This toilet had been broken for over a year. It's a half bath that we just stopped using because our plumber moved and we hadn't found a new one. So I appreciated all the thoroughness that the plumber showed in making sure everything worked well and that there weren't any leaks in the pipes and basement. He was extremely conscientious about everything from cleaning up to making sure I was thoroughly satisfied. I asked about another problem that I'd had intermittently with the pipes that drain my laundry tubs and run under the cement basement floor. Another plumber told me he would have to dig up the basement floor and replace the drain because it had been snaked to many times so it was broken (at a cost of $1500). Universal Plumbing said that wasn't necessary. I could simply call them to snake it out if it ever became clogged in the future. The price they quoted for that was reasonable. So it's impressive that they told me the truth and didn't try to replace the drain.

Provider showed up and wrote a competitive estimate I will use for service work, but just wouldn't honor the plumbing coupon.

They were able to come out the same day that I purchased the deal. They completed the work in about an hour and a half. They cleaned up well and left no mess behind. The experience with them was fine.

Took advantage of Angie's Big Deal for $200. worth of plumbing for $99. Planned on having a toilet tank 'workings' replaced and bathroom sink unclogged. Dennis came and did the estimate and he was on time, professional and personable. He looked around at our 60 year old non-updated house's plumbing and made suggestions and recommendations. Brought to our attention that one of our faucets was not up to code. We were impressed by his suggestions with no hard core selling tactics...he was just letting us know what he observed and that we may want to consider having done at some point. He wrote up an estimate, at our request, of some of the more vital repairs we should have (still without pressuring us or trying to coerce us into more work), and we decided to follow through and have Universal Plumbing do the job. We are so glad we did. Dennis came back in two days and proceeded to get down to business. He did a fine job and clean up (more than we expected) was excellent. He let us know, at all times, what he was doing and why. We have a large, friendly dog that we didn't want to leave outside all day while the repairman was working, but Dennis assured us that the dog was fine and no problem. We are very happy with the work that was done and will have them back when we need any more plumbing work (which we probably will need). I would recommend Universal Plumbing and Sewer to anyone needing plumbing services.

It turned out fine. They came out and did the work about a week after I bought the big deal and there was an additional cost on top of the deal because I had to have a part that was not covered there. I would not say that there was a bad part about the experience because we made the appointment and they came out. They checked everything that they were supposed to and found that there was a part that I needed. It was ordered and they came back the next week to put it on.

Garage door had a loose chain and made tons of noise. I was pleased with the immediate response and the professionalism of this company. Serviceman, Brian, was here one and a half hours after my call. He advsied the potential problems, identified the specific service need and was finished within 45 minutes of arrival. I will call them again, when the need arrises!

Dennis arrived on time and quickly assessed what was needed, then promptly went to get supplies. He returned at the time promised and got to work, having to work around another contractor who had come at the same time because the other gentleman mixed up his appointments and changed his appointment time with me at the last minute. Dennis was cheerful and collaborative about the overlap, even calming down the other contractor who was upset that both men needed to work in the same room (the other contractor told me he would be working out of a different room but that changed that at the last minute too). Dennis was clearly competent and knew his business but it was his kindness and accommodating nature that make me want to use this company again. With moving, selling my prior home and repairs and issues to be resolved popping up all over the place, I was stressed out and at the end of my rope. Dennis' calm demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond to make the service visit a success made a big difference to me. He definitely won my confidence that day. He hooked up the dryer and leveled my stackable washer/dryer, replaced the disposal and repaired the crack under the sink. Dennis, the installer arrived earlier than expected, calling ahead to make sure it was OK. He introduced himself, looked at what needed to be done, decided on the best location to install the unit, and from there it went very smoothly. Today, I looked to make sure there we no leaks and there aren't any. So, job well done! I also know it works because my water tastes amazing.

I paid for the deal and then found out they don't service the area where I live!!

I was very pleased with the company. They scheduled two appointments and showed up promptly for both. They were very professional and explained the process that was going to be done to fix the problem.

It was more of an inspection than anything. It turned out alright.

