We could not be more pleased with the company and their crew. The repair and painting was exceptional. Everything was covered keeping our house clean and dust free. We are in the process of moving and Ken expedited the work. Thank you.

Great and responsive sales and quotation. Great quality of work (when completed). The main problem, workers not showing up on the scheduled date and/or time(s) (no call tho reschedule either). Fortunately our household is fairly flexible, this could be a major issue for other customers who have to schedule time off work. The job was completed just after the 4th of July holiday so I can foresee that may have contributed to some of the issues. If the companies management had a good handle on scheduling of work, it could be a go-to drywall service provider.

[Member Name Removed], Thanks for the review. Glad you liked our price and quality - yes, we struggled this year with the July 4th weekend - with it being on Wednesday this year, it wreaked havoc with our schedules. We are making some changes in our processes to address the issues you cited. Thank you very much. Ken

They didn't show up the first day, and I had already contracted an insulation company to fill the areas of wood that MultiDrywall was supposed to remove. The insulation company showed up and MultiDrywall didn't. It turned out that a guy from the crew called in sick so they didn't come at all that day. The insulation proceeded and pulled the painted wood, insulated, and took it with them for disposal. When MD showed up to do 'their job', they asked us for some of the old trim and I told them we didn't have any, so they said they didn't know what color paint to use. They replaced the wood, and then I received multiple invoices from their office, one of which was WAY more than I had agreed for their job. They suggested we paint the whole house. I could only figure that was because they didn't want the trim to not match due to their error. After many phone calls to this office and project manager, and returned trips, they finally got the job done and took their trash. A few months later, I noticed there was a crack in the trim above the garage door. I called the project manager and he said he would get someone out, but "the weather wasn't agreeing with him." he finally came out and caulked it, but it looks horrible. The color for our trim replacement had an orange tint, nothing like our natural looking trim on the rest of the house. Now that it is spring again, the caulk from their job is hanging down, and the crack in the trim above the garage is truly visible. It is embarrassing for me every time I go into our driveway. I've attached two pictures to show the difference in the color of paint and the cracks in the trim with the caulk hanging down. Currently, I am interviewing painters from Angie's List to paint all our outside trim, and one painter looked at the job on the garage trim that MultiDrywall did, and said "I hope you didn't pay them for that!" Unfortunately I did. I caution anyone who hires this company. i did give them a C for responsiveness because when I did call the project manager he did respond and did either send someone out or come out personally. But if the end the job is not done right, then what's the use?

Taping work and drywall work was good. Clean up was terrible. Contractors would often not show up when scheduled, which meant we had to rearrange schedule or call to find out what was going on. Price was excellent. If you don’t care about ambiguous schedule or extended time frames to complete work, then this company may work out for you

After I purchased a deal for this repair on Angie's List, someone came out for the estimate and said I would receive the estimate by email in a few days. After several days with no email ( I made sure to check my spam folder), I called the company. The person answering the phone said I should have received it. I am certainly willing to consider that it had been sent, but some glitch prevented me from receiving it. She contacted the estimator and forwarded me a copy of the estimate. There were two things that troubled me about the estimate. First, there was a statement on it that any repairs in an unheated garage cannot be guaranteed. I can see why that is reasonable, but I would have appreciated being told about that when the estimator was at my home. That way, I may have chosen to do it some time when the weather is better... not in November in Michigan. Second, the estimate had a single figure on it. There was no indication of what was for supplies and what was labor. I asked that I get an itemized statement of what supplies I am paying for and the total cost of those supplies, as well as what portion of the price was for labor. I was told they do not do that. It was at that point that I decided not to go further with this company. I returned the purchased deal to Angie's List with no problem at all. In the spring I will find another company to complete the project.

Fine overall, they came right out to do an estimate and after probably 5 calls to remind them to put me on the schedule it really only took them a week or so to come out after the 4th of July holiday. The guy Andy was very sweet and did great work, I thought it was obvious that we didn't use our closet doors since they were nowhere to be seen and the carpet is totally covering any floor closet mechanism.. obviously not :-P He left space for the closet doors and had his saw and everything packed up when I went up to get a look. So I asked him to fill in those spots and he could have been really annoyed but he was like, no problem. It would've been nice if he asked me to take a look before all the stuff was packed up. Otherwise very satisfied!!

[Member Name Removed] We strive for perfection, but don't always reach it - I am very glad that you had an overall good experience in spite of a couple of hiccups. For us, it is how the customer feels at the end and how the project comes out at the end. Our guys do make mistakes from time to time, but I'm glad to hear that Andy handled it well and he quickly fixed the problem so you were happy. Please don't hesitate to call us again in the future should you need anything. Sincerely, Colette

Original referral came from a co-worker a few years back and I had them drywall and paint an 1800 SF multi family residential at that time. This time I had them completely re-paint a small (576 SF) 1BR apartment - something I'd typically do myself but I just didn't have the time to do it this time around. As someone who is used to doing a lot of my own work, it hurts to pay for someone to do things like this, but if you hire them, you can rest assured the job will be done right and done when they say it will be done.

