. The quote was for $5260. I had four estimates and this was the lowest. He was very prepared. All the papers he gave me were very informative. I read everything. He was a kind of upfront about everything. I like the fact that he followed up through phone calls. He was on time. I would use him or even get a quote from him in the future. If I was paying I would have picked him. But now the insurance company would be doing the roof and paying for it.

They did a great job. I would defitely use this company again in the future.

Jim came out and gave us an estimation. He was one of three companies we got a quote from. They were right in the middle of the three quotes. The reason we picked them was because of Jim's integrity. He did not try to push his company on us and he let us know he was available to answer any questions we had about the work. They came out and started to strip off the old roof and while that was happening, the truck came and delivered supplies. We had some rainy mornings so work was delayed but as soon as things cleared up they were there working away. The crew was very nice and the music that they listened to was great. It was very respectful and family friendly. I would highly recommend this company for your roofing needs, insulation needs and gutter needs. After the work was done, Jim came out and inspected the roof and everything else. He fixed some things that were left and went around and found stuff in the shrubs that was missed by the cleaning crew. There was a part he was not happy with and he had them come back out and fix it. I am so please and happy that we went with Richard's Roofing!

I called Richards Roofing because I had used them before for a roof repair. I left a message and my call was returned within 30 minutes and he indicated that he would stop off later in the day. He stopped off about 4 hours later and inspected my roof. He made a minor repair to the flashing and did not charge me anything. He asked me to call him when it rained again to let him know if the problem was fixed. I have always been very satisfied with their service and I like the fact that he knew I was a repeat customer and wanted to be sure that my problem was fixed.

They were very professional and punctual. Estimate wasn't quite the cheapest estimate I received but definitely reasonable and very detailed so that I understood the quote and possible extra charges if needed. I didn't feel like I would be overcharged for every little extra, so that was comforting. The roof was done in one day! My only complaint is that while they installed flashing around the chimney, the flashing wasn't sealed. I've been told by others that it is common for roofers not seal the flashing, but I do not know whether or not this is true. Also, a house that Richards Roofing recently re-roofed down the street has the flashing sealed. I had another company seal the flashing on my home when I had my chimney re-capped. I would still recommend Richards Roofing because the roof looks great and I've had no other problems. But I would make sure they seal the flashing around the chimney.

I wasn't sure what was happening, and found that they had said they do inspections. When I spoke with someone they said they would be here at noon or before. His name was Jim, and he was quite pleasant. They arrived at 11, and walked on my roof to inspect it. They informed me that it was most likely an animal that made the noise. They weren't going to charge me at all, however I gave them $20 for their time and peace of mind. I would've given him more, however he said $20 would pay for the gas to get there. If I ever have any problems with my roof or need a new one, I will definitely be calling Richards.

They were great and I was happy with the work they did. There were a few delays because of weather, but I didn?t have any problems when they did the work. They cleaned up well.

Very friendly and professional. Only negative was mess of dust left in garage, maybe because it was a detached structure less attention paid to neatness inside of garage, though outside debris around house and garage was thoroughly cleaned up after job was completed. So if having your garage re-decked, we would recommend covering areas you don't want full of dust, etc. Price seemed a bit steep, however we did not get other estimates as we were a bit pressed for time and Richards responded immediately while we were waiting on other companies to call us back for an estimate. Overall, we were very impressed with initial meeting/estimate that we felt very confident hiring them for the job. We have also called them back recently to evaluate a possible block in one of our eaves/downspouts during the winter (heavy icicles) and they were extremely responsive in coming out to assess it, determined block to be at ground level (where it runs under our bricked walkway), not fixed yet ground was still frozen at time of call. However, we were again very impressed with responsiveness, thoroughness, and friendliness of service and anticipate excellent service in the future working with this company. Very pleased overall! Did they go out of business?? Was not able to get any call back in 2011on some follow up issues we had w/ roof.... too bad.

Jim was the salesman and was on site at the beginning and end. He was clear and to the point. No salesman sales jive. Yes he is pleasant. I found one piece of roofing debris, ONE! My roof is large and it was a mess and crap was everywhere out of necessity during tear off. ONE piece of left over debris. The gutters were cleaned out as well and I mean they scrapped them clean. They had a very experienced crew working and the job makes our home look fabulous. We stood in the street for 30 minutes after the crews left just, well marveling at the difference. We used GAF shingles with the entire GAF "system" deck armor, ice shield, and starter shingles as specified by GAF. We have a life time guarantee as well. Richards Roofing was the best quote off the bat. Each company and there were many was higher in their quote. Richard's Roofing is solely a roofing company. You get your best deal with a company that does the specific task your looking to have done. I found them here on Angie's list. Yes they had some disgruntled past customers. Some people cannot be pleased, we all know that. Would I recommend them, I think it's obvious I would. I think you can quote 3 maybe 4 companies but you are making a mistake not the include Richard's Roofing in the bid process. I will be using them again for insulation. I am very satisfied, I highly recommend them and honestly I could not be happier. I also believe I got a quality job for the best price bar none.

