Ryan was fantastic. he took the time to talk with me about the furnace and air conditioner. He fixed the unit so that we could get another year of service. Considering we had quotes for $3600 to $3900 for a new unit, this gave us some time before we have to replace it.

Our A/C unit was leaking water onto the floor and part of the furnace when turned on for a couple of hours. We called 1st Heating and Cooling Co and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Ryan came in, identified the issue as a faulty drain line and replaced it. He was very quick yet through and was able to answer question that we had.

Very nice guy. Thorough and explains what he is doing, why he is doing it, and what might happen next depending upon the results. Gave many options, gave costs associated with the options, but never sold anything. In the end, I felt like I made an educated decision with the help of the engineer on how to solve my problem in the quickest and most cost effective way, with knowledge of the likelihood of future service needs.

Overall, very positive experience

The furnace stopped working properly, the temperature dipped to 53 Fahrenheit. I called 1st Heating and Cooling in the morning, and got immediate respond. Ryan and another guy (Sorry that I do not know his name) showed up on time in the afternoon, check the furnace, gave the diagnose ( the drain line was blocked up), and went ahead to fixed the problem. Besides fixed the problem, they cleaned up the parts inside the furnace and did a routine check without extra charge. Excellent service & price, Highly recommended.

Excellent HVAC contractor. I chose them because they were the most thorough with their statement of work in the bid and it was an added bonus that they came in lower than other vendors. The work was done quickly and efficiently and they tried to "go the extra mile" with little added services. They secured a permit as required and the township inspector was very impressed with their work when he came to do the final inspection. I would highly recommend them and will use them for all my future HVAC work.drain lines

Furnace was no longer working when my son got home from work. He called 1st Heating & Cooling because they had serviced his AC in the past, and he was very satisfied with their work. Ryan came out and changed the ignitor. Unfortunately, the furnace kept shutting itself down. After delving further into the furnace, he found a pretty good size crack in the heat exchanger, therefore the furnace needed to be replaced. Ryan always takes as much time as necessary to explain everything, and will not leave until all of your questions have been answered, and you are totally up to speed with what he is proposing to do. They were prompt, efficient, very clean, and professional. Ryan kept us informed of his progress, as well as what he still needed to do. The job went well, and we have no complaints at all. We expected great service, due to having used them in the past, and we were not disappointed. If the heating and cooling system at my own house has any issues, I definitely know who to call. I will highly recommend 1st Heating & Cooling without hesitation.

Our Furnace was not turning on as expected. Responded same day and was extremely knowledgable. The problem was relatively minor (sensor needed cleaning) and fixed very quickly (and effectively).

Outstanding workmanship, knowledge, professionalism and patience. Ryan arrived early in the morning and stayed late to get the job complete in one day. With most individuals that are hired to perform work in my home, I have to redo part of the work due to sloppiness. Absolutely nothing needs to be redone with Ryan's work. Beginning with the first visit to my home to calculate the size of the furnace and air conditioning unit and inspection of duct work and two subsequent phone calls each lasting an hour to discuss pros and cons of various sizes and options for the furnace, a/c unit, humidifer, thermostat, and air filter as well as the type of stainless steel used in the heat exchanger in the furnace, Ryan remained calm and professional. if he didn't know the answer, he got back to me with the answer. I couldn't be happier with the end result, and I recommend 1st Heating and Cooling as the top choice among 3 other heating and air conditioning companies that make an A grade on Angies list.

We first called earlier in the week to address a problem with an A/C leaking water onto the floor inside the furnace. Ryan came out the same day and quickly diagnosed and repaired a plugged drain pipe. He inspected our furnaces and found heat exchangers with small cracks, and showed us the cracks with his camera. We had previously had another HVAC contractor tell us they were beginning to crack. He gave us an estimate that we compared with several other companies and gave the contract to 1st Heating to retrofit our system with two new furnaces. Ryan was neat, professional, knowledgeable and honest, and explained what and why he was doing in terms we could understand. In addition, he modified several items in our system that went above and beyond the contract requirements. We will be keeping 1st Heating as our go-to contact in the future!

We called 1st Heating mid-afternoon and left a message. Within 20 minutes our call was returned by Ryan, the service technician. He was finishing up a job but said he could stop by on his way back to the office. He showed up at the house after five and began working on the unit and within 30 minutes had isolated the problem and replaced a bad capacitor. After the repair he took time to explain what he did and then gave us his thoughts and our options on maintaining or installing a new A/C system, all very helpful.

On the phone, prior to onsite visit Ryan offered several ideas for us to try and fix the problem ourselves to avoid a service charge. He was patient and courteous. The final bill was less than $150.00! Ryan is an honest and fair man who I would recommend to others.

My air conditioner died during the hottest part of the summer so far. I called Ryan and he came out the same day and gave me an estimate. The estimate was pretty steep and he said he would call to see if he could find a scratch and dent model that would be a bit more affordable. He found me a unit that cost $1,100. 00 less than the estimate.I have him on speed dial now and I am pleased that I have a GREAT heating and cooling guy! I would never go anywhere else!

