After looking over the reviews on Angie's list, I chose them to clean our seasonal home at Boyne Highlands. Wonderful job! Friendly service and reasonable rates. I will use them again.

They were quick and they offered me a discount. They did a really good job. I was very pleased.

We came back to our lake house to find water in the finished basement. I found Stanley Steemer on Angie's list and gave them a call. I spoke with Jessie (the owner). He had a team up to my house within two hours (on a Saturday). They immediately evaluated, took pictures for insurance and began the clean up and drying process. Over the next week both Jessie and his team checked in and showed up daily to check the progress. They were punctual, professional and courteous. They kept us in the loop during the entire process. We had to leave to return to Chicago for the start of school. Jessie finished the job and coordinated people to come in and replace the carpet padding, stretch the carpet back in to place and replace the floor boards. It was so nice to go up for the long labor day weekend and have the place put back together. It was as if nothing ever happened. Thanks to Jessie and his team for making a bad situation which would have been difficult to deal with remotely easy! We will be using them in the spring to clean the carpets. Dependable, professional and honest. Can't beat that!

This company did and awesome job on my carpet. I have had dogs for years, old dogs, puppies, sick dogs so you can imagine the spots I had. Two gentlemen came and were efficient, knowledgeable and very professional. I knew some of the spots were places were the color was actually bleached out so there wasn't much they could do about it. I have cleaned these carpets with a steam cleaner myself for years so there was a fair amount of soap they removed as well. They did offer me extra services and I did buy an expensive spot cleaner, but they were not pushy about it. I am happy with the service and I would use them again.

Arrived with great attitudes, and worked hard to complete the work promptly. Returned, when I called them about an area, that did not come as clean, as I had hoped. They cleaned that area again, but unfortunately, that area of the stairway, the carpet is worn. They were cheerful, and gracious about returning to redo the area, I was not satisfied with. Overall, they exceeded by expectations, with both work, and attitude. Definitely, will use them again, and recommend them to others, wanting clean carpet..

We built a new home east of Grayling, MI, fairly large, and wanted to have a clean startup of our central heating/cooling system, which comprised two geothermal heat pump systems divided into five zones. We did not want any drywall dust, sawdust, cellulose insulation dust or other airborne debris to blow out of the ducts and cause us problems with air quality and housecleaning. So we decided to have the ducts cleaned before ever starting up the systems. We called Stanley Steemer for a quote, the location servicing our area is in Grawn, MI, owner is Jesse. He sent Brandon and Allan to survey our home, they were very nice, and gave us a quote of $1208. This is for two systems, five zones, 23 vents. Their advice was to have them be the last ones in the house, to have the house thoroughly cleaned before they come to prevent repeat contamination. We asked for air duct cleaning references from them, they provided us with two. Those references gave enthusiastically positive recommendations. Eventually we performed the whole-house cleanup and scheduled the duct cleaning for immediately afterward. At this point, we had instituted strict dust control measures in the house, like no sawing or sanding, keeping the door to the garage closed (sawing and sanding were done in the garage), and wearing inside-only shoes or shoe booties in the house. Samantha was our telephone contact and she was always polite and efficient. Turned out that we had to reschedule twice due to delays on our end, they were very accomodating. Finally we had a firm schedule. Jesse called the day before to let us know when to expect his crew, he said between 9:30 and 10:00. Brandon and Allan showed up at 9:10 and promptly went to work. They were polite, efficient, and respectful of our home, wearing shoe booties inside the house. They worked steadily until done, around 5:30. They took many photos of inside the ducts before and after, and there was a large difference. Upon completion, the asked for payment in the exact amount previously quoted. They bring a fairly large truck and park it in the driveway close to the house, and they have to run a large hose (something in the range of 8-12" diameter) into the house to the air handler unit(s). That connects to the big suction fans in the truck. They also have to run one or two small air lines (1" or so) to power the duct tools. It is all a bit noisy but that can't be helped. When we started up the heat pump systems a day or two later, they started up clean with no dust blowing out of the vents. We found no problems attributable to the duct cleaning operation. One thing to know. They have to put some holes in the ducting to connect the large suction hose to and to insert the air hoses with spinning cleaning tools into. There can be quite a few of the small holes (about one inch), depending on the complexity of the ducting and the number of bends. Cutting these holes results in some metal debris falling on the floor, which is not visually obvious at first but gets on the bottoms of your shoes and tracked throughout the house, including new hardwood floors (think scratches). So you will need to be careful of this and clean it all up immediately afterward. A rolling magnet used in construction site cleanup is useful for this. You might want to discuss this with them up front. We are very satisfied and recommend Stanley Steemer for air duct cleaning.

