Well talking about feeling undermined as a female and the owner of my home. Due to the fact that my husband wasn’t home for the quote, he said they had a lot of quotes to do so we can reschedule. As I told the man, the final decision will be mine and even if my husband were home, we would make an official decision until discussing it in private. I asked him to start the measurements and my husband would have been home by time he was done, but I guess he felt he needed approval of a man to start the process. I am a woman who has her own established, job, and home. Too bad for your sexist ways, you lost out on business. Just because I am a woman does not mean I am incapable of making decisions when it comes to MY home. Thanks for wasting my time and insulting me. I would never recommend this company especially since we didn’t even make it to the quote.
From the Door to Door guy and in house representative. To the installers. They were all very polite and had great work ethic!

Honestly I don't even know how they are still in business. Starting with their deceitful salesman, damaged products, useless management and don't even get me started on their team of installation misfits.

By far the worst home improvement experience I could have ever imagined. If you are looking for windows, please do yourself a favor and listen to this review. This is not an isolated incident, which makes it all the more insane that this company is still in business. I wish I would have listened to the warnings I read online before I signed on the dotted line. Because once I signed, I was stuck. The experience that followed has been astonishingly incompetent. First I will start with the sales. I showed up at my house after work to find an Escalade parked in my driveway; license plate reads "ISOLDIT". That should have been my first sign to just walk away. Regrettably, I allowed him to pitch to my wife and I. Price started at over 50K for a house of windows. We kept saying no, until the price was reduced all the way down to around 20 grand. How you can reduce the price by over half in the matter of 20 minutes is a mystery to me. Salesman was very high pressure, basically wouldn't leave until we signed. We recorded the whole conversation, where he promised that the windows would never fail, that if we had problems, he would be there for the whole process for the life of our windows, how that he had been with Majic since day 1 and that if the owner were to step down, he would be taking his place. Wow what a joke. Long and short we signed, had him throw in the gold package service agreement, which basically says if your windows fail, you don't have to pay for the workers to come back and fix them. (Which in my opinion should be the standard when you are selling windows that have a lifetime guarantee) We were supposed to have 0 down financing for the first 2 years, then a low rate that was negotiated. We have had to contact their finance department at least 8 times because they continue to screw up the agreed upon financing terms. At first they were trying to use our payment to pay only the interest, even though it was 0% financing for the first two years. Now they are sending us checks in the mail every month to make up for their mistake and repay us the interest payments that we have already paid. I still have zero confidence in their finance department and doubt that this is the last we will hear about these issues. And remember that salesman that said he was going to be with us the whole time? That same guy won't take our calls, won't return calls, has been completely unhelpful with all of the issues references throughout. We have reached out to his manager and the manger after that; no one is helpful. They are incredibly rude and self-righteous, like their company being terrible is our fault. Onto the install. Had a crew at the house all day, they were nice enough and it SEEMED like everything was going well. At the end, we asked the installer how it all went, he said "smooth install", although one window was broken on install. Keep in mind this was in March 2019. So now they have to schedule another day to come back and fix the broken window. It is now December 2019 and I still do not have the window fixed. After the installers left, my wife and I did our own inspection as we were cleaning our brand new windows (they put stickers on every window that you have to peel off and then clean the residue off). That is when we noticed the gouges in the walls, the ripped weather-stripping on the windows, the knife cuts in the window sill (inside the house), the missing caulk, etc. So they send out another guy to check out all the damage and write up a follow up report. This guy was actually honest. He said that the job the previous crew did was totally unacceptable, and that he would personally be back out next time with his own crew to correct all of the problems, and reinstall the broken window, once it was in from the factory. Reinstall date came, they showed up 2 hours late, and they showed up without the window and the wrong weather-stripping. They said it would be months before they could come back. We waited. The 3rd reinstall day arrived. Guy shows up with the wrong weather stripping AGAIN. Seriously, this company exists. But at least he has the replacement window this time right? As he is removing the glass from the broken frame, he cracks the glass. So now the window frame that was broken on install, now has the glass broken on it as well. I asked how long it will be now, to which they respond, TBD. Keep in mind I have had to take off work every single time this garbage company has to reschedule their unsuccessful jobs. We are going on one year and they still haven’t completed the job. I will provide another unfortunate update when/if this project ever gets completed. There are so many other things, that I failed to include here, but bottom line is this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. YOU WILL REGRET IT. DO NOT THINK IT WON'T HAPPEN TO YOU. MAJIC IS NOT A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY. THEIR MANAGEMENT IS COMPLETELY INEPT AND REFUSES TO OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE.

