Jerry, Jason and George and another individual did the work and were excellent in all respects. The change to the house is dramatic and this activity has added a whole room to our house that we will use a lot. Jerry, was the lead on the team and he was great to work with and showed a great deal of professionalism, leadership, care and especially artistry that resulted in this being exactly what my wife and I wanted. AWESOME JOB!

A little slow on providing the plan but since it was free I have no complaints.

It took them longer than expected to complete the work, however we are mostly pleased with the work. There are a few lingering issues we are still working on.

My complaint is with Terry (the owner). He came out within a few days or so and gave me an estimate on Aug 2nd, no problem. I also got 2 other estimates and they were in the middle, so I decided to go with them. I sent in my deposit so they could schedule the work After they received my deposit and a few phone calls later, Terry said they would do it the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. I was planning to leave for vacation that day, so I asked if that was the only day they could do it. Terry seemed put off and said "if I say we will will be there that day we will be there". I didn't want to wait any longer so I left it at that and changed my plans. They showed up as promised, however they did not have the right color retaining wall blocks. The current wall is tan, Terry said he couldn't find tan blocks to match and asked if I would be OK if they used red blocks. Not sure why you would ask a customer to use the wrong color blocks... I told him no, so he left to look for the right ones, he found them somewhere and brought them a couple hours later. The workers finished the job by the end of the day, they did do an OK job. Only complaint is they left no way to clean out the underground downspout, I re-did it myself so I could clean it out if needed. The original quote included capping off a sprinkler line. When they came to do the job I told them to leave it as is. When I received the bill it was for the full amount, so I called Terry to ask if he would knock a few bucks off since they did not cap off the sprinklers. He again was very put off by me asking, and said he had only figured $20 to cap the sprinklers and had used more topsoil than quoted so he would not reduce the price. I asked why that mattered since it had nothing to do with the sprinklers, he said again he would not reduce the price, it is what it is. If they want to lose a customer over a lousy $20 so be it. Too arrogant and rude anyway.

Kurt was fantastic to work with. We are not experienced at any of the work that was required. We shared our views and he did a fantastic job of listening and translating our desires to reality -- adding touches that make a huge difference. when he came back with his first proposal there was a few things we didn't like -- some of the plants and such and also the size of the paver patio. Kurt changed the proposal to make it perfect. For example, there was a nice wall added behind our pool and he originally was putting some taller evergreen type plants, which I really disliked. Instead he suggested some very nice decorative grass. He also did a great job suggesting plants that we could maintain as we are NOT good at gardening at all. the crew was also very good. Punctual, hard working, really dedicated to detailed work. Their clean up was great every day.

Crew worked July 15 & 16 and releveled rear patio, installed new rear and front steps. Did not come out to finish project (powerwash/sand) until July 31. I stayed in contact trying to get them to finish job but was dealt one excuse after another. First week their power washer was broken and part was on order. Second week they ordered a new unit and was waiting for arrival. I mentioned that you could rent a power washer for around 30 dollars or so and was told that was not an option. Overall the experience was not pleasant considering the monies put out and the time involved. Unfortunately will not reccomend or use this company in the future.

Their designer met with us discussed what we wanted. Later he returned with blueprints diagramming the design and work that would be done. They set up appointments with the utilities to mark electrical, water and gas. A crew of four men arrived with heavy equipment to cut down and remove our trees and old foliage. They then dug out the footings for the retaining walls and applied a leveling material that they tamped down to ensure the bricks to be even. The first day they were there from 9am to 7:30 pm. The next day they finished their work, cleaned up and were gone.

Shannon came out on April 5, 2013 to take a look at the job and gave me a written quote on the spot; amazing! While the price was in the middle of the contractors I looked at, I really liked Shannon and how straightforward he was. His honesty and directness and responsiveness made choosing Superior Scape a no-brainer. The guys came out on 4/29/2013 and finished on 5/3/2013. The job took about 3.5 days; a half-day longer than I was quoted, but there was some material mixup that prevented them from finishing as quickly. Not a big deal to me. I had a 35 foot tree that was removed by another company and was left with the stump that sat between the retaining wall and my garage. Superior scape was able to bring in a small back hoe and remove it; saving me a lot of money over them doing it by hand. The old wall was removed within 1.5 days and the new wall came up very quickly. I chose the granite Unilock Pisa2 bricks which look great and are very durable. The guys did an excellent job installing the brick and building the wall. They also installed sod on my neighbor's lawn where there had been some minor damage. Everything looks SO much better and I am getting a lot of compliments on how good the wall looks. I will definitely use and recommend Superior Scape to anyone.

We 3 bid out the job and from the beginning Superior Scape was prompt courteous in our phone correspondence. My wife and I met with Kurt who was very knowledgeable and listened to our requirements and desires. He took measurements and got back to us quickly with a design and a quote. The quote was 10% higher than the other quotes received and we were informed that our $4500 job was not big enough to be negotiable on the price. Despite that, we decided to go with Kurt and Superior scape on the work because of his professionalism and accuracy in coming up with a design based on our desires. We were not disappointed! The work was scheduled around some inclement weather, and was done completely, quickly and on time. Superior Scape made everything easy and worry free. We are looking forward to watching our plants grow and mature. We would definitely use Kurt and Superior Scape again!

We were very happy with Superior Scape. Terry, the person who planned the landscaping, was very prompt, listened to what our wishes were, and came up with a great blue print. I wanted to have low maintenance plants in the front (tired of trimming bushes!). They're great! He even transplanted some exisiting plants in one of the gardens. There's a path with pavers also, that were put in with precision. A couple of plants didn't make it, but were promptly replaced. We called last year to have more work done in the back. Terry came back, we made another plan, and it was done in 2 days (weather). We were very happy with this job too...should have done it years ago!

Overall, the project went very well. The work was performed on time and met our schedule. The quality of the work was excellent, however, the price was too high. Given the high quality of the workmanship, we were able to overlook the price issue. There were other brick pavers that were willing to do the job for about $1500 to $2000 less. I would recommend this company for brick paving and landscaping, however, the price could have been more competitive with other brick pavers/landscaping companies in the area.