They were good and knowledgeable. They were friendly, polite and a good group to work with. Their pricing was comfortable to other places since I really did shop around with other places.

Overall average to above average experience. Nothing spectacular or nothing dreadful. "add ons" while they are here that weren't previously scheduled were double $quoted. Had them out the second time to do some touch up work and the technician was a little over the top "overachiever" in a bad sense. He really went out of his was to let us know that he was "THE" technician...Really sorta a "Jim Carey cable guy feel to the way he approached. No biggie, Overall would recommend.

They called with an approx. time that they were going to be here and were on time. Both of the men were friendly and professional. They measured then cleaned all the carpets. They moved all the furniture that I asked them to They did a great job.

I asked them for references before hiring them and that is my complaint with them; they never provided them to me; I waited over two weeks for them to provide me the names of people I could contact to verify the quality of their work. I even called them and asked why I had not heard from them. I was assurred that the owner had my request and would be contacting me with the names of the references. He never contacted me and I finally felt that I could not wait any longer and told them to go ahead on a prayer that they would be OK. They were.......especially the dryer duct cleaning...no way I could have done that myself; they had very specialized equipment which did the job efficiently . I would only add that they did not give me a specific time for the carpet cleaning ahead of time....only the day...until the morning of the service when they called with a time frame which they did keep

I had some pretty bad stains that they explained they probably would not be able to be removed. They did make them look a lot better but could not remove them entirely. The guys moved furniture and cleaned under then moved back and did the whole house in about 3 hours.

It went very well. The two guys who did the work were professional and courteous.

Stanley Steemer sent a worker out immediately when I found water in the lower level, probably caused by a cracked hot water heater. After finding out that restoration was going to involve a lot more, I called my insurance agent and found that another company worked well with them. Not being sure I wanted a carpet cleaning company to handle all the drying process, carpentry and re-paneling that was going to be needed, I only went with them for the water extraction. After all work was done by another company, that company re-stretched and cleaned all the carpet, and mentioned that they had to go over and over some rust stains. They thought the rust stains were caused by the equipment Stanley Steemer had used. I would use Stanley Steemer again for cleaning carpets, but probably not for any major water extraction and restoration. I believe they might be very competent in that category, but if I had it to do over, I would have called the restoration company in the first place and had them handle it all. The problem is that when an emergency water situation comes up, you really don't have time to get references and evaluate companies. I called Stanley Steemer only because they had cleaned my carpets before and had done a good job. I think the best recommendation in an emergency water situation is to call your insurance company FIRST and see who they recommend.

The guys were professional and polite and showed up on time. The floors looked great when they were finished. Even the dingy grout in our tile floor came clean and they sealed it so it will stay that way.

The guys who did the job were very thorough and very professional. I was very impressed with how they left my house. They were experts in moving the furniture and replacing it. They were pretty reasonably priced too. I would absolutely use them again.

Kitchen was so big because we had bought this house in 2008 and all the carpet in kitchen was just so filthy. Then my husband said that he couldn’t believe that what the guys had done. They also said that there might be some spots that might reappear after it dries and it did. They also said if we weren’t satisfied then they would come back and redo it again with no charge. Then about two weeks after my husband looked at it instant noticing the spots told that the guys would come out and do it again. He said that they did a great excellent job compared to what it looked like when they first walked in here but he said that if they did it again the spots would come out the second time. My husband was very happy with the living room and he said that it didn’t look like they did anything. They moved the furniture and after the work they put it exactly how it was.
