My experience was great. Jim came out and gave me the estimate when I wanted it. Job was scheduled within a week. Completed within one day. You cleaned up extremely happy with the job thank you Richard roofing. I would give them a call.

In the morning of February 7th, my living room ceiling began to leak. I called Richard's Roofing and within 30 minutes they were there to remove the ice dams and snow from my roof and apply calcium. The leaking stopped within 2 hours. I was very pleased with their quick response and friendliness.

They were quick and hard working guys. Unfortunately I had problems. As part of the quote I requested an unused roof vent be removed, but he didn't tell the workers. Luckily I was home, unluckily they had completed the roof around that section and had to tear it off to remove it. Also I asked that part of the job was to put heat tape on my other home, they also did the roof on that one, but I had to call repeatedly to get that job done. Each time they said it would be done by a certain date, but those days came and went and I'd have to call again. My current roof leaked due to an ice dam, I had to call 3 times to get them to come out. They'll often tell you they'll be at your place on a certain day, but that day will pass without a call saying they need a few more days. I think they need an office \ appointment manager.

Jim is awesome. All work was done Ina very professional manner. Workers are very polite and courteous. Will highly recommend them.

I received quotes from A & Z flat roof specialists for $112 k, from Kearns Brothers roofing for $20k. Both of these contractors would tear off the existing roof. Both would guarantee their new roof for 10 yrs. Richards roofing said that he had a silicone product that had been used for many years in California with great success. The product is guaranteed for 50 yrs. He didn't have to tear my flat roof off and was able to put the silicon material on with paint rollers. I also got to choose what color I wanted. His estimate was well below the other two. He was prompt, did the work quickly, came back several times to check. Overall an excellent experience. Now all I need to do is wait 50 years to see if the warranty holds up. Les

I contacted the company after finding them on Angie’s List. They had a current “A” rating, were the most responsive, and offered one of the lowest estimates. They were able to start the job about four days after agreeing on the quote. They job was expected to take one day, but it did take about two to finish. Cleanup-up was fine and everything went pretty good.

Called and left message about some work I needed done. Never returned my call.

The crew finished my roof in one day as promised in spite of working around the rain. They did an excellent clean up job. The gutters were finished in one day also as promised. The price was fair. Jim was very easy to work with and very responsive. My roof was done within 10 days of my estimate..

I shopped 6 separate roofing companies on Angie's List. It was easy to identify the "storm chasers" after the Hailstorm as they wanted to know what the Insurance Company was offering as the replacement cost. I even had 1 company, (Restorations you see on the TV) flat out ask me "How much is your Insurance Company giving you, that's what we will do it for" without even inspecting my roof. That said, Richard's Roofing proposed a fair price, slightly more that 2 other service providers, however they thoroughly inspected my roof, offered alternatives and suggestions of work to be done in advance of the roof installation, i.e. taking the opportunity to replace the rotten wood to get a good clean and tight drip edge, building a saddle around my fireplace to prevent accumulation of water, and a few other home improvement suggestions. Before I decided on Richards Roofing, I offered 2 service providers to revise their bids before I made a decision. Richard's Roofing stood firm on quality materials, etc. vs. trying to undercut the competition with cheaper materials on the revised proposal. I respected their straightforwardness and honesty (hard to find these days). There was no post purchase buyer dissonance. I would recommend Richard's Roofing for any roofing job in Southeastern Michigan.

I had a great experience working with Richards Roofing. From my first contact seeking a quote, through the final payment of my bill, the personnel at Richards Roofing were courteous and professional. The work was completed quickly, and the finished product was high quality and looked great. I would recommend Richards Roofing to anyone seeking gutter, siding, or roofing replacement. I'll be contacting them again soon to perform a looming roof replacement at my residence.

Positives - Jim gave us the best price among three estimates we received. Jim is also very pleasant and easy to work with. The quality of the gutter installation is good. The quality of the roof installation appears MOSTLY good except for some high spots which Jim assured me would smooth themselves out over time. Negatives - Jim wasn't onsite for the installation; the crew he sent behaved crudely toward each other which bothered my wife and our neighbor. The tar-like sealant that was needed in a few areas of the roof installation was applied sloppily, which I will have to fix. The clean-up was good except for two things: the crew left cigarette butts and a few dozen nails in areas where it would have been easy to see and pick up had they really wanted to do a good job. Also, the dumpster they parked in my driveway stayed there for a week after the job was done; I asked Jim to come out and do a walk-around before I paid him, and he was surprised no one had called to get it removed. (He made a call and it was gone the next morning.) Overall, working with Richards Roofing was an "okay" experience. The price was great and the quality was just good enough where I would probably use them again. However, communication is not a strength for this company, so be prepared to have to initiate conversations. Also, make your expectations clear up front. For example, I assumed a walk-around to explain my new roof would be automatic before handing over almost $10K, but it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't insisted.

We were more than pleased with entire experience. Communications were extremely fast and work was 100% completed and area cleaned up in one day as promised. Our roof looks fantastic and no problems whatsoever since it's been done. We had several estimates and no one could beat their price and Jim was so easy to work with.. We give Richards Roofing the Highest Recommendation and encourage anyone to use them with no worries. Would recommend to our family, friends and neighbors.

They came out the same day I called, did the work, in and out in no time, very professional, I would highly recommend.

Richards was a good choice for our house re-roof. We had one leak issue just after the job was done and they came and fixed it.

This is the second time Richards Roofing has provided service. And as usual, they were prompt in responding to my call. Jim came out the next day, (on time as scheduled), investigated the source of a leak in our ceiling, only to find a hole in our roof. He repaired it, inspected the rest of the roof for any holes and provided advice on maintaining the gutters. All at no cost because I am a repeat customer! Jim is personable and professional. I would highly recommend Richards Roofing to anyone in need of a new roof or a repair.

They finished the work with in 2-3 days. They were on time, they worked all the way through. They also advised me what products to use and it was the best on the market. They stayed within the price they quoted me, even after additional shingles and boards. We were very happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone.

I called in the a.mand the crew was out by mid afternoon. I was told it would most likely be the next morning as they were doing alot of roof snow removal so I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up early. They were quick and took care to not damage my roof shingles. I had called several other roofers with no success.

I also left a voicemail for Jim and described what work I was looking to have done along with my name and phone number. That was about three weeks ago. After not getting a response for a week I called back a second time. No answer, again, and the voice mailbox was full. Have gone with another company.

I called and had to leave a message on Jim's voice mail. I left my name, phone number and a brief description of what work I needed done. I have not heard from him or anyone else. It has been 7 days! Call someone else.

Richard's was very responsive to my request for estimate. He answered all of my questions and made sure that I understood all of my options. I was forced to reschedule the work twice because of another contractor not completing his work. The company went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. His crews arrived as scheduled and completed all work in less time than was estimated. The clean up was comprehensive. The company went out of its way to make sure that I was happy. I pointed out some issues with my gutters and asked for an estimate to repair the gutters. Instead of providing an estimate he went ahead and repaired my gutters and down spout. He did not charge any additional for the gutter repairs. Richard's gave me a cash discount. My roof is beautiful. I I highly recommend this company.
