I had a difficult tenant living in the house and he handled it with class. He also straightened. out some screw ups from another contractor did. Went in the attic and tightened it up. Also installed a new front door. cleaned up and carried away all the trash. The job was and is very beautiful. He is willing to work with me on projects. He also roofed the condo building at Jan Manor. The roof had been leaking for a long time and my particular unit was repaired by a friend three times. Finally the ceiling in my unit started to fall down and the association wouldn't do anything about it. It was caused by the bad roof, but they said it was my problem. He showed me how to nail up the ceiling He went on the roof and talked to the president of the condo association.about the roof and my unit and he said they needed a new roof. He put in a bid and so did John's Home Maintenance, who had told me originally that Tammy Moon, president of the condo association likedJohn's Home Maintenance better, but they wouldn't work with her, but Bob Wood worked out an arrangement and he finally did the job. His work is quality. He is very respectful of peoples rights and their property. Tore off all the bad wood, dried everything out, tarped the roof. No tenants were upset. Quality Quality all the way.

Had a great experience with Robert. As far as the pricing, he was excellent and more than fair when it came to some repairs to the roof sheeting also. I had tried contacting several roofers to quote the job and Robert was one of only a couple that got back to me. He responded quickly, getting back to me within hours and actually went to bid the job that same evening. I had the estimate the next day. He called to discuss it and then immediately sent a written contract also. Initially his price seemed a touch high, I actually had a lower bid - however, because of Robert's communication and discussion about job with him on the phone, it was easy to pay a little more for him. He got the job done quickly and was in communication with me the entire time. He went the extra mile doing the job properly and I couldn't be happier. I'm currently in Florida and the cabin in Michigan - Robert kept me updated and sent pictures during and after the job was complete. Excellent service and I would highly recommend him.

Robert called me back very quickly after I called him and left a message about wanting a quote. He was courteous and worked with me on selecting the appropriate roofing material and which day worked best for me. He was willing to show proof of being insured and had the city permits ready to go. When he and his crew showed up in the morning at 8:30 we took a few minutes to go over the details as his crew laid down tarps to collect the debris. He gave me a call at 4:40 saying he'd completed the job and I went home to meet him and see the results. When I got there Robert was handpicking through my plants near the garage to make sure all the old roofing material was removed and told me they even went next store (after getting permission) and made sure the neighbors yard by my garage was clean too. The roof looked great and I'm very pleased. I couldn't recommend a better builder, the experience was first rate.

This was the first time I used Angies List and I can't say enough good things about the experience. I called six contractors - two names provided by my insurance agent, another provided by my neighbor, and three that had the highest ratings from Angie's List. The three I called from Angie's list were the only three that returned my call. Of those three, Robert Wood Builders was on site and had an estimate emailed to me within four days. The other two estimates were nearly as prompt and had estimates to me within 10 days. Two of the estimates were very close in price so I went with the first response (which was this builder Robert Wood). They first removed the old shingles, then replaced them with new. They added additional structure for a chimney, added ventilation and also addtional flashing around another chimney. The work was done within two days. I was very happy with the quality and they left the place so clean that there was no sign they had been there other than the great looking roof. I would definitely recommend this company for roofing.

Once contract agreed to over email, I sent 1/2 payment deposit. I picked out color from home depot website and they purchased the shingles and had them delivered. I met them for the first and only time at the work site after they had just started. They sent me pictures of the completed work and I sent them final payment based on those pictures. Subsequent visit to the work site confirmed the high quality work. They kept the place clean and did some extra replacement of water-damaged wood that was not in original quote without charging me any extra. In addition, they were very professional and courteous to deal with. I plan on using them again this spring for deck work and painting.

It went great. I would recommend him. He just does real quality work. He's a decent person, and just an all around good guy.

Regarding the estimate, he was detailed and he took the the time to explain everything. We changed things up quite a few times and I was impressed with his patience and determination to make sure we were going to be happy with our decisions. Though the crew is small they make up for that in how well they work together. We had an extremely low area to work in so the excavation work was extensive. The cement work came out beautiful. One of our ideas would have led to problems later on so I appreciate the fact that Bob let us know a better way to achieve our results. We would always get together to discuss what was next or if there was a delay etc.. It is very important to have your builder let you know whats going on and Bob was always in contact with us. The quality of work is apparent every where you look in my new garage.. I truly believe the work that you do is a reflection of who you are, and this company is looking great. The attention to detail was as if he was doing it for himself and you can't ask for more than that. Any project I have in the future I will definitely contact Bob. When picking out shingles and siding, one thing he stressed was the fact that we were going to be living with this along time so take our time and make sure of what we pick out. It was nice to not feel pressured and to feel comfortable in the fact that he was there to make our dream a reality. As a matter of fact, that is exactly what happened. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a job done and wants it done right..
