. They do good job. They knock on the door, let us know that they're there, leave a sign, tell us what we have to do, what they've applied, and tell us what to do. They only make suggestions, they are not high pressure. If you prepay, you get a discount, last year we didn't, but, I'm going to this year. They treat the health of the yard. We only have the front lawn as we have a large swimming pool in the back yard that takes up the yard. They don't tell us when they're coming out, but, as I said they leave a note telling us what we have to do with recommendations like watering the plants. I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.

I like that I can pay them once a year and they come and seed my lawn and it is all taken care of and I don't have to worry about anything like the fertilizer or anything.

Their price is reasonable. I am not particularly happy with them as I don't like their sales techniques. I had an incident sometime back and I may not be hundred percent accurate about it. There is some kind of black spots on the tree. I called their sales person and he said that they were called blights. The people that came out to do the service were knowledgeable tree people but they had not been told about what they were coming out for. I said that it was for the black spots on the Maple trees for which the woman said that it was something else and there was nothing that they could do about that. The sales person made something up to get me to sign up. Their service is fine but their sales techniques are pushy and awful. Every time that I deal with their office it is a big hassle as they do a second and third effort to sell me something. They are not reliable about what they say. However, I cannot quote anything to you specifically at this point as it is just a feeling that I have. I have a contract with them for monthly treatments and so, I am still using them. I would run out the contract this year and would not use them again. There was another issue. I had a tree taken down and it was sending little sprouts that I wanted to be killed. I made a bunch of phone calls and went around in circles. It finally turned out that they did not know anything about that. It took them a long time and several phone calls. I don't like them and would not want to work with them again. They come when they are supposed to. The people that do the work are quite professional but their office is not.

They do lawn care and part of their lawn care is to spray something to keep the pests out. Their prices range between $49 and $68 for their services. They let us know if they notice problems. If there is a bug in the bushes, they let us know. They come out whenever and they are on schedule.

The TruGreen Companies LLC checks your lawn to make sure everything is working properly. if there is a problem they will come back and fix it right away. their price was the best i found. i will use them again in the future.

They give me a reminder call ahead of time keeping me informed. They always show up when they say they are going to come. They complete the job very quickly. Their pricing seems to be good and the quality of their service is very good. I have been satisfied with their service.

We hired TruGreen in the summer of 2007, after we bought a house with a large, beautiful, green, weed-free yard. By the end of the first month, we noticed the grass starting to yellow and weeds pop up. We called and someone came out to respray. They performed the fertilization and weed control services separately. Each time, we were told we would "see greening up or weed die-off within 7-10 days". We repeated this process several times with the grass continuing to get worse. We asked for a manager to come, who promised us we would get prompt attention and things would improve. Despite many calls and many treatments, by the end of the summer, our grass looked terrible. We called to cancel our service but were coerced into trying the "TruGreen Challenge". If we signed up for another year, and stuck out the whole season, if at the end of the year we were not happy with the service, we could get a $75 refund. We agreed and signed up. This last summer has been a repeat of the previous, with one exception, the grass color and weeds have been worse. At one point, a manager came out. When my husband expressed his frustration with the weeds, the manager told him, "You shouldn't have let it get this bad". Can you imagine? We paid them HUNDREDS of dollars, yet it was our responsibility to make sure they kept the grass green and weed free. While the manager was there, he convinced my husband that our small trees and shrubs needed to be sprayed for Japanese beetles. My husband agreed. However, it was not explained to him that it was not a one-time service and that he had signed up for a program. I could go on about the grass and the frustrating regarding that. However, I will touch on customer service. Here is a list of quotes I received over and over when I called: "We don't have a record of that in your account." "He's not in the office today but will call you back tomorrow." "There's only one person who can do that and she's on vacation this week." "I'll have her call you when she gets back." "She was on vacation last week and has been really busy but I'll have her call you back." Not once, did someone call me unless it was to ask if we would like to enroll in another service or to discuss a bill. I called a few days ago to request the $75 refund from the TruGreen Challenge. Not unexpectedly, "I don't see that in your record and having signed up for that." We spoke at length about my frustrations and she told me "the branch manager is out of the office but either he or I will call you tomorrow". It took everything I had not to laugh. I waited patiently the next day for a return call but none came. I finally called at the end of the next day and "the branch manager has been really busy and that must be why he hasn't called you". I asked to speak with him and was put on hold. After several minutes I hung up. To his credit, he did call me back and we talked about my refund. Long story short, they issued the refund. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN TruYellow.

