Master electrician Ray and apprentice Dave were both friendly and courteous. They dilligently worked all day to switch out my electric to 200 amp service. Everything went well from my first contact with this company (Bob) who wrote the estimate for what I wanted done to the the two men who eventually came to do the actual work. They cleaned up extremely well, went over all the circuit breakers with me and showed me how to switch over to use a generator. I will use this company again and recommend this company to friends and/or family. They were a rare find!

I called Oak on 01-04-2010 and they came out the next day. Josh checked all my kitchen plugs and found that the GFI plug was bad. He replaced it and also switched two light plugs for me. He was very Professional and did a fine cleanup when done. He also gave me some tips on electrical work I may want in the future. He was in and out in less than a hour and I am very happy with the service.

The folks at the office made no promises, but said they'd try to fit me in same day. That afternoon Gary and Russ called, arriving soon after. After a few minutes they commenced diagnostics and within about 40 minutes had discovered the problem, fixed it, explained all, and made some suggestions for the future. This was an entirely satisfactory experience.

On time, dressed for work, fair up front cost. Will use again before the snow flies.

Garrett, from Oak Electric was fantastic. I went with this company because of the high ratings on Angie's list and the fact that they thought they could come out that day (my power had failed in half the house). They were very honest about trying to squeeze me in and called a few hours later in the day to say that Garrett would definitely arrive that day. He arrived within 30 minutes of their estimated time. He evaluated the situation and said it would take a full day with two electricians. They were able to come out the next day and do the work. Since I opted to have them do the repairs, they waved the $150 fee for the evaluation visit (even though Garrett had tinkered around enough to restore my power temporarily. Garrett called me Friday morning to tell me when they would arrive and they were very prompt. Garrett and his colleague (whose name escapes me, John maybe?) worked their tails off all day. They were in my house for almost 9 hours, including a lunch break. The wiring looks fantastic and the electricity has been stable since. They kept me informed about what was going on throughout the day. I also asked them about costs to have my kitchen rewired since it is all on one breaker, which blows if I use the toaster and microwave simultaneously. Garrett assessed the situation and then said that he didn't think it was worth it unless I was redoing the whole kitchen so that they would have access into the walls. That is a true mark of honesty to me when a service professional recommends against repairs due to cost. I didn't get other estimates so I can't comment on whether I could have gotten the job done for less, but I am very pleased with the results and the amount and technical aspects of the job make the price seem reasonable to me.

Because I travel with my employment and can be out of town and anyplace within the state for several days; scheduling appointment times is crucial for me. Approximately 1 week in advance, I made arrangement with Oak Electric to do some work. I specified, and the person on the phone agreed, that I could be the first appointment of the day, 8:30 a.m. I did so because I had a meeting at 1:00 p.m. approximately 1 1/2 hours away. When I arrived home the evening before the scheduled appointment, I had a telephone message from Oak Electric indicating that they were rescheduling my appointment to 11:00 a.m. The message was left for me at 5:30 p.m. I called and cancelled the appointment and contacted another company to do the work.

I thought it was a fair price for the work, because I supplied the fixtures. I was happy with the service that he provided. He got in, he got the job done, and he got out. He knew what he was doing and all of my lights work.

They were very professional from beginning to end. They came on time and finished the job quickly.

The crew was prompt, professional and performed exceptional work. When they were done they provided an overview of the entire system and how it worked. Being it is a whole house system everything is automatic. Great Job!

Everything went as expected and all work was completed in a workmanlike manner. They were very neat and explained how easy it was to use.

Following a session to provide an estimate/proposal (with Jeremy -> $1000 deposit was required when I accepted the proposal), about 3 weeks were required to order/receive the generator and complete checks with the city for the proposed location for the generator. An installation appointment was set about a month after the estimate session. The installers called shortly before the arranged start time (8:30am) saying that they would be about 1/2 hour late. They (Tim and Dave) did arrive around 9am and after a short tour of the various gas/electric meters, the electrical box, and proposed site for the generator, they quickly began their work. They periodically notified me of their progress and warned when they needed to shut off the power to do the wiring work. They finished their work around 4pm (including one test run of switching to the generator and back) and began walking me through the setup. Unfortunately, while the system would switch to the generator when the power was turned off, it did not automatically turn the generator off when the power was turned back on. They attempted a number of actions to resolve the issue (they did attempt to contact their colleagues, but being late on a Friday, could not get in touch with them), but could not resolve the problem. We tentatively arranged for a return the following week to resolve the issue. Jeremy arrived the next week and after running a number of tests, determined the appropriate corrections to the wiring in the ATS -> subsequent tests indicated that the system was now functioning as planned. Jeremy also installed the whole house surge suppression kit. Despite the initial installation glitch, I was satisfied with the final results.

I went with another contractor who spent more time reviewing my job and needs.

The project start was somewhat rocky last fall ('07) when our assigned electrician became ill and did not show up the second day and did not notify us or the company. When he didn't arrive the day after that, I contacted the company and they sent two electricians to complete the job quickly. We were very impressed with the replacements. They were knowledgeable, worked quickly, and all parts of the system we've had reason to test (including the generator), have worked flawlessly. The slight glitch at the start did not delay installation of our air conditioning. We obtained two other quotes, but this contractor was not hesitant to have an electrical inspection. The township inspector was impressed with the quality of installation and materials used. We received a senior discount.

Went fine. Tech was professional. Price seemed a little high for 2 hours of work.

Actually had spoke with Jon a few months ago over the phone and helped me with a loss of power due to a storm. My dryer had a problem with the ground when Jon came over for an estimate, he repaired it for no cost. Very pleasant and professional. I would call again if I need any electrical work. I have had 2 other electricians over before from other companies to get estimates and they never called or got in contact with me.

Placed call on a Monday, service set up for following Monday between 8:30 and noon. No call and no show by 1:30 PM. I had to make the call and was told tech was held up on earlier job. Did not get satisfactory answer from office when asked why the office didn't follow up on dispatched work orders to have seen the problem in time to alert me before noon, and subsequently why no one called me after noon to explain. Work was rescheduled for the following Thursday, same time window. However, received a call at 8:17 AM to cancel appt due to their tech not able to come in to work. However, I was called by another tech at 10:15 AM, his schedule opened up, was I still interested. Accepted the offer, and was very satisfied with the work by technician Larry. Apologetic, professional, personable; excellent company representative. He tested the system before starting, then found and corrected the problems, and finally tested his own completed work before leaving. Fair pricing.

I told them I was from Angie's List but they still never called me back.

We have used this company for many years now and are very satisfied with both their professionalism as well as their prompt service. They always arrive when they say they will and they really clean up well when they are done. I don t mind recommending their services to anyone.

House buyer's inspector had issues with condition of fuse (breaker) box. Oak came out promptly and not only did they thoroughly inspect panel, but they removed front and cleaned leads. Excellent.

Tim, the electrician, was very courteous and professional, he worked efficiently and repaired my outdoor flood lights. There were loose connections which he tightened and reestablished the circuit. The floodlights now work. He tested my well current and found a short circuit which could not be corrected without pulling the pump, which I elected not to do. He was at my home about an hour. He deducted the senior discount when requested.

I have used them for all of my electrical work in the last 15 years. They are very professional and nice to work with. I will continue to use them in the future.
