Description of Work: Installation of a new gas dryer that I purchased from Sears. Bob made a special effort to complete the work before the holiday. Wow!!! Came back a few weeks later at "no charge" when my new dryer didn't seem to heat consistently. Punctual, professional, knowledgeable...I will call Long Lake Plumbing again when the need arises!!!

Description of Work: Replaced vent on roof that ice had broken. Went over and above. Called back same day and called that evening again after looking at situation and was worried I would have a leak that went into wall of kitchen so actually fixed it next morning because it was going to rain that day. It was like a christmas present to have the burden lifted. I was really worried. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: I had a water heater replaced. The serviceman was prompt and knew what he was doing. Very professional and the cost was reasonable. I have been taken unaware by service call fees by another area plumbing company I won't name here. I would recommend Long Lake Plumbing to any one in our area, (about 30 miles from Alpena).

+ 0 moreThe valve had been leaking for quite some time and I didn't feel qualified to fix it since it involved turning off the water to the house. Bob did a great job and the work site was very clean when he finished. One less worry for me as a homeowner. Once again very pleased with the service, responsiveness and the price.
Description of Work: We called Bob again for some leaky pipes in the basement where the water service enters the house. Not only did he replace the one leaky valve, but he put all new and different valves on 4 pipes, which seem much more secure than the old leaky valves (I asked him to replace the valves if he thought it was necessary).

+ -1 moreEXCELLENT experience. We had been struggling with our plumbing since buying the house 18 years ago. We recently refinished our basement and have had water leak from the kitchen sink down through the drywall ceiling below. Finally it dawned on us that we should just have someone come out and fix it once and for all. Long Lake Plumbing was prompt, courteous and surprisingly low cost. He did the work quickly and completely, and actually designed the system to take up less space under the sink. He also upgraded our sink traps to capture more food waste (we don't have a garbage disposal) and showed us how to use them. Basic stuff, I know, but it's making a big difference for us.
Description of Work: Complete replacement of kitchen sink plumbing, including sink traps and pipes leading to septic.

+ 0 moreMr. Walter is a very good plumber. His rates are very fair. One time, I called him over for a problem. He could not find a problem to fix. He refused to charge me anything, even though he drove 20 minutes to get to my house. He always sends a thank-you note.
Description of Work: Had water leaking down into the basement. I called Mr. Walter & he came over right away after letting me know approx. how long it would take him to get there. He fixed the problem, and happily did 2 other minor plumbing jobs for me while he was there!!!