Tru-Green is prompt in their applications, coming at appropriate times to help prevent potential weed problems and fertilize my lawn at appropriate times. I still do have a limited number of weeds and crabgrass.

My lawn looks great. I do not have to call them to make arrangements for the fertilizer. They are on a schedule and come when the service is due. I would recommend them to others in need of lawn fertilization.

The chemicals they used made the grass grow too fast. The lawn was overfed. I was never sure why I needed so many treatments. But the worst part was their telemarketing sales staff called several times a month wanting to sell me more services. Their prices were high, too. I never knew when they were going to show up either. Also the fertilizing guy never got the edges of my lawn, and in some spots to the weeds would grow there and I'd have to kill them myself.

Basic services are fine. We don't have any weeds, grass is green. They always call every year to upsell more services.

AVERAGE PERFORMANCE MOST OF TIME. SOMETIMES THEY DID NOT PERFORM WORK ON DATE THEY INDICATED.

I signed up for the prepaid plan, 5 applications for $154. Services are provided automatically and on time with a report on what was done. Weed treatment works well. Charges are based on yard size, yet they do not treat entire yard. I observed them on more than one occasion treating less than 20% of my lawn. When I called about this they asked me not to worry since they provide a guarantee, if there were any concerns on how the lawn looks they would come back and fix it. But my objection was that since they charged by the size of the lawn, and if they consistently fertilized only a small portion of the lawn, they should either charge me less or fertilize the entire lawn. I was then promised that the service person who did the treatments would discuss this with me, but never did. For this reason I did not renew my service with them but decide to do it myself. My lawn looks just as good when I fertilize it myself, at considerable savings. Their sales is are incredible, but not service.

THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME. THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE. MY LAWN ALWAYS LOOKS GREAT. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO DO ANY TYPE OF LAWN WORK.

I AM REALLY HAPPY WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE. THEY DO A REAL GOOD JOB ON MY LAWN. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND PROFESSIONAL. MY LAWN LOOKS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE OF THEM.

THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. THEY COME WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. I HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE. THEY ARE VERY NEAT. IF THEY MAKE ANY MESSES IN MY YARD THEY ARE QUICK TO CLEAN THEM UP. I RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS ALL THE TIME.

I REALLY LIKE THE WAY MY GRASS LOOKS AND THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB. I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM TO DO MY YARD. THEY ARE VERY CONVENIENT, NEAT, AND DO EXCELLENT WORK.

THEY ARE A GOOD COMPANY. THEY HAD NO HIDDEN FEES AND THEY DID WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY MADE SURE TO CALL ME BEFORE THEY ARRIVED. THEY DID A GREAT JOB AND THEY DIDN'T TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING I DIDN'T NEED.

THEY DIDNT DO A GOOD JOB AT ALL. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEM AT ALL. THEY BURNT MY LAWN UP. I DONT KNOW WHAT THEY DID, BUT MY GRASS IS ALL DEAD. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY ARE A WONDERFUL COMPANY TO WORK WITH. I HAVENT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM FOR AS LONG AS IVE USED THEM. THEY ALWAYS CLEAN UP THE SIDEWALK AFTER THEY ARE DONE MOWING THE GRASS. I THINK THAT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL.

THE COMPANY COMES ONCE EACH YEAR AND I THINK THEY DO A GREAT JOB. MY LAWN LOOKS VERY HEALTHILY. THEY ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO CALL ME BEFORE THEY COME OUT AND THEY ARE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE CHEMICALS THAT THEY USE.

THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND DEPENDABLE. IF I HAVE A CONCERN ABOUT SOMETHING, THEY TAKE CARE OF IT. I'VE HAD THIS SERVICE ABOUT EIGHT YEARS. THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE.

THEY ARE VERY QUICK. THEY WORK AROUND MY SCHEDULE AND THE TIME THAT WORKS BEST FOR ME. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME. THEY DO WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN HIRED FOR WITHOUT HIDDEN FEES.

THEY'RE A GOOD COMPANY BECAUSE THEY DO GOOD WORK. THE ONLY TIME THERE IS A PROBLEM IS WHEN IT IS RAINING AND THEY'RE NOT ABLE TO COME. THEY ALSO WILL CALL AND LET ME KNOW IF THEY ARE GOING TO BE RUNNING LATE.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO COME BACK FOR A FOLLOW UP TREATMENT AND NEVER SHOWED UP. THE PRICE WAS A LITTLE STEEP FOR THE WORK PERFORMED.
