The agent came out to measure and do the estimate, and that was fine and informative, but I didn't realize we'd have to agree to the price and work on the spot or lose the quote. We went ahead and agreed to do it, but I didn't appreciate that pressure. We scheduled a few weeks out, and when I hadn't heard any kind of confirmation from the company, I called to make sure we were still on and get a time. At first they couldn't find us in the schedule, but finally they did. They said the installers would arrive as close to 9am as possible, but apparently one of them was an hour late to work that morning so they arrived a bit later than anticipated - OK, we made it work. They generally worked fast and did a good job - we're pleased with the outcome - but the unprofessional demeanor of one of the installers left a bad taste. Cursing loudly when the job gets difficult doesn't inspire confidence, dude. The other installer handled the job well, though, and gave us an opportunity to inspect the work which remains in good shape.

The service was good. They were fast, friendly and the price was good.

It went well. They were a little pricier than the other ones that we looked at but not the worst but they have good service and they were pretty helpful. After they did the installations, there were a couple of little issues and we called them and they came to fix and that was good.

Two issues: (1) Carpet salesman measured the three rooms, then gave us a "quote" for the work. When I said I had to think about it, he called the office to see if he could lower the price, and then gave us a lower quote. This may be OK for other clients but I find it super gimmicky when you get a price quote at the beginning and then a lower price quote if you don't say yes right away -- just give me the real, lowest price you can from the beginning! I don't like the "timeshare" model where prices lower after you say no or I'm not sure. (2) Measurements of rooms were 200 square ft more than what Carpet One measured -- I wish we had measured it ourselves beforehand --but we were so trusting! I don't know how this could have been inadvertent as it was 3 bedrooms and their closets (very small closets) -- I don't see where that level of error would come in. When we measured it ourselves we came up with the same figures that Carpet One did. Personally I did not appreciate the business model. I don't know if mis-measurements were accidental or not, but I lost trust in the company and would not use them in the future.

The service was great. We met a very nice gentleman at a home show that signed us up for a prompt quote. Once we received our quote it was considerably cheaper with a high quality carpet. They installed on the date promised, they called ahead, and we received a call while they were installing to see how the installation was going. Our new carpet looks great, and our old carpet is where it needs to be (with no work on our part) in the garbage!

scheduling was very easy. I had a conflict and had to resechedule which was easily done to suite my schedule. The two guys who came were very professional. They did a very good job. Will use them again.

The ability to schedule my estimate in the evening was a must. Too many contractors require you to take time off in order to fit them in. Weekend installation was also a must and The Carpet Guys arrived on a Saturday at 9AM and were out by 12:30PM. Everything was perfect from scheduling, to the estimate, and finally the installation. I will use again.

This was too easy! I checked Angies List for reviews before selecting a carpet company and this company was the best reviewed, for good reason! Kevin came and measured and brought us samples. At first I thought the selection was too small, but we knew right away we wanted a medium frieze carpet so that's what he brought in. I imagine if we didn't know what we wanted then he would have shown us dozens more and that makes the selection larger than you think at first. We still had about 6 types to choose from in 6 different colors each and found the right one. Kevin was very helpful and before he left we signed up for the 12 month no interest financing and scheduled the install. The night before install I received a reminder call, and then the morning of I received another that they were on their way. They arrived at 9:30 with two installers, halfway through another two came to help, and they finished up around 4. They did a very thorough and careful job, especially on the steps, cutting around spindles and overlapping the sides (I would have expected just a little griping about the complexity but not a word!). The old carpet was cut and bundled for us to put out with the garbage. The crew was quiet and polite and professional. We also received a call the next day to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall we are happy with our install. It looks great and I feel confident if there are any troubles they will be addressed.

This is how carpet buying should be. Came out with a large variety of samples, measured, and gave us a quote. No lengthy sales pitch, just a really straightforward, friendly buying experience. We had our carpet picked out, ordered, and an installation day set within one hour. We were able to get an install date of 2 days after our estimate. When they showed up, they had no issue moving furniture that was quite heavy. They worked hard and got all five of our rooms done the same day. It looked great! We love our new carpet, and would recommend them and utilize them again if we needed to. Thanks, guys!