They did a very nice job. They came back and took care of a situation they encountered because my insulation was too close to the edge of the roof and it was covering the ventilation spots so they came back when it got cooler because it was too hot for the man to get up there. They blew the insulation an inch away from the roof. This was their own idea. They knew what needed to be done and they followed up on it. I liked it and it was good. They came when they said they were going to come. They brought so many men that they got the job done in one day. The follow up was good. They were very responsible. The price was moderate. They weren?t the cheapest but I thought they were the best choice.

They performed the job in a reasonable period of time. We, however, had to have them come out twice again to find the leak around the chimney, but they did find it and fixed it.

We experienced a leak in our roof and called Richards Roofing the next business day. Jim answered the phone and came promptly. He went on the roof, determined the problem was an ice dam, and suggested a solution. He arranged for his crew, went to three different supply stores to find the right color cable, and the job was finished before dark. The installers were polite, friendly and accomodating. The price quoted was fair and he even gave me the senior citizen discount which I had forgotten to request when I accepted his bid. I have waited to write the review to make sure the source of the leak was found. I believe it was. I was very satisfied and grateful.

I had gone to Angie's List to check out four other roofing contractors who had given us estimates. I saw the positive reviews for Richards, and decided to call them. Jim, the sales person, returned my evening call, showed up early for a 10am appointment the next morning, and gave me an estimate $600 less than the nearest competitor, using comparable materials. I accepted, and they were able to begin the job by noon the same day. They finished by 3:30pm the following day. Jeremy and his crew were very professional. They had to replace a lot of decking plywood that had de-laminated. They made sure to tarp our plantings and grounds, and cleaned up well afterwards, except for nails underneath the dumpster. They caused a small hole in our master bedroom ceiling, which they had repaired by a drywall company the next weekday. The dumpster company damaged the edge of our asphalt drive, and Jim called them to come back to fix it (Hasn't been done yet). There were some extra costs for a skylight that had started to rot, and more decking sheets to be replaced than expected. But, they only charged me for the cost of the new skylight (not for installing it), and charged $25 per deck sheet over the six sheets built into their estimate (Other companies would have charged from $32 to $50 per sheet). The other companies I called were also knowledgeable and professional. But Richards Roofing had strong reviews on Angie's List, and a better price. I highly recommend them.

I called for an estimate in mid-October and Jim came out to the house. He suggested that we wait to clean the gutters until around Thanksgiving so that the majority of the pine needles would have fallen and we would actually have clean gutters throughout the winter. When I called to schedule the appointment it was done in a timely manner. I will be using them again in the spring.

My roof sagging is two areas. Contracted Richard?s Roofing to: Do necessary reconstruction to true the roof, Install 3d tile, replace all plywood, Install ridge vents, proper soffit venting and install 3 insulated exhaust ducts in the bathrooms. Problems encountered were: workers punched a hole in ceiling (fortunately in a closet) during work, did not clean up the yard after completion. This winter I had water leaking in celling around one of the bathroom vents. I went into the attic to check for problems and found the 3 stacks that were installed were not insulated as requested one was not attached to the roof vent and the one in the bathroom that had the water leak had not been attached properly to the exhaust fan and condensate was pouring onto the ceiling drywall and the, insulation was pulled up in numerous places, there was trash and waste scattered about, ducts were not insulated as requested, wood was hanging loose on several temporary risers that were used during roof leveling and only partially removed. They reduced by bill in compensation for the hole in the ceiling ($250) and yard cleanup ($50) if I would take care of them . When I called about the water leak in the bathroom the owner came out to inspect the problem and I told him what I had found in the attic area and what damage the water had caused to my bathroom ceiling. He told me the water was caused by condensation in the duct. I told him that I had requested insulated duct work on the original quote. He sent out a person to replace the ducts with insulated ducts and install them properly, clean up the trash in the attic and remove multiple pieces of lumber strewn about in the attic. There was no offer to repair the ceiling that the water had caused due to not having the insulated exhaust ducts that I had requested originally. I will have to call someone to redo the ceiling as the area that will have to be repaired is larger than I am capable of doing properly.

My experience with Richards Roofing Company went really well. Everything was done in a timely manner. They had their full crew on this job. Their price was good. They were really attentive. They were really quick. I don?t remember the exact price I paid, it was somewhere between $4000 and $5000.

They're punctual and their pricing is very good. The quality of the work was excellent. I spent a lot of time picking the shingle out and the morning of the installation, the incorrect color of shingles were delivered. As soon as I called them they took care of it.

The crew worked hard, Jim stopped in several times to check in, and we had a great experience with them all. I appreciated the crew and the way they conducted themselves. There was no yelling, no swearing, just a lot of hard work. They were all very polite as well. The whole experience was so positive and although it is never fun to get a new roof, I am so happy we chose Richards Roofing!!
