It was not a huge job and we seemed to have problems getting contractors to respond to our inquires for quotes. Jake responded very quickly and set up an appointment to quote our project. I am fairly well versed in the trades, and it became apparent quite quickly during Jake's onsite visit to look at our project that he knew what he was talking about. His quote was fair and he was able to get us scheduled between a couple of bigger projects. He showed up on time, did great quality work, spent time explaining things and answering my questions, and the jobsite was cleaned up after he was done for the day. His attention to detail was excellent, as was the finished product. I have no problem highly recommending Jake and Rockford Tile. "Our sliding door was ordered and installed on time with appropriate correspondence. The installers were nice but attempted to leave the job without ensuring that the door was squared and closed completely. When I pointed this out to them in the driveway, they came back and addressed the issue. Later in the evening I noticed that an weather seal inside the door was clearly damaged (visible by rips and tears in a black seal showing white insulation beneath) in a way not possible by use. I called the company on numerous occasions, sent numerous emails with photos of the issue starting on the day of installation and now, four months later, I have only received follow-up calls from the company when they're canceling an appointment to repair the issue and have never received a follow-up call on how they will address the issue. The door and installation was paid in cash. I would seriously reconsider using Markin for any large job as this was just one door and I've been waiting four months now."
