The roof was up and on quickly, the cleanup for that portion was excellent I saw very few nails. I choose this company not only for the price but they recycle the materials both roofing and siding. I was told by several other companies that I wouldn't find anyone that recycled because it "costs more" and somehow they did it for the best price. The siding looks great! The repair required another color which closely matched mine. I was called and asked to come out and pick between close colors which I appreciated. My only complaint from the entire experience was that the cleanup after the siding wasn't great. I picked up 28 nails (and counting) from one side of the house. Aside from this small concern I'm quite happy with the situation. The installation wasn't at the same time so my recommendation to potential customers is to supervise the cleanup if you get multiple services that don't overlap.

These days you see so few really good, kind people that when you do encounter them it is a real treat. I live in Royal Oak, I have a two story house and the wind had blown my gutter away from the house so it was sagging in the middle. I have no ladder that will reach that high. I had called a couple of places listed as Gutter Repair and Replacement but one was too busy said I should buy the Big Deal coupon (even though the work shouldn't be that expensive). One didn't call me back, one actually didn't do repairs. I called Richards Roofing because I liked the reviews the customers had given them. Being local was important to me. I left a message and Jim called me right back. He said the repair sounded simple and he could be out the next morning. He was there the next morning as he said and was even early. By the time I took my kids to school he was almost done! WOW. He added brackets to support the gutter too. Then he even trimmed my vine that was growing up around the down spout. It was a beast and he did a great job. He was done in no time. Very pleasant and very professional. Jim didn't even charge me!!! Now that is rare. Feels like a neighbor taking care of me. I know I need a roof in a year or so and I will definitely be calling Richards Roofing. If you are in the Royal Oak, Troy, Madison Height, Oakland county area call them they are great!

The work was started and completed in a timely manner. The quality of work was great. The workmen cleaned up following completion of the work.

Very well. Would definitely use this company again. Very prompt and Jim tried hard to please. Clean up was pretty good although we did find some nails in the driveway. That was our only complaint. Price was the best of all the companies we called. 3 of the other companies we called for estimates made appointments but never showed up. Found this company on Angies List and would definately call again. The best thing is that is was totally a no pressure sale. I would not have hired them if it was.

Richard's was very professional. I was able to set up the cleaning with a phone call. They did a neat job.

They did an excellent job. I trust that he did good work. They were timely, and they did a good job. I had a problem where some of the plastic paper went down into my gutters; I called them, and they took care of it.

The contract is their proposal, I would suggest buyers specify them pulling a permit, because its not on their proposal. Also expect 10% for roof board replacement, not specified in proposal . Overall the job went very well, they did a great job and roof looks great. They also did great job cleabing up debris.

I was really impressed. They were really good. The price was good. The owner himself was really great and prompt. The only negative experience was with the measurements guy. They had a delay for the roofing one day and the owner he called right away and said they could not do it. They rescheduled promptly. I would highly recommend them.

The owner was very nice to talk to when he came over and explained stuff. Unfortunately, the workers that came to do the job didn't do it as originally described and left nails and stuff on the deck. The shingles blew off a few weeks ago. They came out and repaired them, and then the following day some more shingles blew off so they came back out again. They were not cheap shingles that I had purchased and they said that had not happened before. The price was good, but I don't know that I would hire them again.

Things went well ... first, they replied immediately and were here within two days . The call, set up appt. and work appt. were fast and EASY ... they didn't require that we be home for the estimate and took the initiative and began work when I was running late - FANTASTIC! VERY professional. We still have a gutter overflow problem but it's from the original work done by another copmany, not Richards. Richards went out of their way to diagnose the existing problem and offered solutions we're considering. Will definitely be calling this year to do the gutters and take a look at our lack of insulation!.

Excellent, I had an initial problem with a delay in getting a quote but everything else went smooth. Great service and workmanship.

We were completely satisfied and were then able to have inside water damage to the home repaired by an interior construrction specialist.

We found excessive moisture in the attic and thought there was a leak. We called Richards Roofing and he arrived 30 minutes later. The roof was inspected and no major problems found. He repaired a loose shingle and did some caulking. We were very happy with fair price of $30 charged.

I called for an estimate and was told someone would call be back but no one did so basically I was given the run-around.Didn't even follow-up on my call.They were horrible I had money and was ready to pay.

I am very pleased with Richard's Roofing. I initially called them because we had reliability problems with our last roofer. Jim was great. He came out to the house and diagnosed the problem which was not a roof leak and gave up suggestions on how to fix it. He didn't charge us a dime and gained a customer in the future. We will go back to Richards for our roofing needs in the future.

Does not return phone calls or email. I called because this company ACTIVELY ADVERTISES roof repair and makes a special note for seniors. It would be nice just to have received a call that this company could not do the job, was too busy, or whatever. Instead I waited and waited and heard nothing. Since no one would even discuss roof repair, I used the money to pre-pay my funeral. I have voice mail and caller ID, so it's unlikely that a call was returned and I missed it. Definitely no reply to email either. Really leaves a senior in a dangerous situation not knowing if they will receive help. I found this to be rather typical of roofing companies. Therefore the thousands went toward my funeral instead. Very sad to be treated so badly.

Overall the installation experience was excellent, though it took a few days longer than expected (6 in total). Also a few window screens were damaged in the tear-off (falling debris), but once they were alerted, they offered to pay for their repair. All my questions regarding the chimney flashing and roof ventilation were honestly answered.

I was very impressed with this company and the work they completed. They stuck with their work on the discount they gave me. They gave me 5% off for being an Angie's List member. I am very satisfied and they were excellent to deal with.

Called on a Friday to make an appointment to have someone come out to provide me with an estimate. Waited all day for someone to show up on Monday (my scheduled date). Nobody called or came by. Called Richards and left a message and nobody has called back yet. It's now Wednesday.
