The salesman said that it would be in before Thanksgiving but it wasn't. They said that the carpet was not durable so we had to wait another week or so for that. After installation, there is still visible scenes.

Our sale process, with Matt was very smooth and pleasant. We needed time to hire and complete repainting of the same area so Matt arranged for up to 3 months storage of our carpet in their warehouse. When the painting was completed, about a month after signing and putting a down payment with TCG's, I called the Installation Department and scheduled installation within a few days of my call. Will and Alex{?} arrived and quickly went to work. They did a superb job of installation and cleaned up everything, including vacuuming. The old carpet was neatly cut and taped up for disposal with our city trash hauler. Will and Alex worked their butts off and were extremely pleasant to have in the house. The carpet and padding look awesome and it is so soft and plush that you could sleep very comfortably on just the floor. GREAT JOB, CARPET GUYS!
Description of Work: Tear out and re-carpeted the upstairs bedroom (story and a half bungalo), stairway and walk-in closet.

The sales process was awful - get ready for a pushy sales person to come into your house and suck up hours of your time and wrap your wife and kids into the decision. If I would have realized it would keep dragging on so long I would have cut it short at the beginning. Went with them since we were in a rush but regret it. Seems way over priced. Almost six hundred bucks for 1 bedroom and that was "a deal" Just wanted 1 bedroom carpeted. Installers were not professional/English was not their first language (so really not much communication with them during install). Left carpet at the curb. signing process was very long and manual - no technology. Guilt you into signing up on the spot because he can't come back out if you want to decide tomorrow because it's all paper driven, and he called his manager for an amazing deal which you only get if you sign now. Guy will try to sell you the best vacuum in the world that "they only have 20 left of" since they got an "amazing price on" and are willing to sell to me a huge discount. The carpet installation does not look like anything special, where it joins the hallway carpet is not perfectly straight with some loose carpet fibers.

We had a great experience with The Carpet Guys beginning with the salesman, Joel, who showed us carpets samples within our price range and did not try to sell us carpet that we could not afford. We had carpet installed in a family room and two bedrooms. The installers, Nick, Dave, and Grant were punctual, polite and professional! This was a great carpet buying experience!

They were very professional and were able to answer all my questions all the way from the sales rep, Maz, who came out to my house to the installer, Nick, who has installed carpet first in the great room and then a second time in two bedrooms. I have heated floors throughout the house so the installation had to be performed with a little more care as to not damage it and Nick was up to the task.
Description of Work: I needed carpet in several rooms. I have purchased from them twice now, fist the great room, the second time two bed rooms. I will have them quote the master bedroom next time.

The guys who installed the carpet did so right on schedule and even finished earlier than we had anticipated. I was so impressed with the 'Hay' colored wood flooring that was put in by Nick Camaj. The color was gorgeous, the quality was there and they put the flooring in perfectly. We needed one additional piece of stair nosing and Nick was able to secure it for us at no extra charge. This is very unusual for a company to go this far out for its' clients and not just provide good service, but additional supplies as may be needed. We will recommend this company to any and all of our friends!
Description of Work: We not only ordered three bedrooms worth and our hall and family room's carpet, we also ordered hard wood floors through The Carpet Guys.

They did an absolutely tremendous job installing carpet in my basement. They had to install around the drains, support poles, and an obnoxiously located furnace and water heater and they still made it look completely neat and professional. Will absolutely hire again.

I am so happy we finally have new carpet in our home. My husband and I have two dogs and it was getting time to replace our living room and bedroom carpet. We decided to call The Carpet Guys since we see there funny commercials on tv, since they say the move the furniture. They came to our house and we loved the options and our rep Matt was awesome! We are so happy with the new carpet and would recommend them to our friends. Thank you for making it fun and affordable.

The vinyl was installed right away, but the installer had to not only go over the vinyl while there but make another trip, because there was bubbles or air trapped under the vinyl. The carpeting was not good until after the installers left. We put down money so Carpet Guys could special Order our carpeting. They were supposed to install it on 11 May, but called us the day before to state that they wrong color was ordered. It would take another week before the correct carpet would come in and be installed. We called our salesperson Jamie, who had the matter expedited and the carpet was installed, with superior workmanship on Tuesday before our move.
Description of Work: We had flooring installed in our basement. We needed it by a certain time because we made plans to move in on a certain date and the floor had to be in first. We ordered Vinyl for the laundry area and carpeting for everywhere else.

We had Carpet guys out for a quote and were told that the carpet we were purchasing was the same thickness as our old carpet (which was Karastan). When they were installing it, we notice it was NOT the same thickness as the old carpet and now there is a noticeable line from the old paint color on the baseboards throughout the whole upstairs. We call the main office and were told to let it "bloom out", o.k. carpet does not bloom out but we waited the two weeks, called back and were told that the sales guy had to come back to verify the correct carpet was installed before they could take any other steps. The sales guy came out and verified it was the correct carpet and says that this happens a lot and it was his "bad" for not letting us know. He said there was nothing he could do for us. He took a sample of our old carpet and was to talk to the service rep and they would get back with us. It now has been over 2 weeks since he came out. I called today to speak with the rep and he was unavailable and not has returned my call and it has been over 4 hours. This is not the highly satisfied customer service we were told about. I would not recommend them.

