This is the second time we have had Universal Plumbing install new/replacement toilets in our home. Our experience the second time was just like the first - they are a great company to work with. Adam K, the technician, was prompt, professional, courteous and friendly. He did a great job installing the toilet and made sure that everything worked properly and neat and clean before he left. I will definitely use Universal for our next plumbing job.

It went great. Michael was able to get to my house in under 2 hours from the time I called to request service. He was very professional, reasonable, fixed my problem very quickly. He noted that my problem was pretty straight forward and he wouldn't recommend extensive invasive services since they weren't necessary, which I appreciated, and he also helped fix an unrelated problem (loose faucet handle) that he noticed. Highly recommend.

Mark diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced the leaking pipes with new ones that are better designed and much less leak prone. He showed me the new pipes before he installed them and pointed out the rubber gasket that makes these pipes a vast improvement over the ones that they replaced.

Price was at the high end of comparative costs. The second part of the job was quoted at $300. It was fixed for $75. The responsiveness grade has to do with my purchase being lost in delivery. It took over a week with no response before I called them. I didn't receive confirmation as to whether it was an A.L. or contractor problem. Assuming it was the contractor.

It went very well. Mark was incredibly knowledgable, polite and explained my options. I've never had a plumbing company as well mannered or efficient. He even gave tips and pointers. Really, cannot say enough kind words!

Universal scheduled an appointment for me between 11am - 2pm, and they called 30 minutes prior to the plumber arriving to let me know his arrival time. Mark, the plumber, arrived as planned and was very professional and courteous. He took care to keep our house clean while he worked, and the installation was done very well and quickly. I will definitely use Universal for my next plumbing job.

As well as it could have gone with situation and digging up the ground. They pulled permits and worked within time limit of the project. They had to do one follow up visit on Monday to snack out the basement drain and that cleared and everything has been running smoothly for the past 3+months. Long wait for the ground to settle so we can get our patio back into shape again.

Universal did a great job...I called mid afternoon on a Saturday, and they were able to help me the same day. Billy K, the tech, was very professional and knowledgeable. He was conscientious about his work and treated us like he knew us and like it was his own home. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, correct it, and brief us on possible causes for the concern that we may want to look into further. A very positive experience overall...I would definitely recommend Universal and Billy K. to anyone needing a main line drain problem diagnosed and fixed.

The sump was unplugged and the pit was vacuumed out as advertised. The clean out was also inspected which proceeded to come apart when the cap was put back on. It was glued back on and the technician left. The glue set and I attempted to start the sump back up and....nothing! The tech was called back (very prompt) and he needed to take the sump apart at the back flow valve to get it working....which it eventually did! Well....I woke up Tuesday morning to the sound of water spraying in my basement! 4 clamps on the back flow valve.....only 3 were tightened! The technician quoted me for an additional $6000.00 of work that should be done. I got further quotes and there was a lot of MO's-information received from the technician at Universal....especially when it came to specific code in the Cirt of Troy! In the end....what did I pay $135.00 for?

When Billy came back to start the work on replacing the utility room sink & faucet, he found we had much bigger issues than was originally thought with the lines coming from our kitchen into the utility room & then connecting into the drain in the floor. Or house is a ranch-style on a concrete slab, so there is no basement or crawl-space. In order to access the problem areas he had to open the wall behind the sink, which revealed an even larger problem with the plumbing - probably dating back to when the house was built in the early 1950's. We adjusted the original plan to take off replacing the ice maker line & replacing the caulking in the bathroom, since the next step would be more expensive than we had anticipated. Billy & Tommy came back the next day & proceeded to have to break up the concrete floor in areas of both the utility room & kitchen in order to replace 6' of original cast-iron pipe that was almost completely compacted in spite of having been cabled the day before. They had to replace some of the pipe in the wall going from the utility room back into the kitchen. Billy then did a beautiful job of installing our new sink & faucet. He had also found that the line from our kitchen sink had a "back-pitch" to it, so he corrected that for us. They patched the floor with new cement. I do have some linoleum left from when it was installed years ago so, hopefully, we will be able to patch the flooring. The water heater flu was upgraded to code, the kitchen faucet was installed along with shut-off valves, & the area above our new utility room sink has a much neater & cleaner appearance to it than before the work Billy did for us. I am pleased with the work that he diagnosed & performed for us, even though it was much more expensive than originally estimated. However, I feel we will not have to deal with more problems for many years to come! The work we did not do at this time can be done at a later time, along with another project that will need to be addressed later, also. Billy's professionalism each step of the way was greatly appreciated. He explained the problem, what the necessary solution should be & tried to keep our costs down as much as possible. He & Tommy did a great job of cleaning up afterwards, which was truly appreciated.

The leaky pipe was fixed and the gentleman took pictures and dimensions to give me an estimate on the additional work. However, i never received the estimate for the added bathroom plumbing... Called, left messages and emailed with no response.

On time and even early them I expected. Jonah the plumber was professional and clean.

For running into such a unexpected stressful situation, Adam and Tommy provided me reassurance that they would find the solution. I was both impressed and relieved once the job was completed.

it went great. they came out on a Saturday when other were closed and did the job very good and were friendly professional, etc. I would highly recommend these plumbers as honest and the do good quality work. I was able to use a coupon on angies list for 30bucks off which was nice.

As part of a pre-paid package of services, Universal Plumbing came out to flush my water heater. The plumber noticed that my drain was running very slowly and without charge ran a small snake down it to see if he could free it up. He couldn't, and upon further inspection surmised that there might be a leak or hole in the furnace room drain leading to my main line. He explained what would need to be done to repair it and provided an estimate for my consideration. Very professionally handled with no high pressure to do the work.

Snaked the drain and successfully opened it back up. Fred & Tommy were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They were very alert to put "booties" on (not upon my request) to prevent rusty water stain boot marks on our stained deck. Will definitely be calling this company again if and when needed.

Mark explained why the toilet I bought some time ago was not right for the basement wall mount toilet. He called for a price on the correct one and I chose not to go with it. He assessed the current toilet and determined the problem was in the toilet, not the "creative" plumbing that was installed and quoted a rebuild on the current toilet that completely met my needs. He cleaned everything up and demonstrated the toilets and leak that was fixed and was nice and professional during the whole process! I have a service contract and will ask for Mark anytime I need plumbing services!
