Description of Work: We ended up using Lake's Lawn for all our landscaping needs. They do a great job of weekly mowing the lawn, weeding all the flower beds, and keeping things looking clean. While it took a while to get on the mulching schedule, they did an amazing job taking out some old bushes and mulching everything. Cost is decent for the service.

Description of Work: I asked them to cut an edge for two beds and to install mulch to all of our existing beds. My wife and I have hauled and installed 18-22 cubic yards every 2nd or 3rd year. Corey, the owner, gave an estimate for installing 25 cubic yards and suggested using less would not give us the depth of coverage we needed (he was right). We had to wait 3-4 weeks for the work, but it was worth it. The huge pile of mulch was delivered at 1:00pm. The work crew started at 1:30pm. They moved and placed all of it in four hours, with a crew of 7, 4 wheelbarrows, and a small front loader to scoop and fill the wheelbarrows. They did excellent work, working carefully around our plantings. Very professional and responsive. I will hire them again the next time he mulch needs to be replenished.

 + 0 moreI called and requested an estimate for snow removal and lawn care on or around December 30. The owner indicated that he would look the job over and get back to me via either email of phone. While I requested an email response. On or around January 3, he called me with an estimate. During the conversation, I requested that he send the estimate to me via email. He aggreed to do so. When I had not received the estimate via email, I called him on January 7 and reequested the estimate be sent . The owner indicated that he had sent the email. I again explained that I had not received it. He then indicated that when he returned to his office; he would send me the email again and include the date and time he had sent the original email in his response. I explained that I was not interested in debating whether or not he had sent the email but instead wanted the estimates for the work in writing. He reiterated that he would send the estimates and the date and time of his original email. I then explained that it appeared to me that he was more interested in debating whether or not he had sent the email than in obtaining my business. He responded that he was a businessman who acted with integrety and disliked his reputation being questioned. I responded that I believed that his statement implied that the listener, which in this case was me, lacked integrety and that I wasn't sure that he and I were going to be able to work together. He said he didn't want my business and hung up. I then called another company in the area who had also submitted an estimate and arranged for the work to be completed.

Description of Work: Lake's has taken care of my lawn for over 10 years and last year I began using them for snow removal. They are reliable, do a quality job, and care about your satisfaction. This summer they landscaped my lakefront home and rental home. For the lakefront they removed and disposed of two brick patios, installed topsoil, sod and seed/straw, transplanted and added plants. They also cleaned up and tilled the beach area and installed edging and 18 yards of beach sand. For my rental home they did pruning, shrub trimming, weeding, edging of the beds and planted perennials. They also cleaned up an over-weeded back yard and installed topsoil, seed, and mulch.
