Richards & Swift Roofing

It was excellent. The man is quite nice and professional and they did an excellent job. I did spend more than the big deal. They worked hard to get the job done early. They showed up the next day and got the job done when they said they would. I would use them again. The only thing was, they did not get everything cleaned up, I walked around the next day and picked up about 50 roofing nails, other than that I was very happy with them.

We called Richards Roofing the week of 14 July to get an estimate for replacing our gutters. Richards Roofing scheduled an appointment for 22 July at 10:00 am. They had not shown up by 11:00, and so I called Richards Roofing to see if they still planned to give us an estimate later that day or whether we could reschedule the estimate for another day. I left a detailed message that included my name, address, and phone number in case they had lost or misplaced this information. I never received a response from Richards Roofing.

They started at 8:30 am and finished by 7:30 pm. They didn't have enough material to completely finish the first day and came back the next morning just like they said they would and it took him an hour to finish. We are very pleased the way they handled the job, they made sure we had a way out of the house at all times for our dogs, they cleaned up the mess after it was all done. I couldn't tell that they were there after they finished. Every time I called I talked to Jim and he even helped me to get the angies list discount to make it cheaper. I would recommend them to anyone.

I could not be more pleased with the results and my experience of working with Richards Roofing. Jimmy, the estimator, could not have been nicer or more professional. After I told him what I wanted, we looked over the house together and he thoroughly explained each step of the project, why it was necessary and how his crew was going to do it. We signed the contract that day and scheduled the work for the next week. He kept me informed right up to the day the work started. Jimmy reviewed the project on-site with his crew when they began and the job went very smooth. It was brutally hot (near 100 degrees with high humidity) but the project was wrapped up on schedule. The workers were professional and courteous and answered any questions that I had. I give Richards Roofing my highest recommendation.

Jim came out to provide a quote that was very reasonable. His team was able to begin working in a short period of time. Overall, they did a nice job. They did damage a few of our screens and repaired some of those. Clean-up was ok, several nails were left behind, but it would have been almost impossible to get all of them.

They came out and gave an immediate quote, with the work being performed the following day as scheduled.

I called for an estimate and Jim came out the next day and offered a very fair price in my opinion. I decided to go with Richard's Roofing and they did the job about a week later. The crew showed up early and finished the job just before 2pm. The clean up and communication could have been a little better, but overall I am very satisfied with my new roof. During the installation of the new vent pipe, a little bit of drywall was damaged. I showed Jim the next day and he knocked off a couple hundred bucks off the price and fixed up one of my gutters free of charge. I recommend Richard's Roofing to anyone looking for a quality roof at a decent price.

Had to delay work one day due to weather but that was understandable. Crew performed initial work of tear off of existing shingles and installation of new roof on addition in one day, came back in morning of next to make minor repairs during coolest part of the day. Cleaned up after they were don't and took old shingles.

Our experience with Richards Roofing was exactly how it should be -- fair pricing, great product, accessible and responsive point of contact, on-schedule completion. I received quotes from three companies before I selected Richards; they were the last of three to provide a quote but left a great impression since they were the only company to provide copies of their insurance certificates as well a book of sample shingle colors (I carried that book around for two weeks while I tried to figure out the color to select!). Jim (our point of contact) was always quick to return my calls and answer questions leading up to the job. On the day of the installation, the Richards crew arrived on time and completed the roof before the work day was even over. The roof looks fantastic, and I highly recommend Richards Roofing!

Overall we were quite satisfied with Richards when we had our roof replaced. Their price was very good, and although it hasn't stood the test of time yet, the quality of the work they did seems good so far. They were very professional and got the job done very quickly. They also did a fairly good job cleaning up, and kept the damage around our house from flying debris to a minimum. We did have a couple of small problems with them though. They didn't do a great job of communicating about exactly when they'd be coming out to do the work. They only let me know a couple days before hand. The other problem wasn't so much with Richard's, but with the subcontractor they use to deliver the roofing materials and dumpster. We were told that the roofers would be there to start on Thursday at 8 AM. No one told us that the delivery people would be showing up at our house unannounced at 6:30. And then about 7:30 Richards called us to tell us that they were going to have to reschedule for friday because it was going to rain. So we had stacks of roofing materials all over our house and a dumpster blocking our garage for an extra day. In the end though, we were pretty happy with the job they did.

He was prompt, courteous, well-spoken, knowledgeable, confident. He made a good impression on me. A list of past customers was provided. All people that I reached by phone were well-pleased with the workmanship.

Called and made an appointment for an estimate. Never showed up and didn't even have the courtesy to call.

Very fair and professional. Didn't try to sell me a new roof yet. Owner came out when I had a question. Good to work with.

Jim told me what to expect . The large crew showed up at 7;00am and started working I wasn't around during the job but I returned home 5:30pm and they where just finishing up. The roof looks really good and my yard was cleaned up so you couldn't even tell I just had a new roof put on. They do what they say they are going to do I'm very happy.

I used a roofing contractor. They were quick. They were clean. I talked directly to the owner. The price was fair.

He did a great job. He caulked and sealed all the leaks.

I Called them back after the replaced my roof, because my gutters were clogged; they left tile and debris in my gutters form when they replaced the roof. The owner Jim came out and unclogged my gutters, but left a mess, all the tile and debris on the lawn and charged me 100 for the gutter cleaning. I had to call again because the broke my down spouts, Jim came back out and put it together, the drain spout was torn apart, rain is pouring all out of the spouts, its broken into two sections and one section is on the ground, therefore he never completely fixed it!!

Jim and the team were very professional, a great experience overall. Will recommend Richards Roofing to others.

Richards Roofing did excellent work. The representative came out during a snowstorm to give us our estimate -- we figured he might have to cancel due to the weather, but he was here early! Everything was explained in detail. The work was completed in one day and everything was cleaned up.

Richards Roofing starting tearing off the old roof on 18 Feb 2013 at 8:00 AM. The workers stayed to 7:00 PM on 18 Feb 2013 to get as much they could due to a predicted snow storm the next day. On 19 Feb 2013, the workers showed up at 8:00 AM and the roof was completed finished by 12:00 PM. They cleaned up the old nails, shingles, papers and other debris.

They did not show up for the estiimate and didn't call to cancel the appointment.

My house is a 2400 square foot colonial. The roof was in good shape, but we wanted it torn off and replaced. I think they did a good job and we have not had a problem yet, but the contract said that we would have a warranty on the work and material, but I have yet to receive the warranty paper. I have called them several times, but they have yet to reply.

Workers were prompt, hard working, and kept mess to a minimum. We had a little problem with the shingles over the front porch and they promptly came back and fixed the problem after my husband telephoned the compant.
