As you are aware, we take up old existing carpet at no additional costs as well as move your furniture for free as well Most companies charge an arm and a leg for such services or else they expect you to do it prior to their arrival. We give all of our customers a FREE upgraded 8 lb PREMIUM padding (valued at $7.11/yd. at most of the big named box stores) and on top of that we also are the only flooring company in Metro Detroit that gives you a FREE lifetime extended warranty on your installation work. With that being said, we may be slightly higher in some instances than the Home Depot or the independent installers working out of the back of their vans however most people choose us for out outstanding service and commitment to customer satisfaction. The piece of mind in knowing that if you have a problem with the installation of your carpet 5 years down the road, it will not cost you $500-$800 to have it re stretched as it is included as part of your service agreement for the life of your home. We do not claim to be the cheapest carpet store out there but we definitely are one of the best in the nation. NOBODY in Michigan even comes close to matching the quality and care of our service that we provide to the homeowner. We work very hard to go above and beyond for our valued customers. We first start out by sending someone to YOUR home thus saving you all the time and energy from shopping from store to store. This also allows you to take a good look at the many different selections of flooring under your light and nest to your home's furnishings. This in itself is FREE of charge where most companies charge no less than $50 for just a simple measure. In addition to the time savings, we also provide ALL Of our customers with a premium 8lb padding where as most stores offer a 5lb padding which doesn't offer the proper support to make any carpet last more than a couple years. In order to upgrade to an 8# padding, most stores will charge an additional 20-25% or $7/yd where is we ONLY use 8 lb padding. In addition to the premium padding we also take up your existing carpet at no additional charge and move any and all furniture if needed where as the box stores charge big bucks for that type of extra service. We also give you a FREE lifetime installation warranty at no extra charge where as a typical extended service agreement on just about anything you buy for your home these days will cost an average of 20% of the purchase price as an add on for a simple 2-3 year extended service plan. our is FREE. With all that being said, if you are purchasing a carpet for your own home that you will be living in for years to come, The Carpet Guys are by far the best way to go however, if you are just in the market for some inexpensive carpet for a home you have no interest in for the long haul, sometimes a carpet remnant from a box store and an independent carpet installer might be the answer because you can use cheaper pad and not have to worry about warranty down the road.
