Went well. They came out and explained the problem (I already knew what was wrong, they confirmed) and offered alternatives for fixing the immediate problem and long range options. We hired them to replace everything. They gave us a timeline and accomplished everything on time and for the agreed upon price. They also fixed some problems with the water heater vent that were not part of the work at no charge.

They called ahead, went right to work identified a crack and ended up selling us a new furnace. Checked both the furnace and AC. Seemed thorough and were pleasant. Showed us the crack and explained the problem well.

It went very well. He gave me a military discount. Another company came and put freeon in my unit, but it didn't help. This guy came out and looked and said it was my circuit breaker. He didn't have the part so he went and got it, he came back out at 9 o'clock at night and installed it. That impressed me, so I called him back when it was time for a new unit.

These guys are truly the best. I have used them for years and they do outstanding work. I won't use anyone else period!!!

Ryan and team were awesome! From diagnosing and giving me options and helping me to save money to completing the job, they were terrific. And even though the weather has cooled substantially and I probably will have used the AC for a total of two weeks before next summer rolls around I am very happy. Everything was thoroughly explained and together we came up with a solution that made the most sense. I highly recommend 1st Heating and Cooling and will definitely hire them again.

Great! The furnace check up was thorough and explained in full. Ryan was even able to swing by an hour after the check up to give me an estimate to replace one of them. Both guys were friendly, courteous, and explained everything to me. Very helpful!

Ryan came out within an hour of our call. Went over our peculiar A/C configuration. Gave suggestions as to what we need, and an opinion as to what unit we needed. Perhaps because it conformed with our research and decision, we liked what he had to say. Price was in the middle of the quotes we received for 1.5 ton Bryant. We choose his company because it was local, had excellent reviews, and I knew he would be on site. Install went well, cleanup was excellent. Would recommend 1st heating and cooling without reservation.

Ryan and his team did an excellent job replacing two furnace and AC units along with modifiying ductwork to flow better. His crews are very professional and do a good job paying attention to detail. Ryan is an honest guy and stands behind the work he does, he even came back multiple times to adjust my system since it just wasn't cooling perfectly. Would highly recommend.

The work was excellent. The technicians were professional, did the work expertly and did not leave any mess behind. We would certainly recommend them if anyone is looking for an fine company to work in their home. We will certainly be using them for all the regular maintenance on our new furnace and air conditioner.

Knowing this was going to be such an important, costly and big job ... I lined up 5 of the most well known area companies (1st Heating and Cooling was unknown, but a referral via family) to come to my home for insight and quotes. I received everything from snooty men in suits, taking shoes off at the door to cigarette smelling truckers with muddy boots on my carpet and everything in between. Each companies estimates and advice almost PERFECTLY fit their appearance and manners; Snooty Suit Man = good look over/measurement, short chat and $11000, Stinky Muddy Trucker = 2 snaps of the tape measure and out the front door at $6000. THEN THERE WAS RYAN WITH "1st Heating and Cooling" (da-dadada) ... Clean enough to be presentable, presentable enough to know he gets his hands dirty! This man is a walking, talking HVAC system ... by far one of the most knowledgeable, down to earth, honest, precise PEOPLE I have ever met, let alone a "Furnace Guy". I was mesmerized by his thoroughness, tricks of the trade explanations, and character. Ryan spent 2hrs at my home (maybe he just liked it here) going over measurements, products, options, pricing, drawings and walking my wife and I through each step of the way in "layma's terms", answering any questions we had. Ryan was so helpful and friendly, even my little daughters and dog were into the "new furnace" conversation at the table. The "1st Heating and Cooling" crew of gentleman that came only a day or so later for the install were just as professional. They worked diligently around the house and cleaned up quickly afterwards (whole day job), all without disturbing my newborn napping. I believe this company is not JUST looking for the next sale, but looking to do good, honest work and make a living at what they are good at.

My AC went out today and a friend recommended I call Ryan Beirl. When I called he was so nice and professional! He trouble shot it over the phone with me and then came over and fixed it tonight!!! Outstanding customer service and honest he really cares about his customers and takes time to address all the concerns!! I will highly recommend 1st HEATING & COOLING to all of my friends and family!!

It went very well. Ryan came up with a brilliant, quick and simple fix. A mini-split! :)

Did job next day. Worked hard under difficult conditions. Completed job and worked hard to deal with my needs. Heating and cooling were tested and worked perfectly. A month later, fully tested air and heating, all worked well.

I called at 6:30 in the morning and had a call back within an hour. They came out to the house within 2 hours of our phone call and they started the install that evening, after the guys had already put in a whole days work. They found an issue and were still trying to get us up and running at 10:30 at night, they came back the following morning and completed the job. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else, and I have. They are professional, polite and they go above and beyond to do the job. Thanks guys for everything.

These guys are awesome! Very prompt and professional.

They were referred to us from friends. Came in and gave us an estimate. We agreed on the price. Scheduled for a few days later. They came on time, finished promptly. No problems.

Tom came out and took our unit apart and saw that we had rivets falling off of our exchanger and explained that this was a hazard because it could be leaking CO2. So he turned out gas off and said we needed a new one, bluntly. He mentions about testing the air level for CO2, which I wanted to do, but quickly said it was expensive and takes time and retracted the wanting to test it once I didn't care about time and money. I had to speak to his boss Brian who proceeded to tell me they really don't do that (then why did he mention it) and that we needed a new unit. He gave me quote and we picked a 85-90% efficient unit. Mid to high in price. Fine. They installed a temporary system till they would be able to order all the stuff which was good as it was march and we were still in winter sort-of. They came, installed the unit and completely ruined our FINISHED basement floor. They chipped paint, left cement spots on the floor (you have 20 min till that stuff dries and you didn't clean it up!!) and left. No explanation. I came home to find this as I was at work and called him, angry. He said that is unecpetible and that he would remedy the issue next time he came out because we still needed a flue liner. That day came and he saw the problem and did NOTHING about it. Said it was just part of the job. So if you want someone to ruin your floor and do nothing about it, then this is your company. We still tried to contact him and he doesn't answer our text or calls. Makes us think if we really needed a new system in the first place...

Ryan and his crew did an incredible job. Were punctual, and professional while working in my home and kept me updated as I was out of town for a portion of the work. Ryan was great in the quoting process and gave me very detailed options with the pro's and con's of each option. He was willing to work with me over the weekend to iron out the details of my system install so they could start first thing on Monday morning. I would highly recommend you call Ryan for any HVAC issues you may have.
