+ -1 moreI took my business elsewhere. I found this company's contact person to be inflexible and not consumer friendly. I feel they took advantage of a neighborhood agreement. Very poor customer service.
Description of Work: I was participating in a neighborhood agreement for backflow services. First there was a rescheduling of services, then an email stating days they would be in our subdivision. I had significant personal extenuating circumstances ( a recent death) and I also needed some assistance. I called the business and was basically patronized and told that I - and several other neighbors - had missed their services. The business was still servicing the neighborhood the next day - within the time frame of our agreement. However, I was told the owner could not stop by my house, even if I were home. He would have to come to my house - and several other neighbors, after the weekend and we would be charged a significant additional charge, each! There could be no concession because he was "so busy." My expression of dissatisfaction was totally dismissed. I have never been treated so poorly and without regard by a company. They are too busy for good customer service.

+ -1 moreHe was really nice. He was great. I have used him twice and he was great both times. He came fast. He did a great job and I think he was very reliable. So, I would certainly recommend him. The second time I got him, he was already in a job somewhere and he came right away. The first time, I remember that he came out not more than a day or so. It is not cheap up here in Northern Michigan, but I think his prices were reasonable.
Description of Work: Long Lake Plumbing came over and fixed an outdoor faucet for me because there was a leak.

The arm broke on a Friday and he was kind enough to come over after his regular work day hours and repair my toilet so that I wouldn't have to spend all weekend manually shutting the water off and on. He did an excellent job, had it fixed in a jiffy and charged me at his regular hourly rate.
Description of Work: My toilet kept running because the arm which supported the float stopped working. When I tried to manually raise the arm to stop the toilet from running, a piece broke off.

+ -1 moreBob called a few days before he went to our home and performed the work. He was prompt did a very professional job and everything worked well when he was done. We would highly recommend Long Lake Plumbing. Hard to find companies like this these days.
Description of Work: Asked Bob to replace outside hose bib that cracked because of the cold winter. While other companies said they were busy or didn't even return my call Bob let me know he could do it but would be a couple of weeks before he could do the work because of the amount of people having the same type of problems and worse because of the cold winter. We agreed to having him do the work and he said he would call before the appointment.

+ 0 moreBob is a one man operation and he is personable and full of plumbing knowledge. I worked around his busy schedule and everything was done to my satisfaction. I liked that he solved the check valve problem using his common sense. He thought the pump not shutting off completely was due to some kind of a water flow problem and when he took off the check valve, it was indeed broken (from the cold).The final time out he presented his bill and adjusted the water pressure up for me. He's not a big corporate entity so I like to hire tradesmen that fairly charge for their services and the money you pay for the job, goes directly to him not a big business with high overheads and payrolls.
Description of Work: I returned to our lake home to find that the water didn't run. I called Bob and he came out and determined that the casing on the water pump had frozen and cracked. That was replaced and soon after that it was discovered that the check valve was bad also. That part was ordered and replaced. Finally, the water pressure was a little low so Bob adjusted the pump to boost the pressure.

I am not sure about the price or exact date as I am not a home for some time so just guessed on the date and price. I will use this plumber from now on. Wonderful personality and gave me all the information I needed to understand and resolve the problem.
Description of Work: I had a outdoor faucet that was leaking and could not get my usual plumber to come to fix it. Got ahold of several others and this one, Long Lake Plumbing, answered the call and was at my home within a half an hour.

+ 0 moreThe guy who did it was very good and trustworthy. I am in Atlanta and he is up there. I told him where the key to the cabin was, he went in and looked at it and gave me a quote. I signed off on it and then he went in and did the work. A couple of months later I went up and saw it. It looked good so I paid him and that was it. It was all done remotely and I was happy with the work he did. He was a straight, honest guy who did good work. His price was fine.
Description of Work: I used Long Lake Plumbing to tear out and replace a shower at my cabin in Northern Michigan. They also put in a new toilet.

Long Lake Plumbing was arrived within a short time of our initial phone call, and completed the service which we had originally requested, as well as an installation which we were going to do on our own. When we were starting to install the toilet we had purchased, the water valve between the toilet and the wall was not shutting all the way off. Long Lake Plumbing completed the replacement with the part Bob brought with him, and we decided to have him do the toilet installation, which took within the "first hour of service" and saved us probably hours and hours of diy experience! :) I really appreciate the quick response, work done well, and all for what I consider an exceptionally reasonable price. We will call Long Lake Plumbing LLC for all of our future plumbing projects, and of course, any plumbing emergencies which may arise.