The service went well. Three technicians came out and completed the job in a couple hours. They were very efficient, quick and professional. They were great with communicating and let us know that they would be a little late. The sales person who came out to sell the carpet was very nice and knowledgeable. He brought samples for us to choose from. It was very easy to schedule with the company. They contacted us 24 hours after putting in a service request online. We are planning on using them again.

We were schedule for carpet and somehow were left off the schedule. This was right before Thanksgiving. The company made sure that we were rescheduled immediately. The carpet went in as an extra crew was pulled in to make it happen. Wow! When does that EVER happen? The job was good...a little edges around the stairs that we needed to trim ourselves, but overall nice job.

The sales rep (Arnie) ended coming to our house three times to close this deal We had a somewhat special request and had to work out the details. Arnie was always friendly and conducted himself professionally. Each time he arrived promptly at the appointed time. He initially came with samples, but not the make and model we wanted. Not a problem for him and he put together a custom order for the carpet. Also, we negotiated a reasonable price for the carpet without much haggling. Because it was a special order, we had to wait a little longer for the carpet to arrive than their normal turnaround time. It was not a problem for us, as it gave us plenty of time to prepare for the installation. A two person crew came out to do the install. They were very friendly, professional, experienced and had the carpet installed in a very short period of time. They even corrected a long time problem with the steps. Two other companies neglected to install tack boards on the steps. The crew identified the shortcoming and corrected it. They didn't have to do this because I would never have known. The result was a more professional and significantly better looking installation than the previous installs. Only one small mishap occurred during the installation. They accidently chipped off a small corner of wood of our TV stand. I was worried this would turn into an issue, but it was not the case. After contacting the main office and supplying a picture of the damage, the service manager (can't remember his name) promptly took ownership of the issue and made quick arrangements to have it fixed. Along with how the initial business was conducted, this one instance demonstrated to me just how dedicated the Carpet Guys are to supporting and satisfying their customers. We were very impressed and frankly, relieved. I have two other rooms to carpet in the near future and when I'm ready I will definitely be calling the Carpet Guys. In general, I only have positive things to say about Carpet Guys and have made it known to people I know that if they want quality carpet installed they should not hesitate to call the Carpet Guys.

These guys were absolutely wonderful. Everything was top notch, from the initial sales appointment to the installation. Very professional all around. I would absolutely recommend them and am planning to use them again.

It went well. I wanted to pay X amount with my card and then X amount with a different account and they basically were saying we need 10% down for the cost then I can pay the rest of the amount when it's done. Instead he charged the full amount that day. I had no idea if it was coming back out or not, I had to call his boss. They did complete the work.

The sales rep came to the house promptly at the appointed time, asked what we were looking for, went out to his van and came back with carpet samples. We chose two we thought would work, he measured the rooms, gave us a quote and we set a date for installation. A crew of three guys came out to install. They were personable, respectful and very efficient. They also clearly enjoyed working with one another which made for a relaxed atmosphere. They were careful with furniture and anxious to make sure everything made it back to its proper place. Overall it was a good experience and I would not hesitate to recommend The Carpet Guys.

Price totally out of line from other three bids. Their quote was almost double.

Dave laid our flooring along with his son. Both were.very nice and very professional . I am however having a problem liking the vinyl flooring in the kitchen. When I saw the sample I thought the tile pattern would be larger, or at least that was the impression I had. The vinyl is a slate look and it is busy!. The tile pattern is small so it makes the floor look so much busier than I had anticipated. I am very disappointed in the look ....guess I will have to live with it ..not what I had expected.

The sales to the installation was spot on. The credit process is terrible and will ruin your credit score. 10/7/2014 Update: Joe (Owner) has been working with me to resolve my credit issues through numerous follow ups and going above the call of duty on this one. I'm highly impressed with the customer service provided and I'd now recommend this company to others. The credit was explained to me in much greater detail and in the end, I should have spent more time reading the fine print. I've had the carpet for a few weeks now and it's holding up very well. While it's early to say anything about the long term, the carpet is handling 2 kids up to this point. Cleanup is easy and I'm very satisfied with the product.