.Unfortunately they had to come back 2 days later and fix a drain they broke. Now i have to have drywall repaired in bathroom and also other the side of same wall in a bedroom!

He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable about his business. We plan to use his services again.

The plumber was extremely polite, emailed an identification photo and name prior to the initial visit, repaired the toilet and did the assessment on the first visit, installed the hot water heater and shut-off valves on the second visit. The first visit was about an hour; the second about two hours. When complete, he checked that all faucets and toilets were working and draining properly. I also bought a drain cleaner from him but have not had the time to personally clean all my drains at this time. He was very informative, explaining how using the blue toilet drop-ins into the tank actually ruined the lining of the pipes, which I was not aware of.. He had one leak under a hose bib in the basement ceiling which he used a bucket to contain the leak while he worked on it. The only minor negatives with this visit were that he never left his name on the hot water tank or removed the bucket and soldering flakes from the floor when he left. He also said that they had magnets with their company name and phone number on but was currently out of them and would have the office mail me one, which never happened. He provided much instruction on the care of the hot water heater, leaving a manual on it. I am to drain it on a regular basis but have not tried that myself yet.

The provider was asked to come look at a plumbing issue in our basement. The first guy that came out took one look at the pipe in basement and said we needed to rip it up and replace it. Said it would cost around $2000. I was not satisfied with the lackluster effort, so I called them back and they sent another plumber over who was much better. He actually looked at a few things and ran a few tests. Ultimately, he said a replacement was not necessary and basically said it was due to extreme cold. Was disappointed that they would send someone over first with the effort he gave. I also ended up using my $200 voucher for not much service. Overall, not a great experience.

Plumber arrived as scheduled and even sent a picture of himself so we knew who would be arriving. Les was very personable and professional. The work was performed efficiently with absolutely no mess. I will definitely call Les again to resolve a plumbing problem.

They were very nice they did not have the part so he ordered it and came back. He even came back on a saturday to put it in. There was no push or hard sell to have more work done.

This was an Angies special deal for a Toilet Tune-up and Home Plumbing Inspection. The toilet has been filling very slowly, which was one of my concerns. After looking in the tank and at the adjustment of the water flow, the plumber said I could have some debris in the fill valve. It may have to be cleaned out. He did not clean the rim flush holes or replace the flapper eventhough this service was part of the deal. Maybe it wasn't necessary. My bathroom basin needs a new pop-up stopper, the one I has is unrepairable. I asked for the price of removing my old faucet and replacing it with a new faucet and drain stopper. He quoted a price of $298.00. I told him wanted to buy my own faucet. He then reduced the price by $65.00 and said I would not have to pay a service call fee because I paid $39.00 for this inspection. He did a thorough inspection and was very polite. Recommendations were made for preventive maintenance, like replacing the laundry washer hoses and the hot water tank. I felt the price of removing and replacing the faucet was too high, so I checked it out on the internet. Sure enough, the prices varied a little but none were as high as his price. I will get the work done for $125 by another company that had good reviews.

It was OK. It ended up costing more than the Big Deal. I had no problems with the scheduling and communication with them was good. He arrived when he said he was going to be here. I have no complaints and would use their service again if needed.

The plumber Doug showed up on time and was very friendly. He pulled my toilet to see what was going on (it was leaking from the base). He determined that the toilet was not set properly and placed a new wax ring (on top of the old one) and replaced the toilet. When the toilet was replaced he reapplied some white caulk which ended up looking sloppy. I also asked him to take a quicklook at my upstairs toilet. The toilet dosen't flush consistenly and I was hoping there was a quick fix or advice he could provide me. He assesment was that it was just a lazy toilet. The total charge was $240 -$30 with an Angie's list coupon for a final cost of $210.

They were wonderful they came and checked the plumbing and fixed one of my toilets. They were informative, professional, and courteous.

He was a complete gentleman. He was on time and did his inspection, besides fixing one of my toilets that kept running.

Les, master plumber, on time, extremely knowledgeable. Explained all proposed work, very polite, professional. Took less time and cost than estimated. I'm a senior alone. Was very comfortable with him here. Big issue.
