Being first time homeowners, waking up to standing water in our basement was very nerve-wracking. After deciding to call a plumbing company with no answer, we gave Universal Plumbing a call and they literally had a technician (Phil) out to take a look within the hour! My boyfriend and I both took work off and greatly appreciate the quick response time! Phil was awesome and so personable AND took the time to explain everything (a couple times). By the time the first company called us back, Phil had came, fixed, and answered our million and one questions with great knowledge and patience; even stopped as my boyfriend was running out the front door to try and ask one more question I forgot. Although we do have to have a hydro cleaning done, we are so bummed Phil doesn't do those calls! I will be referring this company to everyone I know. Thank you over and over!

Fine. The plumber [Jonah] arrived right on the time promised. He first tried to repair my old faucet, but the leak wouldn't fully stop. The he efficiently replaced the old inline on/off valve to my outside faucet. Jonah was very efficient and professional.

Very professional, kept us informed along the way, worked with our insurance adjuster to meet their requests. Cleaned up each night.

The tech arrived on time, was very friendly and patiently answered all of our questions. He did a great job and cleaned up after he was done. I would recommend Universal to all friends and family who had any plumbing problems.

HE NEVER CALLED OR EMAIL ME THAT HE WAS COMING

The work went very well. Everything was done in a highly professional and friendly manner. The person sent out, Mark M., was on time, friendly, professional, consciencous of my property, and very thorough. The work was done in the time quoted and at the price stated. Mark even discovered some potential problems that were not readily seen and he suggested what course of action could be taken to fix them in the future. I would definitely hire the company again for any future plumbing work I may need to have done.

Mike quickly identified defective solenoid as the culprit. As that part costs more than a whole new faucet kit, we opted to have Mike and Tommy install a new faucet that we provided. Fast, professional and friendly gentlemen. I highly recommend Universal Plumbing & Sewer. They do great work!

Went fine. Came and snaked out drain in basement but then realized it was outside. So snaked out sewer main outside. We have had previous problem in the basement so figured that was it. Price of drain cleaning is $145.00 so I purchase with a coupon that said if you pay on Angies list - you could get it for $137.50. I failed to realize that there was also a coupon for $30.00 off any service over $100.00. That would have been cheaper. Seems like when I called them first - they could have pointed that out. Quess I was in to much of a hurry to get it done. Needed to do laundry.

Fantastic. I was called within minutes of buying a package for a 40 gallon tank and installation. The tank was installed the same day that I was called. Jeff, the serviceman, was both punctual and pleasant to deal with. He told of the process that he would be following and the timeframe for his work. He laid tarps down to protect our carpet in the basement and on the steps. Jeff finished well within the given timeframe and cleaned up after himself.

They were out the next day, earlier than expected. I did get a call first letting me know they were on their way. Paul and J.T. showed up and got to work. At some point the owner, Les, came as well. They ended up being able to clear the blockage another way, without having to jackhammer out concrete to repair the pipe, and saving me a lot of money! It's really nice to have a company that's not going to do what will cost you the most amount of money, and even when coming out for a job, will look for better ways for their customer. Also, all of them were very easy to talk to, and are able to explain things very well so that I felt comfortable and like they know what they're talking about!

I never got to meet a tech they did not show up.

The work was excellent!. I highly recommend them, I've tried several plumbers over the years. They are coming back to do more work.

A lot of money for little work. I felt like I was being way over charged

Their very good company, they came when they said they would come, their very professional, they explained what they are going to do before they they did and what effects it may or may not have, he even gave advise and suggestions to kind of help the problem from coming back or minimizing it which he didn't have to do. Suggested some changes I could make in regard to the plumbing in my basement to help out, they are very good company, I would use them again. He had no problem with trying to make me feel comfortable with what he was about to do, I didn't get the feeling he was up to non sense, trying to mess me over. Not knowing what to expect, what could have been causing the problem, it took a little while to unplug the drain down there, He was very professional he wasn't up to non sense didn't give any excuses or anything like that just he came did his job.

They were here on time, they got here as soon as they could, they cleaned up, they didn't leave any mess.

They didn't take in to account which may very well not been no because I had tell them about it, because I have a tile floor in the kitchen they did have a drill bit that was big enough to make the hole for the type of line that I wanted installed they had a drill bit for a much thinner piece of equipment slip through the hole and the line that I had purchase that I want use was bigger than the drill bit that they had so I gave them one of my drill bits but he had tried with his drill bits but he had cracked my tile but he did his best to patch it up, tried to silicone the piece on, but that was the only thing if any went wrong. Very professional very very professional, their employee's are respectful, they clean up which like I said was very important and they tried to give you advise and they walk you through what they are going to do before they do it which is what he did he let me know exactly how he was gonna go about cutting into the existing water line, he even explain how he was going to do everything, he was here promptly, I think they came within couple of hours after I made the phone call. I like the company, it's the company I will call if I have a plumbing issue I would call them first I guess.

First visit line was snaked and unblocked but was advised by technician (Sean) that hydro flush would be necessary next time. Sure enough blocked again a week later, got hydo flushed. The three very pleasant technicians advised that although the pipe was clear through to the street sewer the camera had shown a snag point in a lead joint under the house. A week later blocked again, Universal sent their sewer expert to inspect, he (Fred) thoroughly inspected the system with a camera and cleared the blockage by flushing. He confirmed the original diagnosis and advised how we can protect against any further blockages. No charge for this visit.

One of the best experiences with a plumbing service! The company sent someone (Mark) out immediately. The service was completed quickly and without any additional mess. Mark was professional and explained what additional things he might have to do in order to solve the problem (which gratefully were not needed but appreciated knowing). The cost was $135 but then received a discount for finding the company through Angie's List which brought the cost to $105! I would not hesitate to call Universal again and in fact when updating my powder room they will be the company I call to install my new toilet. Great job Mark! Thank you!

The guys came early but the receptionist called to let me know so it was ok. They were courteous and friendly. The job was done properly and suggestions where made for future work that I should have done. But there was no pressure, just suggestions. When I am ready for the future work I will definitely call Universal Plumbing.