It has been 11 MONTHS since my installation and I am STILL waiting for them to fix the windows and door wall trim. Even after all the delays through the summer - now they have canceled all 3 RE-SCHEDULE promises since October The windows were bowed and did not operate smoothly and the door wall was not installed or trimmed correctly because there is draft under the whole length of the bottom, enough to move a wrapping ribbon, it is worse than the old door wall. They even nailed the outside trim to the deck! DO NOT PAY at the installation if there are still open items, even if they say they will take care it everything – Lesson Learned

not good at all. it took 4 months to get an installation date. It has been 10 MONTHS since my installation and I am STILL waiting for them to fix the windows and doorwall trim. The windows were bowed and did not operate smoothly and the doorwall was not installed or trimmed correctly because there is draft under the whole length of the bottom, enough to move a wrapping ribbon, it is worse than the old doorwall. They even nailed the outside trim to the deck! DO NOT PAY at the installation if there are still open items, even if they say they will take care it everything – Lesson Learned The install was in January, they finally came out in June, did not have all the parts, reorder and schedule for July, canceled, could not get another appointment until the end of August, the parts were wrong and did not have enough trim or time to fix the outside trim, nothing done, rescheduled for October, canceled because they were busy at another job. I finally had an appointment for them to fix the doorwall trim this Tuesday and they called at to cancel because they were busy at another job. I was told that Matt would call Wednesday to reschedule, no call, I call Friday to try to get a date for the trim that was planned for Tuesday, he says he will not reschedule the trim and I will have to wait until they get the parts in for the other windows. I ask why I cannot get a reschedule of the Tuesday appointment that they canceled and he says he will not schedule it.

Door-to-door salesman tells me Majic is doing work down street and proceeds to tell me that yes they can side pillars and also look at installing shutters. I then get several phone calls to schedule an appointment for a quote. I restate what the job (in detail) is over the phone and confirm the day of the appointment I will be here at set time. Friendly rep turns up on time and tells me that they don't really do pillars, certainly not the size on my home, and having nothing to do with shutters. OK, so we wasted both our time but got worse... The scheduler then phones me up and has a go at me because my wife was not home for the quote...really?? Why on earth does my wife need to be there for a quote on 3 pillars? The scheduler tells me they sent a guy from a long distance away (when they told me they were in area) and tells me that I wasted their time because my wife was not at home. Rude, untruthful and unprofessional. I was explicit about the job 3 times - don't have a go at me for your mess-up. Sure they're responsive and punctual but this is all they had going for them. Unless you're going to be using these guys to replace every window in your house or re-side the house stay away from them. They are going to send a rep to give you the high-pressure pitch (which is only reason they wanted my wife to be there) and try and find another angle to squeeze more business out of you.

Started out with a door to door salesman who was in the neighborhood soliciting for business last October. Made arrangements for a quote on replacement of our aluminum siding trim on house and attached garage. Salesman shows up starts out with a quote of over $8000.00 for the job and then I stated that the door to door salesman told me the company was running a sale on the work so then price came down to $4900.00. Agreed to have work done beginning in the Spring. Got a call late February that they were ready to start job, was told crew would be out on Tuesday, took day off of work, got a call that they were finishing up another job and would be there Wednesday instead.. Again, got a call stating they would be out later in the afternoon or the next day. Finally started the job Thursday around noon, worked for a few hours and left. Said job would take 3-5 days, one guy showed up on Saturday and worked most of the day and left. Crew showed up on Monday and when we got home noticed some of the siding had ripples in it. . Called the Supervisor and told him about the situation, another crew showed up the next day and replaced the bad siding install and finished up the job. After job was completed and everyone got paid we noticed one side of the gutter is misaligned and the gutter guards are not properly installed back inside the gutters. Called Supervisor and was told someone would be out this Saturday to take care of the issues, still waiting...........Not a very professional company to deal with, I will not recommend this company to anyone. Was going to have an estimate on a Bay Window but will be looking elsewhere.

I had someone come out to give an estimate to replace 12 windows 5 of which were 35" x 35" about a year and a half ago. His first price was $17,000.00 and by the time he left he was down to $9,000.00. He would have sold me those windows if I was dumb enough to accept it at the $17,000.00 price, I asked him to leave. Of course as all vendors do they trash everybody else's windows. Then again a door to door sales person asked me to let them try to give me a price again because supposedly they fired the guys that were doing that. I had a sales person come to my house today giving them another chance and this one had attitude. I told him my situation and he said, you should have taken the $9,000.00 price cause each window cost at least a $1,000.00. I said even a 35" x 35" window, he said doesn't matter on the size. He didn't even measure and walked out the door. He trashed wallside windows because they were vinyl but in the same breathe he said they sold vinyl windows. I asked what the warranty was on them and he said 0, at least wallside warrants their windows. I wouldn't go with this company because they have crappy salesmen and probably even crappier warranty people.

