Sam and his crew hooked us up with a whole house generator and we couldn't believe how professional they were. Job done in a matter of hours and cleaned up as well.

Work went well. Sam and his crew figured out the fault. They traced the problem to be in the power line from the grid to my house. They got in touch with the powers that be and reported what the diagnostics showed. The fault was confirmed and repaired that morning.

Our sump pump stopped working after 2 years of Universal Plumbing installing a brand new sump pump and it flooded our basement. The sump pump was still under a 5 year warranty but the labor wasn't. We had to pay $424 in labor (1 hours work) just two years after they installed a brand new sump pump.

Arthur was knowledgeable and tried different approaches, finally pulling the toilet to use his machine clear the blockage. Reinstalled the toilet and took the time to shim to eliminate any wobble. Cleaned up after the job and was very professional. I’d highly recommend.

Had a " snaking " done ( of the sewer port outside as well as the shower ) at first before the services today; obviously... that didn't solve the issue. Service today was for Hydro jetting of the sewer line as well as camera scope of were line. I believe the Hydro jetting today was successful. Pleased with the very prompt service. Cost : $800.00

Where to begin on how awful this company is. Let me start with Nice shouldn't be confused with Competent. I spent over $30,000 with Universal Plumbing. They displayed an ineptness and lack of consideration that has me baffled. I had a sewage line run into a holding tank under my shed. When the backflow preventer activates, water is supposed to reside here before being pumped elsewhere. To me, the depth of the pipe and where the float for the ejector pump resides seems a bit too low. Therefore, my concern was that the pump might not even turn on. I also asked how much water the well can retain. Tony, the designer of the system, said "I don't think there's any way to determine that". I mentioned math but that was lost on him as his purpose for being there was to try to upsell me on an additional pump and more labor. I doubled down and questioned, "why would need an additional pump, will this not be enough?". The guy who designed the system had no answer and looked at me with surprise that I questioned another pump. The continuous attempt at upselling is disgusting. Unfortunately, I can see people falling victim to their predatory ways. Needless to say, this isn't what you want to hear when you spend money both on fixing a potential flood issue and remodeling your basement. I suggested to Tony to block the backflow preventer to emulate a flood event and fill the system with water to emulate rainfall. He was baffled by the concept yet eventually thought it was a good idea. He said he'd be out on December 16th to test out what they built. He then sent me a quote for $3,198. This was what I was to pay to see if they had a clue what they were doing. Here we are roughly 5 weeks later, and they haven't been out to prove what they installed actually does the job. I have called and spoken to Dawn countless times who assured me he would call me back. I have also sent emails, left messages, but anyone of any authority is ALWAYS out of the office. I'm left to believe that them not showing up simply solidifies their incompetence. On an earlier date prior to the system installation, I had them come out to inspect the lines running from my house. The price quoted was $1,000. When they left, they tried to charge me $1,700. The kicker is once they installed the system, they realized they were completely wrong on where a good portion of the plumbing was going. Beyond that, they managed to severely damage a decorative step leading to the shed, damaged my natural stone walkway (placed all the dirt on it without laying wood over it), and even managed to tear up an area of my front yard they shouldn't have been, with their equipment. Tony said he would arrange cement work for the 8'x8' hold in the center of my driveway where a second backflow preventer was installed. Apparently, he forgot. When I asked him about it, he rushed to call someone who would constantly ignore him (his words). I tried numerous companies to see if they could fill the void, they all said their equipment is done for the year. Now I must go through winter with a gravel driveway section that makes it difficult to clear snow off. That's the least of my worries at this point. Unfortunately, I could add more but this is already longwinded. I must work on locating a new company to prove Universal got lucky on the build of their system, and possibly a lawyer to recover costs should the system prove as inept as they are. If you have an awful neighbor who asks for a recommendation, I'd recommend Universal Plumbing. If you have any respect for yourself, your home, or your wallet, I'd look elsewhere.

Same day response. Professional and courteous plumber. This was a difficult problem to diagnose because the leak was behind a plaster ceiling. Located and repaired the pipe, which involved opening up sections of a ceiling. Good cleanup after the job. Highly recommended.

It could not of went better. All the work was able to get completed. Some parts were not on hand and another technician drove them out to the house so the work could be completed. We have had Universal to the house a few times now and would recommend them to anybody needing any plumbing work done.

I called in the morning and they had a technician out before 2pm. Job was performed efficiently and we are very happy!
