step.

Great service. Arrived on time, worked clean and quick and product was as chosen with no surprises.

Excellent job.  The crew leader was very experienced and knew what he was doing.  Installation was great and they did an amazing job of cutting in a replacement section of carpeting where we had a bad stain.  They were very clean and left everything in great shape.

On 8/22/14 my Husband and I met with Kevin O'Keefe (who couldn't be bothered to put long pants on) with the intention of purchasing carpet for the entire house consisting of 3 bedrooms a living room, 2 closets and stairs. When I asked about the pad we were told I quote "we only offer 8lb pad because we guarantee it for life and we don't offer a choice. Since then, every ad I have collected from multiple publications all refer to a free upgrade to 8lb pad. So we have no idea what is in our house if this was the only choice especially since the carpet is 1/8 inch thick and the pad is 1/4 inch. We were quoted $5,696.00 and for that much money we assumed we were getting a quality product. We took advantage of the Angie's List coupon which offered $375.00 off of a purchase of $1800.oo or more.

All 6 ads I have in print offer $675.00 off of a full house carpet purchase or buy 2 rooms and get 1 free which for the price we paid for the carpet would have been a much better deal.

I cringe when I think about the "discount" we would have paid $6,071.00. The worst part of this purchase is the quality of the carpet and pad. We kept a piece of each which again measure 1/4 in. for the pad and 1/8 in. for the carpet.

All of that quality for the bargain price of $5,696.00

Sean and Chris came to the house and corrected the really bad install seams, however they are slowly re-appearing.

Troy came out and quoted me a rate that was competitive with all of the big box retailers.  He came out very quickly after my call and had carpet installed within a week.  i was very pleased with the quality of the carpet and the customer service.

They were very professional. Every employee from sales (Maz) to the installers were very polite and extremely hard workers.
I would absolutely recomend them to everyone!

Compared to a lot of other types of home service, these guys were amazing. They were able to do an estimate within a couple of days and then had the installation scheduled in less than a week, which is almost unheard of for larger services like this as I'm finding out being a new homeowner. The quality of service was great as well; everyone, including the lady on the phone, the estimator, and the installers were extremely friendly and efficient at performing their work. I don't see any imperfections in the carpet or installation and it's much higher quality than the outgoing stuff.

Overall very happy with our install. They were able to get our project done within a very short timeframe. We called on Friday and Maz was out the next day for our estimate. The install began on Monday. We had to choose a different carpet last minute because the roll of carpet we originally chose was damaged. Still happy with our choice. The installers worked through a power outage to get as much done as possible and then came back to finish up the last of it once power was restored. Nick, our installer, was very helpful and polite, but his partner seemed to spend more time outside than helping.

Pros:
CARPET:
The selection and quality of carpet was impressive. We were able to find exactly what we wanted and we were able to finance the purchase (interest free!). Now that the carpet is installed, it's gorgeous!
HARDWOOD:
Our refinished hardwood is also gorgeous! We have two large dogs. I was particularly concerned about their nails scratching the newly refinished floors. So far, the floors are holding up extremely well. No visible scratch marks, even when our dogs go tearing down the hallway.

HARDWOOD:
The sales associate came out twice. Once, when we first considered installing carpet/refinishing our hardwood floors and then again when we were ready to move forward with our planned project. In the approximate 5 months between those two sales visits, the cost of refinishing the hardwood apparently went up. It was a bit annoying that our original price quote was not honored.
I wish the sales person or hardwood refinishers had color samples we could look at. I was surprised at the very limited colors available. Although they said it was possible to mix colors and essentially create any color - the concern about mixing colors is trying to match that mixed color when we need to do touch-ups or refinish other parts of the house in the future. We were literally provided a small paper card with approx, 20 color stains on it. It was very difficult to gauge what thosecolors would look like on our floor. We literally had to try out several colors directly on the floor. The trouble with that is you stillcan't tell exactly what that color will look like with the top clear finish on it. Plus it dries slightly lighter. All things considered, we do love the outcome - color and quality.
CARPET:
We had an additional issue with unexpected costs for binding the edges of our carpet stair runner. We had planned on having the carpet edges tucked & tacked down, rather than bound. I wish during the original sales appointment that we were told the carpet was too thick for that to be possible. On the install day, we found out from the installers that the edges would HAVE to be bound. It took an additional week to get the installer and the carpet binder back out to the house to finish our project. There was also an additional cost that had to be paid out of pocket and that additional cost couldn't be rolled into the amount we financed.

