Description of Work: We had lost heating in our geothermal heating system. Team Bob's came out, assessed the problem, got the system working temporarily and quickly ordered the needed part. They retuned within a week to install the part. The service technician was very professional, thorough and fast.

Description of Work: Replaced back flow value to sprinkler system, replaced basket on kitchen sink. This last price was VERY expensive and I just could not justify the cost of a plastic basket of over $200.00 It just seemed excessive.

Description of Work: I called them because I had a leak in my shower, where the shower head comes out of the wall. I started the repair but realized it was beyond my abilities so I called Team Bob's. They responded rapidly and person showed up on time calling ahead. I have a mobile home and they knew this prior to coming out. The guy did the repair but was unable to connect it properly to the wall saying he did not have the parts for a mobile home. I asked what was I suppose to do with it just hanging there with me unable to even place the shower head on it. He had no ideas. Told me the hole he had to place in the wall could be covered by going to Lowe's and purchasing a cover designed for this but he did not have any on his truck!!! Charged me $148.00 and left. I went to a local mobile home place and purchased the proper plumbing and a cover and went back home and did the job myself. Pretty sad service.

We appreciate (deleted member name) critique of our attentiveness to time and responsiveness to his need. As a service company we strive to meet and exceed our customer’s needs and requests. In this situation, (deleted member name) has left out a few details in his complaint. The client called at 10:02am on 3/29/13 he informed the office that he thought that the main shower line was stripped where the shower head attaches. He stated that it has been slow leaking for a few years and he just arrived back from Florida and it was now leaking really badly. At the initial call, the service call charge was explained, and he was aware that it was a $95.00 charge and that any additional work would be charged accordingly. Our technician arrived within half an hour. The technician reviewed, analyzed, and explained what a solution would be. In most cases, we have parts available to complete a repair on the spot. While, as the client stated, we were aware that this was a mobile home, it is physically impossible to carry every possible part available for all plumbing needs on a service truck. At times it is necessary get parts elsewhere to ensure the repair can be completed that same day, which turned out to be the situation in this case. Like all for-profit service industries, we must charge for parts. The service technician found that it would be necessary to cut into the wall to access the back piping to find out where the leak was occurring. All of this was agreed to, and the service ticket was signed by the client prior to any work being completed. Once our technician found out what the main problem was, he explained that he could go and get additional parts which would cause more charges. The service technician also explained how the system worked, where the client could get additional parts, and furthermore why the unit was leaking. In this particular system, which is by no means the same as in every other mobile home, there is a plastic shower arm holding a four (4) pound handheld shower head, which creates additional stress to the plastic arm. The service technician took the time to open the wall, took pieces apart and also placed the client’s own new shower head on. He explained to the client how to further the repair, where to find any additional parts, and how to complete the repair himself, as (deleted member name) indicated that he didn’t want Team Bob’s to complete the repair. In review of the above, there is no indication that poor service was provided, we acknowledged the problem, attempted to correct the problem, and educated the client on what to do, including how to complete the repair himself and at a lower rate than we would be able to provide. It is unfortunate that the client does not see the value in the education provided by the technician, but we were not allowed the opportunity to correct this impression at the time of service, as we were not informed of the client’s dissatisfaction until this posting in an online medium. Thank you for the opportunity to clarify this situation.

After getting a quote on fixing our furnace, we decided to call around and check other companies pricing. Bobs would have charged us more than double what we were quoted from other companies. Not only that, but they charged us $95.00 for the trip here, and when he realized he didn't have the part we needed on his truck, he said it would cost us an addition $60.00 just for him to go pick up the part. As if it's our fault he came unprepared for the trip. On top of that, they wanted to charge an extra $144.00 for labor because it's a Sunday. I understand that weekends will be more expensive, but that seemed a bit excessive on top of all the other charges. In total they quoted getting our furnace fixed would cost us around $900. After the new company showed up, it turns out Bobs didn't even correctly diagnose the problem. We would have spent $900.00, and it wouldn't have fixed the problem! We ended up spending less than $300.00, got the right problem fixed, and it took around 20 minutes. I will NEVER call Bobs for anything. They seem to only care about making money, and don't care about the quality of service. They are not knowledgeable, they talked to us like we were stupid for questioning their charges. I can't stress enough how much of a bad experience this was.
Description of Work: Our furnace broke at some point in the night, and we called Bob's first thing in the morning. They were here fairly quickly and diagnosed what was wrong.

