The two installers arrive on time. After briefly looking over the job, they started working and hardly took any breaks until it was done. The challenge was that the room is small. They were very careful to prepare the subfloor perfectly before the installation began. They were very thoughtful about how the faux tile pattern would look from the entrance and so forth. As they worked, they were careful to keep the scraps picked up and to avoid any damage to the surroundings. Afterward they cleaned up everything---inside and out. We are very happy with the finished job.

I have had flooring installed many times before. Aside from the 50 year warranty on their exclusive Invincible flooring and how beautiful it was, I did not expect the actual service and installation to be so amazing! They used hepa filters virtually eliminating most of the usual dust you get from the usual contractors. This saved me a lot of grief in having to clean up what would be a desaster zone with most any other contractor or any contractor I have worked with before.

I went to the showroom to select the material. It took me quite some time to make a selection that I would be satisfied with. I had a step up into the kitchen renovated. The floor covering was laid in the kitchen and foyer. There were some minor items I wanted repaired which were done immediately. One major concern surfaced a few months after installation regarding a seam. A second installation occurred to to replace the kitchen floor covering and address the seam problem. All of the persons I worked with were polite and professional.

I needed carpeting for my father's condo. Having used Independent Carpet in my own home, I decided to return there. Everyone was kind and helpful, allowing me to borrow samples to check in home light. It took several weeks to get the carpet from the mill, then scheduling was easy. The installers were diligent and neat. When they completed the job, everything was ready to be replaced and lived in once again.

This business had a nice selection of carpet however, overall it was a poor experience. The sales person, Todd, was helpful until they received the first half of the payment. The install team overall did an OK job however they complained throughout the install about their own sales team and it's mismanagement. Also, I had to ask them to redo a section that ran about 3 stairs long because it was cut too short and showed a gap between the carpet and the wall. He said "yeah, I did see that but didn't think you would think it was too bad so I left it." They did fix it but I had to ask for them to redo it. We were putting carpet in a bedroom area that had not previously had carpet, so the doors needed to have the bottoms raised (some cut off) to accommodate for the height of the carpet plus pad. We went to the store (after making the initial down payment) to get an estimate of the height so we could prepare for the install and cut the doors ahead of time. Todd seemed to have NO idea as to how much to raise the doors. He just kept saying that we should not have to take off more than 1/2" even though we were getting the 7/16" (8lb) pad plus carpet. We asked for a sample of the pad and a small swatch of the carpet just to get an estimate and he said he would not be able to do that. Please keep in mind that I am aware that not every door would have the same amount cut off... I was just looking for an estimate of the total height of the carpet and pad so we could prepare. We spent 1/2 the day removing doors, cutting some off the bottoms and put all the doors back on. No, our sales person did NOT tell us that all the doors needed to be off for install. So, with the install guys in the house, we had to go back and take off all the doors again. Regardless, they said that Todd should have run through a "check off" list with us before install which had the info we were looking for as well as leaving the doors off. Needless to say,after the fact, we realized we did have a check off list in our pile of paperwork from Todd however, it was blank, he never reviewed it with us. We had also ordered a runner for the hall that was to match the carpet and just be bound on the edges. After paying for the entire carpet job, we realized we were overcharged for this piece. We were only overcharged by approximately $15.00. The sales person acknowledged the error and said he would speak to the management and get a check in the mail. After several weeks past and no check was received, we visited the store to inquire about the check. Todd said he just forgot about it and it would be in the mail soon. Not trusting Todd, we called the store and spoke with management. We were promised a check.... over 6 months later, still no check. Surprise, Surprise.

They came out the same day we called, were prompt, curteous and did a great job! Great value as well - i had expected it to cost more.

The salesperson was very patient with me as I had not purchased carpeting in over 15 years. He asked questions then made some suggestions that were helpful. I was able to take samples home to see how they looked with our furniture, walls, etc. There were a few carpets they did not have in-store samples to take home. They ordered them and had them sent to our home. The carpet was ordered on 7/14 and installed on 7/27. Everyone was very accommodating. We had Independent Carpet One install our kitchen vinyl flooring about 5 years ago and we will gladly use them again.

A very pleasant experience. Had a bit of scheduling problem but quickly resolved by the manager to our satisfaction. She handled the problem quickly and had the carpeting installed as promised. The installers, Jeff and Anthony, a father and son team, did a professional job. We were very pleased with our overall experience and will absolutely call on them for future floor covering needs.

He was very matter of fact and there was no playing around. I told what I wanted and he told me what was good for it and I picked it.

I asked for something pretty straightforward, and they showed me without any heckling or usual salesman technique.

It turned out that the carpet that we had selected based on the store sample was no longer available.

The owner himself came out to measure and they have good installers. It is a family owned business.

Our salesperson, Jeane, came to our home for a consultation. Jeane is so delightful, I just wanted to hug her. I felt like I've known her forever. She even went back to the store to get more samples and came right back to our house within a short period of time! My husband and I decided on the Tigressa carpeting and Healthy Living padding. The warranties and guarantees helped us to shop with confidence. The installers, Ted and Paul, did a great job. They were immediately responsive and addressed all my concerns. Jeane called a couple of days later to see how it went. The Tigressa carpeting is awesome! I am so happy!

I spent around $4000 on that work. They did really well but the carpet that we got from Shaw was defective. When they re-ordered it from the mills, they got the same lot. The installation was perfect but the defect was still there. The crew that was out here did an excellent job but it was a defect in the carpet and we got a discount from them. We were very satisfied. They were right in time. I have a job pending in the office and I will use them.

It turned out very good. We have had other carpet companies in and they were not able to lay the carpet correctly. With Independent, they layed it correctly. It looks great after nine years. There is nothing wrong with the carpet.

They did a beautiful job. They were very prompt, clean and thorough. I would go back again.

They did good work. The only thing was that they came back to do some repair work. They put another seam back in. I wasn't happy with what they did. Another guy came out and told me it was the best that could be done. Aside from that they did excellent work. They were courteous and punctual.

We had a positive experience with them. We went to their store. They were fine when we went to their store and we knew the owner at that time. The quality of the product was good. Their responsiveness, knowledge and professionalism were all good. Everything went fine. It was a different owner then.

It was a overall good experience. They hauled away the old carpet after they were finished and made sure everything was cleaned up as well. They moved furniture as well and were careful as they were moving things around.

The installers were professional, and the sales lady was my best friend till I signed the contract. The men hired by Independent Carpet to look into my concern and then complaint were bullies and were very frightening to me. I have not called again to resolve this because I am afraid of them. I do believe that at one time they were reputable, but I do feel that the quality and ability to listen to the customers is not there. There was no reason to go for my jugular regarding fuzz that is still coming off the carpet, and it sure looks like a smashed down old carpet right now. I would pay a few extra bucks and go to a small independent company, which I was going to do but I heard independent carpet stood behind their product. They did not stand behind their product with me and it will be many years till I can dump this junk and go somewhere were the carpet is good and I will be treated with respect, and not frightened and intimidated because of carpet. I am still reeling from this.

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE LAYING OF THE CARPET. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND GOT RIGHT TO WORK. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR AND THERE ISN'T ANY BUNCHING OF THE CARPET. FOR THE PRICE AND LABOR WE WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE THEM AGAIN.

I THINK THIS COMPANY IS GREAT. THEY ARE VERY REPUTABLE AND VERY FRIENDLY. THEY WERE ABOUT TEN MINUTES LATE, NOTHING TOO BAD. THE PRICE WAS ALSO FAIRLY REASONABLE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