Called Ryan as one furnace / AC was leaking water all over the floor and the other external AC condensor had stopped working. We made an appointment for the following week as I was going to be out of town. He arrived promptly and did such a phenomenal job!!!! I was so worried since we have two AC units and he explained everything. I felt confident in his repairs and he worked so quickly and efficiently! HE IS THE VERY BEST! My family is so pleased and happy with his service :-}

Ryan tested our old central air conditioner and determined that it could not be repaired. He gave us a very competitive quote for a new replacement but it was still more than we were prepared to spend. Ryan was committed to work with us and offered to keep an eye out for a used air conditioner. Ryan jokingly refers to himself as the "HVAC geek" and said that he would only consider a unit that he was confident would meet our needs. He was able to locate and install a unit within a week. He also adjusted the duct work vents to optimize the airflow. The unit has been working superbly especially during these extremely hot days.

I own a large, older home and noticed that the HVAC system was very inefficient. After getting a very expensive quote from from another company I decided this winter to give 1st Heating a try. Ryan accurately diagnosed issues with my complicated 3 zone system. Ryan then installed a Honeywell duct gate and control system that increased the efficency of my HVAC system to the point that I eliminated an entire zone. Last week one of my older a/c units failed. Ryan came out immediately and for a very fair price replaced the unit. I highly recommend this company.

They are very knowledgeable and know their craft. I will always use them and recommend them to all my friends. I enjoy working with honest and ethical people.

He is excellent. He is very professional, very knowledgeable and can articulate his services in laymen's terms. I feel very comfortable and confident that he is an excellent heating and cooling person. He identified a critical flaw in my furnace and rectified it. There could have been carbon monoxide gas leaking and he may well have saved my family's lives.

Ryan and his helper arrived during the agreed upon time frame and the work went very smoothly and quickly. He tested the system and found our air conditioner needed more refrigerant. We couldn't believe how quickly the house cooled when we finally turned on the air!Ryan was able to answer questions regarding our particular brand of furnace, so we could anticipate eventual failures and replacement of parts. We feel lucky to have found someone who used technology to check our units and who keeps up-to-date in his field.

Ryan came to the house a couple of weeks ago. He determined what was needed and thoroughly explained everything, from how a high-efficiency system works to which system would best serve our needs. Ryan and Marty arrived at the agreed time and worked steadily until the project was complete. They put down dropcloths and/or wore booties in the areas where they needed to walk inside the house. Both men are personable and friendly, and didn't mind answering questions while they were working. Their workmanship is top-notch. They completely removed all of the old equipment/trash resulting from the job and did a good job cleaning up all of the areas that they worked in. The system worked perfectly from the first time it was put on-line, and has continued to do so. The price I paid was fair, especially since Ryan quoted a system which I thought was a step above those offered by other companies who quoted the project. I would definitely hire 1st Heating and Cooling again and would recommend them to anyone who asks.

I found him on Angie's list, called him that day. He came out that same day. He was very knowledgable in his line of work and very professional, yet very easy to relate to. He was able to check out the problem and took his time to show us what it was and gave options as to what we could do. We decided to go with the new unit and he was able to fit us in the next day. They were on time, quiet, thorough and made sure all the areas were cleaned before leaving. we would recommend this Co. and will use them again in the future. The overall experience was very good. I received phone estimates from 3 HVAC companies and 1st Heating and Cooling offered me the best price using a coupon they had in a local paper. Ryan came out within a couple days to perform the work and arrived on time and used booties to cover his shoes. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He worked very quickly and gave me good feedback regarding my furnaces and heating system. I would highly recommend 1st Heating and Cooling and will be calling him in the Spring for an inspection on my AC unit!

The entire experience with 1st Heating and Cooling was without a flaw. I had decided to have air conditioning installed and called and received 3 estimates. I called 1st Heating and Cooling and Ryan, the owner, came over within a few hours the same day. (He was in the area but I was impressed with his promptness). Ryan looked at the situation and made some notes, discussed with me where to put the unit outside. He was very thoughtful in choosing a place that would be economical as well as out of sight of our outdoor sitting area. Then he explained how air conditioning worked (which neither of the others went into at all). This was helpful when I had the other two companies give me estimates. I felt very well informed and able to make the best choice! Meanwhile I had two other heating and cooling companies give me an estimates. The next day Ryan called and came over with the proposal. Price-wise it was right between the other two. Considering his complete expanation and time he took, I thought I would receive the best service down the road from 1st Heating and Cooling, if I needed any and I felt confident that Ryan knew what he was doing. Ryan and his helper Marty showed up on time on the scheduled day. They carefully dug up a large, very large bush that was in the spot where the condenser needed to go. The installation took until the early afternoon. Both men worked continuously until the job was complete. They were both considerate and covered their shoes when they came into the main part of the house. They cleaned up completely, inside and out. Ryan called to make sure everything was going okay the next day. Thanked me for the business. Amazing. That's all I can say, except I can't believe I lived here such a long time without air! It's wonderful!
