Requested quote to replace two existing sump pumps with pumps that I had already purchased. Quoted $450 to do this. Mind you, this is labor only. For an existing system that is essentially plug-and-play, this work could be performed in about an hour, so the price quoted is completely out of the ballpark.

Our Water Heater would not ignite and the fault code on the water heater control was indicating that the system was in lockout. Contacted Universal Plumbing & Sewer to come out and troubleshoot the problem. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. She was able to schedule a technician to come out the same day. I received a call 50 minutes before the promised window to let me know that the technician was on his way (How often does that happen these days?). The technician, Mike, arrived at our home and was very professional. Fortunately, the problem was resolved by cleaning out the Burner Assembly and no part replacement was required. Mike had our water heater up and running quickly. In fact, he was finished and out the door prior to the beginning of the scheduled arrival time. Mike also walked me through what he did to fix the issue in case this ever happened again and he willingly answered all my questions. Total cost was $108 ($39 Visit Fee & $69 Diagnostic/Cleaning). I will definitely keep Universal Plumbing in mind the next time I need plumbing services.

Everything went smoothly. I would definitely hire them for any and all future plumbing issues. I recommended them to a co-worker due to their excellent work, however unfortunately the woman who answered the phone at the business was curt and rude to my coworker. I did not encounter that, but they need to be aware of it since it lost them a potential customer.

Unable to clear blockage in line running to sump pump although he tried from both ends, Billy said. I was very disappointed with him when he said he could not clear the standing water. I asked him to siphon, pump or vacuum up the standing water & he said could recommend a company to do that, but he could not. I had a friend come over and use his wet & dry vac to remove the standing water. I thought that clearing the drain line might be a problem, but I never thought just removing the standing water would be an issue. You would think if they can't get the line cleared to drain away the water, they would have the tools to at least remove the water.

Everything was good. The service was good. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The prices were a little high than I thought. It worked. It was okay and he did a good job.

They have done the job, but they charged me too much. I paid $39 for the big deal, but they came in, and charged me $99 and the second time, they charged me $169 and they charged me $295 the third time they came in. There was some complication because we bought a cartridge from another company. The shower system could not work on our tile, so she had to drill and she did not bring the right tool. They came 3 times. After they finished the job, I told them the water kept dripping, and they ignored that and didn't return my phone call. I am not happy about that, and I will not use them again. Last time we only had a drainage problem and they did an okay job, that is why I used them again. The way they charged was more than expected, and they didn't respond my phone call and that is not nice. I am not going to hire them again. They came here 3 times, and they were not ready to do the job the fourth time. They charged me every time they came to my house. They said it was travel charge or whatever. Their pricing is horrible. The punctuality was good. I did not have any problem with that. I am not going to use them again at all.

I was called ahead of time that the service technician was finishing up his last job and would arrive at my home early. The service technician, Mark, showed up about 45 minutes after the call. He advised that the valve to the hot water heater was very old and not to code and would need to be replaced. He confirmed the price and I was fine with it. Overall, the work was done exactly as expected with no problems. He was finished in about 2 hours. Mark was very nice and helpful answering many of my questions about the job.

I sent an inquiry Thursday, and by this morning I had a brand new sump pump. Professional, polite and efficient. Will definitely hire Universal again! Thank you so much!

This was our first experience with this company and we were very pleased! We called them about 1 pm today and within an hour or so they had sent two guys. Our kitchen sink was backing up and our regular plumber was not available. Brooks and Paul arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. Brooks snaked out our sink and explained his process. We were going to have another sink snaked but he inspected it and said it really didn't need it. This company hires very honest, skilled and reliable plumbers. We will definitely call this company with any plumbing issues we have in the future.

We purchased a 3 year service agreement for $39 which included an annual house inspection and 1 service from among 3 choices. The original service date was pushed back by one day because of weather problems after they called and checked if that was convenient. We had no problem with that. On the backup date, Billy arrived punctually on time and was very courteous and professional. He reviewed his impressive credentials which made us more comfortable with his service. He took his time to do a thorough house inspection which lasted around an hour. He explained everything he was doing, answered any questions we had, and made recommendations for possible repairs. At no time did he pressure us or use scare tactics to get us to sign up for additional services that weren't included in the service agreement. He completed a toilet tune-up for no additional cost and even included a part for which he was entitled to charge, but did not. After reviewing his recommendations, we had him repair a leak in our master shower which he did for an additional $75. He did a thorough job, cleaning out the pipes before resealing the connection. He used quality materials. We were very happy with his professional approach, extensive knowledge, and low-key approach. We were alerted what to look for in the future and will definitely rehire this company, and specifically Billy, to do future plumbing repairs or upgrades.

He was very helpful and honest. Said that due to the tank being 13 years old and not knowing if it had ever been flushed (was a rental home prior to my purchase) he didn't recommend flushing as it may cause more harm than good. Also suggested requesting a refund from Angie's List as he was not able to due any service. Appreciate his looking out for my interests and bottom line.

They did a great job doing a maintenance clean-out of our main drain line. Explained what they were doing in detail and answered all questions. Very courteous and professional. We do this every 2 years and will definitely use them again.

It went great. From making the appointment on the phone, "who was very pleasant and accommodating." to Les who came out to do the work." Les was very pleasant, knowledgeable and very informative. I need other things done in the near future and will be calling back to Universal to help.:)

Very quick to answer the phone and rescheduled quickly after hours when I had to change my appointment due to an emergency. The service men were very courteous and explained my options and the why behind the cost. The work was done quickly and the area was cleaner when they finished than when they got there.

I requested to have someone give me a quote on a Friday. They were able to come on Tuesday and gave me a reasonable quote. I was very happy that they were able to do the work the same day and finished in a timely manner.

We have had them out a number of times and have always been very satisfied. Mike and Paul came to do our repairs on January 22nd for our toilet problem. This has been an ongoing issue that we had another company unsuccessfully attempt to fix. Universal was able to find the problem, fix it, and cleaned up. We also use Universal's Plumbing Service Agreement and have been highly satisfied with it. We highly recommend Universal!