It looks good. It is fiberglass and it is not a wood casement. It worked very well has cut down our heating and cooling considerably. The staff were very good and professional. They cut the price down to 75% from the original price. They run commercials on TV locally and they use a retired News Anchor as their commercial spokesman which gives them some credit. They have a 50 year guarantee and do a repairs for free in the first two years. We got good value for our services. We got much more than we actually paid for. They left the area nice and the installation was really good. It took the factory long to deliver the windows than what they said. They came on time and finished on schedule. I would use them if we had any windows to be replaced.
Description of Work: We use Majic Window which are sales and installation since they are separate from the factory. We made a purchase in November 2014 and had installations made in March. They replaced three sections of the living room picture windows.

How did it go? A salesperson came knocking on the door. We decided to get their estimate. Sales guy came out a few days later (this was back in October), we liked the deal, signed, etc. We were told someone would call to schedule the installation over the next couple of months. Mid December, the guys show up ay my home ready to begin working, while I was out of town. No phone call, no scheduling, they just showed up. Strike one. The actual work they did was pretty okay. We like the way the siding came out, and things look good. Mostly. In February / March, we started to notice some of the siding was falling off of the house. We called. And called. And called. Empty promises of returned phone calls, etc. April 30th (a Thursday), I sent an email to the company along with pictures of the siding falling off of the house. Someone actually called me back the same day! I was promised a phone call that Friday letting me know when this would be fixed. Guess what? No phone call was received on Friday. Or Saturday. Or Sunday. Or Monday. You get the idea. On Thursday May 7th, someone came out to look at the siding falling off. He took a piece of siding with him, and said he would return the next day to fix it. Here we are, 5 days later... and I still don't have anyone out to fix this. If they should ever bother coming out to actually finish the job... I'll update this review. Never again will I use this company again, and I strongly advise others to stay away as well. They are just not worth the time and effort required to have the job done properly. **UPDATE** June 16th, 2015. Guess what? Several more phone calls later, and several promises of someone coming out "next week", and Majic still hasn't made good on the promise to come and make things right here. Each time I call, I get another excuse as to why they haven't made it out, but rest assured, I'm at the "top of the list". At this point, we are considering filing a complain with the Better Business Bureau, and will start contacting lawyers as well in order to find out what our options are here. *** FINAL UPDATE *** Yesterday, on August 27th, after dozens upon dozens of phone calls, finally escalating up to top management, two service reps from Majic finally came out to fix the siding that was falling from the house, only 6 months after our initial complaint. I am glad that this nightmare is finally over... and while the siding job isn't perfect, there aren't pieces hanging from my house anymore causing an eyesore.
Description of Work: We had Majic come out to replace all the siding on the home, as well as cover the old wooden trim with siding. Maintenance free now!