First I want to say what The Carpet Guys failed to say until after the fact and that is "You void your Berber carpet warranty and installation warranty by using a power brush vacuum." The Facts: The first issue was in the living room. The Berber carpet had a defect running down the middle of the room. They agreed to replace it. Once they replaced it we noticed the seam in the living room stood out. The living room has one seam and when they replaced the piece that had the defect in it the grain of the carpet was going the wrong way. The installer told us that the carpet over time will blend together. We disagreed and they sent out a rep to investigate our complaints. Additional issues that we had where the Berber carpet on the top four steps of our stairs was installed with the grain going the wrong direction, 90 degrees off. We also received a quote to refinish the wood floors in the entry way. The refinisher came and looked at the wood floor and said he was not sure that the type of flooring could be refinished. He did a test spot which confirmed he was right. Now we have a rough spot in the test area. Another issue occurred when the installers brought the carpet into the living room the carpet rubbed against the front door which scratched the paint off the door. I questioned it and the installer stated that can happen moving large rolls of carpet. Another major issue was clean up, the installers did not clean out the floor vents in all three of the upstairs rooms leaving a lot of pad and carpet scraps in them. The rep agreed with our complaints that the living room carpet grain was installed with the grain in the wrong direction, the carpet on the top four stairs had the grain in the wrong direction and the installers did a poor job cleaning up after the installation. They fixed everything accept the front door and wood floor. About eight weeks later the vacuum cleaner caught a runner in the seam in the living room and pulled an eight inch piece of yarn out. The Carpet Guys state that using a power brush vacuum voids the Berber warranty and the installation warranty; we were never informed not to use a power brush vacuum or given anything in writing. After 16 years of vacuuming our original Berber carpets with no snags, this was news to me. In addition they claimed it was not an installation defect and they would not replace the carpet. It is their responsibility to inform the customer of what voids their warranties. I could agree that it was a vacuum cleaner issue if it were in the body of the carpet but this is in the seam of which the installer had to hand cut for the third installation. The Carpet Guys tried to fix the runner by cutting a strip of Berber yarn and glue it in the void (Runner). There is still a one inch area without yarn and now we have a brown/black burn stain around the runner. After talking with the Installation Manager The Carpet Guys want us to pay them (their cost for replacement carpet and installation) to replace the carpet that we believe was not properly seamed during the third installation. In short the quality of the quality of installation was poor. UPDATE: Sean, the installation manager, came to our house, September 26, and inspected the carpet seam and agreed that the runner was in the seam and agreed to replace the carpet. On November 4 a different installer came out and replaced the carpet. The carpet and seam look great, thanks.

The design consultant ( Mazin ) provided sound information. The installer (Chris ) did great job. We asked for him on the second step.

Great service. Arrived on time, worked clean and quick and product was as chosen with no surprises. People ready to help on phone and in person.

Excellent job. The crew leader was very experienced and knew what he was doing. Installation was great and they did an amazing job of cutting in a replacement section of carpeting where we had a bad stain. They were very clean and left everything in great shape.

BUYER BEWARE On 8/22/14 my Husband and I met with Kevin O'Keefe (who couldn't be bothered to put long pants on) with the intention of purchasing carpet for the entire house consisting of 3 bedrooms a living room, 2 closets and stairs. When I asked about the pad we were told I quote "we only offer 8lb pad because we guarantee it for life and we don't offer a choice. Since then, every ad I have collected from multiple publications all refer to a free upgrade to 8lb pad. So we have no idea what is in our house if this was the only choice especially since the carpet is 1/8 inch thick and the pad is 1/4 inch. We were quoted $5,696.00 and for that much money we assumed we were getting a quality product. We took advantage of the Angie's List coupon which offered $375.00 off of a purchase of $1800.oo or more. Don't bother with this coupon! All 6 ads I have in print offer $675.00 off of a full house carpet purchase or buy 2 rooms and get 1 free which for the price we paid for the carpet would have been a much better deal. I cringe when I think about the "discount" we would have paid $6,071.00. The worst part of this purchase is the quality of the carpet and pad. We kept a piece of each which again measure 1/4 in. for the pad and 1/8 in. for the carpet. All of that quality for the bargain price of $5,696.00 Sean and Chris came to the house and corrected the really bad install seams, however they are slowly re-appearing. Buyer Beware!
