Description of Work: After purchase of new Heating & A/C, decided I should buy new water heater to fit with the new heating unit. Didn't need a new one, old was working just fine. December 2007 purchased new water heater, warranty. June 12, 2014, just 6 years 6 months later I had to purchase another for $1,578.00. Since I had a service credit due from a technician with them who tried, but could not repair on the 10th, and a Gold plan discount I wound up paying a total of $1,331.00. Now they offer a 10 year warranty. In the process of moving I really didn't need this expense, nor to I have the time for it. I will be contacting the BBB once settled in my new home.

Description of Work: I had a service call to see if my furnace was able to be saved or if it had to be repaired. They charged me to tell me it was not in working order. Then they gave me an estimate to replace it. Their price was 2,500 more than another major company. Why not just give a fair price from the start? They use scare tactics and ridiculous membership plans. I do not know how they are still in business with the prices they try and get away with. My suggestion would be to stay away! I asked them if they would reimburse me for the service call if I went with them initially and they refused. I also asked about going with a less expensive furnace and would not even give me a price, lying saying that they were not allowed to be in use.

Description of Work: Have used Flame since about 1975 for all furnace checks and air conditioning checks and for duct cleaning , furnace purchase....most recent 2003. have always been satisfied . have the Gold Plan and find it very satisfactory.

Description of Work: Felt like they were honest and up front and had a great service plan, we did buy it, but didn't feel pressured to. We were told by another company we had to replace the unit for $4000. The gave us options to proceed with our faulty a/c. We felt well taken care of by them.