In this instance, our Service Manager did reach out and spoke with the client to get more information and get an understanding of why this was such a difficult experience. In the correspondance between the client and our Service Manager a resolution was made. An excerpt from the final email from our Service Manager to the client: I do understand your concern in that you may have spent money unnecessarily. We do our best to perform at the highest level of service possible, but as humans unfortunately it is always possible to make mistakes. I have discussed your situation with all of our technicians in a service meeting and reiterated the importance of checking everything thoroughly before announcing a diagnosis. I apologize again for the poor perception you were given of our company and our Team, and for the error we made in diagnosing the problem. It caused unnecessary worry for you and that was definitely not our intent. Also, as to the charge for having to pick up a part, our suppliers charge us to open their shop afterhours to pick up parts and that is the charge that you should have been quoted (depending on which supplier, it can be from $50 - $150). Because our technician was supposed to have the part on his truck, we would not charge a pickup fee for his time to make the trip. The technicians do not have access to customer records in our database outside of business hours, but myself and other managers are usually available to take calls if necessary and authorize any pricing adjustments, so if there was any question about the charges, our technician should have contacted me. It is certainly not your fault that he had used the stocked part for another customer prior to your service call. I will be processing a credit for the $95 that you paid for our service call. You should expect a check within ten days or so. I know that you now have a service agreement with a competitor for next fall but hope that in future you will reconsider our services. I can assure you that we will not have a problem of this nature again. Thank you, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We strive to be the organization that can be recommended and look to resolve any issue that is brought to our attention.

In less than a year it broke, and plumber charged me an additional $210.00 for replacing it saying I had broken it. They say I over torgued it. This is a seasonal cottage where the faucet got used rarely. I have manged to turn faucets on and off in other homes without wrecking them for a very long time. I say the product is a bad one if we can break it off in our hands with no awareness. I contacted Woodford and they said the same thing. Unless you can do the installation yourself, and do not mind re buying it, avoid this. Additionally I was told on the first install that the original plumber had installed a faucet that was too long and therefore more fragile, but it was still my fault.
Description of Work: Had an outdoor faucet made by Woodford, installed by Team Bob for $210.00.

They were called to fix a heating problem. They said they fixed it (3 hours later ! lol!) but then as soon as they left it was failing with the same problem. Then when we called to tell them what happened thye said, "Well when I left, it was working." Then we wondered when they could come back to finish the job as it never was finished, then they said "Are you hard of hearing?" So, we said "You aren't getting paid for this!" Since then they have harrased us with collection agencies 4 times, but since they did what the did, they cannot get our hard earned $$.

Our technician was called to the premises after our normal office hours to resolve the issue of no heat. He checked to make sure that the gas was turned on at the meter and unit, and found the unit to be in a locked out state. He also noticed that the draft motor was continuously running and the pressure switch was not pulled in. He also cleaned the port, cycled the unit, checked the ac coil, and finally checked the filters. He also stated that the client requested that he change the temperature from 200 degrees and increase it to a set point of 220 degrees. He was also asked to change the thermostat to read 95 degrees. Once all of these changes had transpired, he cycled the unit one last time to ensure everything was running properly. We understand that if there is a challenge with the work performed, then we need to be notified in the office to expedite a remediation and eliminate any probability of miscommunication. It is my understanding that this call was completed after our normal business hours; and therefore, no other communication has been made with our office to remediate any challenges. Our office has made numerous attempts to contact this client to clear this billing, however, we have not had any return response in over a one-year’s time frame. We have been trying to work through a solution with the client and would like the opportunity to work together. We strive to be the organization that you can recommend and encourage opportunities to speak with our clients to learn how we as an organization can improve. Thank you for the opportunity to allow us this medium to work to resolve a challenge.

Original technician did a poor job on July 15. I called the company and they handled the shortfall very well and sent an experienced plumber on July 17. Had to have recall on October 25 and I was very pleased with the way everything was handled.

They never showed up. After talking with several people around here I was told to give Walters and Hemming a call (http://www.waltersandhemming.com/, 231-946-5212). They did and excellent job and I recommend them too.
Description of Work: We had bought a house near Traverse City in Holiday Hills, and asked Team Bob's to come and check out the the furnace and A/C. They said they'd get back to me, but never did, even though I contacted them 3 times.

Description of Work: Came same day (didn't have to, not an emergency.) Diagnosed furnace repair. Noted that a part which may have caused failure had been identified by manufacturer as faulty.