The Carpet Guys stand behind our products, installation and service and are very sorry that you had this problem. It may sound strange but carpet truly does take a few days to "bloom" and we have information about this process printed on the back of our contract. Due to the way the carpet is transported to us from the manufacturer; tightly rolled and shrink wrapped, it can take a few days for it to reach its full height and thickness. We had hoped this might help resolve the height difference you were experiencing but sadly in this case, it did not. The new carpet you selected was not tall enough and your previously installed baseboards showed the difference where the paint met the carpet. We apologize that our Design Consultant was not accurate in his estimation that the new carpet length would match the old. We are also unhappy to know that you did not receive as prompt a reply as you were anticipating. It is our goal to satisfy every customer we have the pleasure of doing business with and we regret that this situation occurred. Our Customer Service Department strives to find a way to resolve any issue that may occur when customers make the choice to entrust us with beautifying their homes. When we did speak with you, you seemed satisfied with the $100.00 refund and we had hoped this amount would help offset the cost of repainting the moldings in your home so the slight height difference would not be noticeable. We had thought we had resolved this and had done our job to make you happy with the product you purchased from us and hoped you would rate your experience in a favorable light. In fact, when you last spoke to our Customer Service Department, you had indicated that this was a satisfactory solution. If it was not, we certainly would have worked with you further to do our best to achieve your satisfaction. You had indicated that this was a good resolution and now reading this review we can see you certainly do not feel that way. We continue to offer our assistance in achieving your satisfaction and are here to help. While you have asked us not to contact you again, please feel free to contact our office and allow us to continue to try and resolve this matter. We are sorry for your dissatisfaction and would appreciate the opportunity to further assist you. I did not get the work done because their salesman tried to pressure us into buying right there and then. Even told us the price could change tomorrow. That completely turned me off from getting anything from them. I told them we needed time and was getting quotes. Still continued to pressure us. I ended up going with Empire today. Much more helpful with less pressure.

Did not order. The salesman, Paul, came to our house and was polite and punctual. However, he was a hard sell salesman, and spent more time talking than listening. While we tried repeatedly to explain what we were looking for, he kept making suggestions that just did not suit our desire or taste. He kept providing samples of items that I had already explained I did not like. When he asked if we were ready to make a deposit, I explained to him that I was not really impressed with the options, and that with such a large purchase, we wanted time to discuss it privately. Two horrible mistakes were then made on his part. First he stated - test he actually said this - "Well, it may not be the exact carpet you want, but you will get used to it." Like I should just settle on something that isn't what I (the customer) want because they don't have what I want and he wants to make a sale despite that. Then second, when I told him we wanted to think about it and discuss it privately, he actually pulled the "phone call" routine where he called his manager who then lowered the price by $1,000 if we put down a deposit right then before Paul left the house. As though the carpet couldn't have been offered at that price initially....really?!?! Then Paul called again later that day, and again the following day, which is when he invited me to meet him at the store where they might have something I actually like. Needless to say, we went to another store, picked out the exact carpet we wanted, and despite spending $2,600 more, are very pleased not to have settled on a product we have to look at every day for the next 15-25 years just to save what equates to $100-200 per year.

My husband and I had recently purchased a home and were looking at quite a bit of renovations. One of our major projects was to remove all existing carpet and replace it with new. We are very picky people, so we did our research online and went into different carpet stores, ultimately, deciding to go with a family owned business, The Carpet Guys. Being from Michigan and small business partners ourselves, we love supporting Michigan owned companies. We gave them a call. I guess they do everything at your home, which is fine by me (given how horrible the weather has been lately). We set up an appointment for around after dinner time, and so our journey began. From showing up with samples, upon samples, upon samples of carpeting in color and texture, to us choosing and making our purchase decision, to having the carpet installed and project complete, took less than 72 hours. Carpet was down in one day!! I was AMAZED at the customer service and professionalism of the employees. We even received complimentary design ideas from the sales person, which was a huge plus, considering my husband and I have no clue about these things.The carpet we picked out is sensational. It's Dreamweaver Cosmopolitan in the color Ash... It's perfect if you're looking for neutral tones. We HIGHLY recommend this company. We see the guy on TV all the time, and decided to try his business and see what happens. Do I recommend them? Heck Ya!!! Are they fast, clean, and organized? Beyond my imagination. Were their prices fair? Better than any other place we received quotes from. Sometimes you have to give the little guy a chance, and honestly, they were more professional than some of these big carpet companies.

I guess they do everything at your home, which is fine by me (given how horrible the weather has been lately). We set up an appointment for around after dinner time, and so our journey began. From showing up with samples, upon samples, upon samples of carpeting in color and texture, to us choosing and making our purchase decision, to having the carpet installed and project complete, took less than 72 hours. Carpet was down in one day!! I was AMAZED at the customer service and professionalism of the employees. We even received complimentary design ideas from the sales person, which was a huge plus, considering my husband and I have no clue about these things.The carpet we picked out is sensational. It's Dreamweaver Cosmopolitan in the color Ash... It's perfect if you're looking for neutral tones. We HIGHLY recommend this company. We see the guy on TV all the time, and decided to try his business and see what happens. Do I recommend them? Heck Ya!!! Are they fast, clean, and organized? Beyond my imagination. Were their prices fair? Better than any other place we received quotes from. Sometimes you have to give the little guy a chance, and honestly, they were more professional than some of these big carpet companies.

At first, I was extremely disappointed because the padding I got was defective. Lumps, poor quality, etc. BUT Shawn went ahead & replaced my padding & carpet for FREE and they were super nice about it, and went over & above. It went from a bad experience to a fantastic one.

Great. They explained everything including addition step needed because the basement had been waterproofed. They came when they said.
