They gave me a great deal on the pump and combining all the services, while not cheap at all, saved money on the long run and gives me piece of mind (having just re-finished the basement.) Took most of the day. Very professional.

It went very well. They evaluated all the different plumbing areas in my condo. They did a full write up and made some good recommendations. There was no pressure to do the work then and I do plan on following up with them on a few of those.

They came on a Friday, thought it was fixed, but the issue returned. After I made sure my septic was not the cause of the issue on the following business day, they immediately came back and fixed the issue for good. They did not charge me on the second visit. I can recommend them and will use them again if needed in the future.

The contractors were very responsive to our plumbing issue and did the work effectively and professionally. I would recommend the company.

ok , did not do plumbing inspection

When I made the appointment, it was for the following day....but then I got a call that someone could actually make it later the same day! That was great customer service. The men they sent were extremely professional and went beyond the nine dots to come up with a solution that would work to unclog an extremely stubborn clog. I am highly referring this company.

I got estimate from them to replace maine sewer pipe for $3800. When I called them back to hire them to do the job they sent different guy who told me that the person who gave me the estimate doesn't work for them anymore and he will have to give me a new one. Instead of original $3800 they wont me to pay $6198 for same thing plus a lot of new conditions stating that they are not responsible for and a lot of "if's" that I would have to pay if it will be discovered during the excavation. They would not grant the original estimate! I had to take out a loan to pay for this project and counted to get it done. Now it's different price. It's bed business. If you hire wrong people to work for you it's you responsibility! That's the risk you take when you open a business.

It went very well. Actually, it was supposed to rain that evening and I called them to make sure my broken sump pump is replaced before rain starts and Paul did come right on time and he replaced my old sump pump immediately and it drained my well quickly. It saved me ton of work. and also Paul was very professional and he did excellent job overall.

I found Universal Plumbing through Homeadvisor.com. I live in Arizona and needed the sump pump replaced for a property at my rental property in Clarkston, Michigan. The dispatcher who answered the call was so friendly and helpful. She let me know about a deal I could take advantage of on Angie's List that would give me a great discount on the price of the sump pump- $359 to install sump pump including warranty. I ran into some issues on the Angie's List website making the purchase but the manager at Universal Plumbing stepped in to assist and they made sure I was getting the deal they promised. They set up the service appointment and afterwards, the technician called me and was very professional. He explained everything he had done and some additional helpful information. This company is a true professional operation and the entire staff is amazing and create a seamless experience for the customer from all points of contact. I am definitely going to recommend them to my friends/family that live in the area and will use them again for my rentals.

I was very impressed with this company, for a couple of reasons. First, they gave me a window of arrival. The person did not show up in that time window. However, at a point near the end of that time period, I did receive a phone call letting me know that my service provider was running a little late and he would be there shortly. He arrived approximately 1 hour later, which was fine, as I knew about the delay. When Tim showed up, I was expecting him to snake out the drain, which has been done several times in the past. Instead, he looked at everything and then ended up using a hand-held plunger, which cleared out the drain almost immediately! He then flushed it with a lot of hot water and re-plunged it several times to 'clean' the pipes a little more. He showed me how I could do that in the future, and told me I could find the mini-plunger at Home Depot! He also offered to snake the pipe if I wanted, but let me know that the snake could damage the pipes, which no one has told me before. In addition, he told me the reason my bathroom sink keeps draining is because my stopper was installed with too narrow a gap, and the water was draining too slowly from my sink. To fix it, he just did not fully install the stopper, but left it loose, so that it would not inhibit the flow of water from the sink. In future, I could have another stopper installed, and he spoke with me about the cost of having that done. It has been nearly a month, and my sink is draining perfectly! THANKS JOE! :) As for price, I have historically used another 'A' rated plumber to address my plumbing needs. However, when I called to ask them how much it would be, their base charge was $165, to upwards of $230. I was able to have Joe come out with their offer for only $137.75. Their standard rate ($145, I believe) is much lower than other providers.

I had my sump pump go out on me in the middle of the night.. I called their office at 6am to see when the soonest available appointment would be. They scheduled it within hours (9-11am). He showed up when they said they would. He did the work in a VERY timely fashion, and flawlessly. He had a very pleasant and professional attitude. He represented their company well.

The service rep, Fred, was professional and very pleasant. Answered to my satisfaction all my questions about the service for which I signed up. Did a thorough inspection of all my household plumbing connections and recommended one replacement. I could not be more satisfied.

Fred arrived at my home prepared and ready-to-go! He was extremely knowledgeable. He did not even seem to be bothered by the fact that I am an "A-type" personality and riddled him with questions. He, promptly, cleared the drain and videotaped the area to rule out any other potential problems. The only negative I can attest to is that Fred is a Spartan:-( GO BLUE!!! LOL.

I noticed that Universal Plumbing & Sewer had an Angie's List exclusive offer for hot water heaters. After a few phone calls to other places, it was clear that Universal had the best price. The plumber who did our installation was very nice and professional. We needed the exhaust venting widened from 3" to 4" (per code), so that cost a bit extra. The water heater that they installed is high-quality. Altogether, we are very satisfied with the work that was done.

The plummer tech Fred was EXTREMELY PLEASANT and PROFESSIONAL!! and did a great job.. I would absolutely recommend this company for any pluming needs. Thank You Fred !!!!!!!

Well they did very well, but the guy who came out was very knowledgeable and very good and on his recommendation I had them do the work. The first guy who came found some problems with the plumbing. We'd had the basement redone and he gave me a good price to repeat it and repair what has been done correctly but when they sent the man out to do the work he really didn't seem to know very well what he was doing. The plumber whom they sent to do the work, I guess in the end he did it correctly but mixed up as to what needed to be done. He didn't seem very knowledgeable. I found that's the problem with big companies, the band that they send out on point who looks at the work is one person, the person they send out to do the actual work is usually not too skilled.

Paul, Universal Plumbing Technician, showed up at the promised time. Paul was very empathetic to our situation; he was professional and went to work right away. Upon opening the clean-out fitting in the basement Paul experienced a less than desirable situation and was somewhat saturated with the build up of waste-line goop. He took it in stride, cleaned himself up and went right back to work. After about an 30 minutes he finished his work - pipes are clean! Both wife and I are very happy (NOTE: this caused quite a bit of marital stress prior to me admitting defeat). Paul also made some recommendations on re-plumbing a few fittings as well as pouring hot water down the kitchen sink once per month. Will definitely use Universal Plumbing for all future needs.