We are sending this letter in addition to our notice of cancellation to make your company aware of why we chose not to use your services and why we will be informing those who ask to do the same. We initially called Majic out because we were told your fiberglass windows were more energy efficient and more worth their money than the Hansons windows we had already ordered. Majic seemed pleased to be able to knock a competitor out of the running and arranged for a salesperson to come out as soon as possible. Mr. Matt Masters, a builder for your company, came and attempted to wow us away with your product so we would make the switch. He explained he wanted to come instead of a salesperson because he could offer us more and wanted to ensure he had our business. He expressed the windows would be more costly than the vinyl windows we were going to purchase, but would be more worth our money. Our response was that if it not financially possible right now and perhaps we could do several of the windows and more a few months down the line. He then priced everything out and presented several options of how we could purchase our 15 windows and 1 door. We could wait and spend 20,000+ on the windows or we could accept the ?incredible deal? he was only giving now for $14,980. After speaking for a bit we thought we should just accept the deal now, despite not having all the kinks worked out, so we wouldn't miss this ?great opportunity?. We signed some papers and thanked Matt for his time. The following morning we met with a couple other companies that we had already scheduled before meeting with Majic. We explained the back story to these companies (all of whom also sold fiberglass) but they still wanted the opportunity to meet with us, despite us being sold on Majic's windows. Every quote came back slightly lower than Majic's $14,980. A surprise to us considering what a ?great? deal we got. We decided we were still going to use Majic's services because we were most impressed with the information Matt had presented ?even if we felt we were lied to about the true cost from the start. Since only one of us is currently working, we decided maybe it was too rash to decide to do all the windows at once. We decided we would do the high priority windows (about 6 windows total) and do the rest in a year when both of us were working. This would eliminate the need to finance and decrease the pressure on the both of us. When we called Matt to explain this, we were shocked by the response we received. We began to explain the situation and after saying which form we could send in he cut us off in the middle to discuss how he felt from a personal note. His voice changed to a very unprofessional tone as he explained that we were ?dishonest people? for doing this to him and Hansons and that he had to miss his sons hockey game and hat trick which was our fault etc. We started to explain we wanted to do some of the windows now and some later, as we felt this was what is best for our family. However, before we could finish we were cut off and he said he didn't want our business anymore and then hung up on us. While we can understand Mr. Masters was upset, it seems his responsibility to remain professional. Moreover, while Mr. Masters does claim to have status in Majic, it seems it is your company, Mr. Crim, and not his. We were prepared to give Majic our business, however, after the unprofessional manner in which this was handled we feel fortunate that Mr. Masters said he doesn't want to do business anymore. We have a responsibility to ourselves to do what is best for our family, not to make Mr. Crim happy. This makes us cautious, not dishonest. We are both children of independent business owners and thus understand, that as an owner, negative experiences do not always reach you. Our intent is to inform you of the situation because it seems you have a good product available but horrible ratings on every website we checked because of customer service. Initially, we thought this must be competitor ratings, but after our experience we see it clearly is not. Even if someone opts to decline your services, the impression left with them plays a role in shaping your company name. We hope this letter is not taken as a mere complaint, but rather appreciated as constructive criticism which you can use to improve customer relations.
Description of Work: Provided an estimate for my home. We were going to use their services but canceled--thank god. A letter I addressed to the owners is posted below and explains the whole story.

They did a really good job, the quality is good, they behaved well, I can't complain about any of that, their workers were a pleasure to deal with. The sad fact is I am giving them a C overall and a D on price because they were so ridiculously expensive it kind of overshadows everything else. My husband wanted to use them, I said it was too expensive...but I went along with what he wanted. All I heard for the next year was how ridiculously expensive he thought it was, and everybody he knows thought it was...etc. They called about something else I mentioned when they were here (they quoted me more than double of what I know I can spend to get a great quality job done for that project), and I told my husband there is no way this is happening. For one thing, why spend more than double when I can use that money for other renovation projects? For another thing, I am not listening to him complain for another year! So, sad but true, until Majic learns to have reasonable prices, I will go with the providers who give me a fair deal so that I don't waste money that I need for other things. They are totally not getting the other project I mentioned, I already found a great provider with a A review on here and that is who I am going to use when I am ready, another project is first, but I will be doing it soon, and I won't be using Majic.

We decided on the fiberglass windows after a one hour presentation with one of their salesmen. He was very helpful in picking out the kinds of windows (color and styles), and offered ways to save some money and still get the best look for our home. After we decided to order the windows, we were told it would be 6-8 weeks to have them made and schedule an install date. We had no problem with this, as we had other projects in the meantime. The install date was about 8 weeks after we signed the contract. We love the windows. However, we were less than impressed with the install crew (two men were assigned to install 12 windows and a 9 foot door wall). The day of install, the high temperature was 8 degrees. We were surprised that only two people had been sent to do all of this work on a frigid day. They claimed that was a normal practice at Majic. Needless to say, it was very cold in our home as they took two or three old windows out at a time. It took them almost 12 hours to install the windows and door wall! This is the only negative issue we had with Majic Windows. The product is very good quality, we are much happier with our new windows than we were after buying from a competitor. Even though the crew took a long time installing, and it was cold in our house for 12 hours, they did a good job installing the windows, and cleaned up etc.. We asked them not to put the old shutters back up (they were broken), but they put them up anyway. If we had a larger install crew, and it didn't take 12 hours of our life that we will never get back, we would have rated our experience higher.
Description of Work: We moved into our new home last year and one of the first improvements we wanted to do was new windows. After using another window manufacturer in our old house, we knew we wanted something better. We decided to go with Majic Windows because of the quality of the product compared to other manufacturers and a recommendation from a friend.