The pros of working with this company: Every contractor was very nice. However if they were not nice, I would be giving this company a D rating on Angie's List. The cons: There were many cons of this company, the most of which was that there was a communication breakdown somewhere in the company that effected our project in many ways. Our project took more than a month to finish the project, (start date was June 7th, end date was July 10th) which could have been easily finished in a week, and I had to make several phone calls to the project leader in order to get them to come out and paint to our satisfaction. In the meantime, I was sent several invoices from their office demanding payment before the end of the project. I had originally coordinated the project with an insulation company so that MD would show up on the same day and pull the wood so the insulation guys could fill it, and MD would replace the wood as well as other rotted out wood trim. On the start date of the project, I called the project leader and asked where they were and he said he didn't know he would call the main office. Then he called back and told me his contractor called in sick. So the insulation guys pulled the wood trim themselves and finished their project in one day. MD came the next day and started their work replacing the wood. The next day another MD worker came and wanted to know where to drop off ladders and asked me "when will the other guys come back to work on your house?" Then later that day someone else came to the door and asked me if the insulation company had left any of the wood because they didn't know how to match the paint. I told them no because the insulation guys took the trash with them. I didn't see or hear from anyone for a little while. So a couple weeks and a few phone calls later to the project leader, I received another quote for an additional $1800.00 and I asked them what it was for. The project leader wasn't sure but he called me back and said that they figured they could just paint our whole house since they were painting parts of the trim. I could only assume that was because they couldn't match the last paint (that they had painted themselves in 2013 and I thought they would be able to retrieve records) and that they would just cover up their mistake by painting the whole house!. I refused the new quote and told them we didn't have the budget to paint the whole house. I didn't see anyone else for a few days and then I saw a truck in my driveway with some young guys smoking. When I came out to go to work, I saw the ladder and paint tray and figured the painters were there. Although they were very nice, they were gone when I came back and I noticed that two large areas of wood had not been painted, several cracks in some spots, and missing caulk from other spots. When I called the project leader he said he would take care of it. The ladders sat in my backyard so long and they were very heavy so I had to mow around the ladders because I couldn't move them. And then mysteriously the ladders were gone. After a couple more phone calls, they finally back came out and completed the paint project only after my husband and I complained. Another young man came to the door and said he was stopping by to pick up the ladders. The project leader said he would stop by to pick up the check, when I noticed that a large trash bag of wood trim and paint trays was still left on the side of my house. Only after I requested that he remove it did he take it with him. I feel bad for the project leader because I am not sure if this is a communication breakdown between him and the higher ups, but given the fact that I had to follow up so much we are going to see if we can hire another company in the future for similar work. I should mention that we hired this company in 2013 and I had similar issues with them not coming out to finish their project, but not to this magnitude. I should also mention that I started setting up this job in March, so they had plenty of time to prep for the project coordination.

The job was finished, but I will have to clean up the spots that weren't finished very well. This simple job took 2 1/2 weeks and I had to call and ask for updates. I was glad to not have to do it myself, but I was a little disappointed after hearing the other reviews.

Joe stopped by on a Saturday morning to check the work that needed to be done. He was honest about the work he could do and could not do at a fair price during the visit. After checking the work inside he briefly checked the exterior of the house and told me he would have someone else ( I think someone named Kevin) stop by to take a look at the exterior work. I was provided with a a partial quote - new drywall was quoted, but it did not include painting of the new drywall nor the ceiling, and no quote for painting the exterior was provided. I sent a text message to Joe telling him about the missing things on the quote and he said Kevin would be stopping by in the next few days to check out the paint job and quote it. A week passed without hearing back from them, so I sent an email (on March 20, 2017) to their estimator, Alysa Walch, and Joe McArthur to check on the quotes, but as of today I still have not heard back from them. I ended up hiring a different company to do the job.

It went well this time. Work has always been done well by this company as we have used them before. When we couldn't get a response from the company after several tries for this recent job, the owner got in touch with us himself later and tried to make it right. He came by in between and checked on the job himself and workers have always been pleasant and capable. In fairness, we did have two parts to the job but I still thought it took many days for them to polish off the work. In the end it was done well and I would call them again for my drywall/trim work needs.

Took a while to get the process going, which was fine, but the actual times when the workers were supposed to be there were off. Materials were supposed to be dropped off on a Monday, but were actually dropped off 4 days earlier (thankfully I was home). Workers were very friendly and professional, but left two noticeable holes in the walls and a large gap between the door and drywall. Another worker came out to repair the holes, but did nothing to repair the gap adjacent to the door. Had to do that myself, which was disappointing. Was told that the project would be completed on a Saturday but no one showed up until Tuesday, throwing off my plans to prime and paint, and also forcing me to lose my warranty on the services as I was out of town for a week after that. Disappointing experience for a fairly simple project.

Overall the quality of the work, and time of service from beginning to end was very acceptable. The manager of the project promised the work would be completed within two weeks minus the carpentry work. My complaint is there was three separate occasions where workers came to my home unannounced to drop off materials / do work, additionally when I received the email quote from the office I replied to the email and received no response at all. There seems to be a lot of internal struggle with communication between employees, and with the customers. Knowing that, they do provide quality work in a timely manner.