Carpet guys were helpful, professional, and great on every level of our experience with them. Arnie was our salesperson for both houses, and did a wonderful job of guiding us in the right direction for our needs with the laminate especially since we had no experience with it. He also made it very easy to choose appropriate carpeting for both homes. Installation was fantastic. Prompt service as promised and professional, careful but fast installation on both homes. All our concerns and questions were answered so promptly and professionally. And our floors turned out even more beautiful than we imagined! We would recommend Carpet Guys to everyone... They are honest and fair and care about your satisfaction. Much better service than the " big" companies, who we've used in the passed and always felt a bit disappointed with. The Carpet Guys will not let you down... They will stick with you every step so you have the floors you want. Great professional sales and installation teams. They are honest and trustworthy and mostly, they install beautiful floors!

I went with them because they had good reviews and they had a fair price.

I was real happy with that. We had to do it right away and some of them I ended up not using because they could not get it done in the schedule we want. My father sold this house and should be out in 30 days. Actually, they were quick. They were professional and the job looks real good when they were done with it. The price was fair. We decided to use them because of a mixture of things, one, they seemed knowledgeable enough. The price was about what I expected and that they could get it done in the schedule I needed it done.

My experience with the Carpet Guys didn't start off well...but ended OK. I had received a referral for the Carpet guys from a co-worker. Having purchased a new home I wanted a quality job and didn't mind paying a little more in price compared to the big box chain stores. Mavin came to my home and it was a pleasant floor shopping experience. We set the installation for a few days from the date of my home shopping appointment. The first items to be installed were the Carpet in the Master bedroom and the laminate in the kitchen and dining room. Chris came on a Thursday to install the carpet and laminate. To put it in a polite way he did a terrible job. The carpet was laid very poorly in the bedroom, and came up with just slight touch. The laminate was piece milled and laid very poorly. I called Shawn the Installation Manager and we arranged for him to come out and look at the sub-par installation. Chris and Shawn came out to the house and Chris tried to fix the things that were wrong. It's still not a quality installation job but an improvement from how he had originally left it. During this process we had missed time from work, and we did get a check back from Carpet guys for $200.00 back on the job. I would have however, preferred a quality job from the start but they did attempt to take into consideration our time and trouble.







My positive experience came from Brad and his team. Brad was at my home on Saturday July 19th, installing the basement carpet. They arrived at 9 and worked tirelessly until it was finished. I was so impressed with his work standards. They even vacuumed the carpet and cleaned everything very thoroughly. I only wish Brad would have been my initial installer for my bedroom and laminate.







In my opinion, if you are shopping for flooring and decide to use The Carpet Guys, I would Highly recommend requesting Brad.

They did a pretty good job on the floors however I wouldnt give it an A grade. They had to be called back like 3 times to put my transition bars from the hardwoods into the bedrooms and for my vent covers. Overall they did a good job on the hardwoods especially lacing it into an existing floor and the transition areas into a tile floor. We picked them mainly because they could do what we wanted for the hardwood floors and allowed us to pay over 18 months. Id use them again for hardwoods.

We had a leek  in our powder room and had to have part of the wood floor replaced and refinished.  Jay and his crew did an amazing job. Wood recommend then to everyone.

It was great, they came out and did the work over several days. Unfortunately there was some weird discoloration in the final finish, and we had to have them come out and fix it. They promptly came over and it looks great and has held up very well. I will be calling them when we want the rest of our floors redone.

From initial,phone call to installation everyone was helpful, punctual, knowledgeable and affordable. Would definitely use again and recommend highly. Thanks, guys!

Very well.  We had flooring installed almost through the entire house.  Installers arrived on time and finished early.  CARPET GUYS suggested multiple options and never pushed the most expensive.  I felt a level of trust that I did not feel with other flooring companies.