After a Home Remodeling show where we were interested specifically in fiberglass windows we made an appointment for Majic Windows to come to our home for a quote. They insisted both husband and wife must be present. Keith Wysocki came to our home at the appointed time. He used the standard 'heavy' sales techniques - use their first names often, find common interests, etc., etc. Took rough measurements and began his pitch of fiberglass over vinyl. We explained we didn't want vinyl, so there was no need for the convincing. Kept on with the presentation anyway - on one of the slides he even had a picture of Glenn Haege. He did not say that Glenn Haege endorsed the product - all he said was " And you know who THIS is ", which implied endorsement. (BTW - G. Haege does NOT endorse them.) He quoted over $50,000 for our windows (stating that would be his competition's price) but said if we signed that evening Majic's price would be approx. $37,000 After advising that we wished to get other quotes to compare, he became very belligerent and rude, accusing us of wasting his time. We asked that he leave a quote as we still wished to consider his product and he rudely said that his quotes were proprietary and he would leave us nothing. His attitude continued to further deteriorate. Long story short, we threw him out of the house. I have never been treated so badly and would suggest that if they must use these types of sales techniques then they are not the company a rational, moral person would want to deal with.

This project took them about 6 weeks to complete, and the whole time our house exposed to the rain, etc. The quickly removed the siding, but most days no one was working on anything. In the middle of the project the building inspector stopped work because they had failed to get a permit, and only after calling them multiple times over 2 days time did they finally get a permit so work could resume. Toward the end of the project, they called repeatedly for me to pay in full even though they hadn't completed actually put the eve troughs up. One of the things we were looking for was a reasonable guarantee to fix problems that might arise. They said they would guarantee it for 30 yrs, transferable to new owners. However, we recently had a small problem where the siding developed a small gap, and a small piece of trim needed to be fixed. After about 8 weeks of calling them once a week, they finally fixed it. Further, they act like it's such a hassle or make up any number of excuses about why it's taking so long. It wasn't exactly 'service with a smile'. Having had the work done, the product is good and the house looks great, but it felt like I was always an inconvenience to them. I shouldn't have to pester them non-stop for 2 months to get simple replacement work done, and the initial project shouldn't have taken anywhere near as long as it did.
Description of Work: Replaced siding on entire house, including eves, trim, underlayment insulation, and some of the plywood where it was rotted.

It got argumentative during the 2nd encounter, a phone call, after the first in-home visit. My windows are rotten and I need to do something about it. I don't have a choice to delay, but I do have options of the product I buy and the installation team. I want the best and I am willing to pay for it. You lost this time Majic! Thanks to Mr. Matt Masters with his argumentative approach. I didn't ask for anything outrageous, just a real price, references and a few pieces of information on the window that I do not remember from the initial demo and I cannot find online.
Description of Work: In May 2012, a knock on the door came of Majic people canvassing the neighborhood. Since I have wood windows that are rotting, I agreed to a demonstration where a Majic Sales Manager would come out and show me the product and provide a rough price. In that same week, Matt Masters, the Sales Manager & Builder came out showed me the Owens Corning fiberglass window and did a rough measure on the 37 total windows in my home. He started out at $80,358 then applied a 25% discount to bring it to $60,268 with an additional 10% to bring it into $54,242. Since I indicated this was the first quote and I had only seen the TV advertisements, I told him that I would do some comparison shopping in Fiberglass windows. I have since talked to WindowPro on thier Marvin Infinity line... When I called Matt back today, asking for these 3 things (to see the product again, references of people who have had them installed in my area, and to sharpen his price to something more definitive) he got argumentative, indicating that he could only give me a true price if I would sign the next time he came out. He has only been here 1 time, and I am not willing to sign until I know the following (1) the true price and (2) their are people that are truly happy with the product and the installation. Matt indicated that he cannot give references, as there is a Privacy Law in the USA that exists, and that he did not have signed affidavits to support these type of references. He argued with me, forgetting that I am a potential $54,000 customer (or less with anticipated price refinement). I hung up on him, as he didn't quite get that I am his customer... Maybe it was a bad day for him before I called... I now see other people on Angieslist complaining about this too. The product seems suberb, but the sales team is not willing to give you a few extra minutes to ask good questions and walk you through the process the right way. It cost them a big sale in this case. Additionally, who ever I choose, is bound to get other jobs in the neighborhood. Sucks to be you today, Majic!

The overall experience was good. I did feel like the time that it took to get the windows installed after deciding to do the work was a long time. It was approximately 10 weeks. But the quality of the product and workmanship was great.
Description of Work: Installation of 3 fiberglass windows and a sliding door wall.

It was a little high in price but I guess windows are; I think windows are way overpriced. Before you have Majic Windows out, you need to make sure you want new windows. They’ll offer a once time price and if you call them back you can’t get the same price. Their salesman didn’t pressure me but he made some valid points. I hope I never need new windows again.

It cost us way too much, and they were very expensive. I would recommend them because I love my windows. I guess I shouldn’t be complaining if they are great.
Description of Work: I used Magic Window Co Inc. for installing new window.
